Cuddling headcannons with wbk men because I need Suo to scratch my head

cuddling w wbk!boys ( incl suo, umemiya, kaji & sakura )

an: hope i did justice for this req. this was surprisingly hard to write. THIS ISN'T MY BEST WORK IM SORRYYY i still hope you all enjoy

SUO HAYATO

-suo isn't the type of person to be super physically clingy or cuddly but he wouldn't turn you down if you wrapped your arms around him.

-neither big spoon, nor little spoon. in bed you'd both just lay next to each other with one of your hands around him and his hand running through your hair (cuddling facing each other basically) "mh.. suo?" you mutter tiredly. the day's exhaustion got to you and you'd fallen fast asleep on the sofa, curled up against the pillows. "shh, don't get up" he responds softly. the bed shifts under his weight and you instinctively move towards his warmth. suo cards his fingers through your hair in a slow, comforting manner - a thing he'd learned that you liked during your relationship. "warm.." you sigh contently, arms wrapped around him. suo presses a small kiss to your forehead as his comfort lulls you into a restful sleep.

SAKURA

-switches from big spoon to small spoon depending on his mood

-it takes him a while to get comfortable enough to initiate, but if you do it he'll more than happily comply you nudge sakura's shoulder as the movie plays in the background, after a certain point you paid no mind to it and just wanted to pay attention to sakura. he immediately glances at you with a curious glint in his eyes. you think, if he had cat ears, they'd probably twitch. how cute. "wan' cuddle," you mutter softly, he flushes but hums in response,"okay..", he obediently wraps an arm around your shoulder and you nuzzle your head in his neck. he glances at you with a soft look in his eyes and tugs the blanket on the sofa over you. soon, your breath steadies as you drift off to sleep, sakura joins you soon after but not before running his hands through your hair. KAJI

-similar to sakura in the way that he takes time to initiate

-kaji likes cuddling with music on in the background. anything soft or slow. (i hc that he likes wave to earth)

-falls asleep super fast while cuddling

-big spoon most of the time but doesn't mind being the little spoon the rain patters softly on the window as you find yourself in kaji's embrace. soft jazz plays into your earphones, one in your ear and the other in his. you smile to yourself at the intimacy of the action. kaji's already drifting off to sleep as he stares at you with half lidded eyes. "sleepy?", he yawns and nods in response. "goodnight", he hums softly into your neck as he drapes his arm around you. UMEMIYA

-big spoon 99% of the time and almost always initiates when you both are at home and he knows you're comfortable with it

-is super clingy and loves loves loves cuddles

-(this isn't really a cuddling hc butttt i wanted to add it anyway) he's super physcially affectionate; the type to hug you while you're cooking, studying or working, doing chores, and when you're just lying in bed and doing nothing

-when you're tired or cold, he'll wrap you up in bundles of bankets and then hold you "y/nnnn!~" umemiya chuckles brightly as he nuzzles his face into your neck, both arms wrapped around you losely. "umemiya- ah! stop that's ticklish.." you complain, but don't do much to pull away. his eyes crinkle and he grins as if he's carrying the sun in his smile. your earlier annoyance fades at the bright look on his face.

what if suo isnt suo after the incident... the suo we know now is a parasitic suo 😭

Suo Hayato and centipedes are more similar than you may think.

Or maybe I just find them both cool...

(My last post without the pictures of centipedes for those who suffer from a fear of them.)

If we begin with the aesthetic relation between the two, we can see how a centipede could possibly represent the more sinister side of Suo, the side that he doesn't want others to see. Centipedes aren't particularly popular arthropods, in-fact they're typically feared, people may describe them as 'creepy' or 'disgusting' and I believe this directly links to the merciless, aggressive side of Suo, the side he represses. The red-ish, orange, yellow and brown hues of most centipedes (besides some tropical species apparently?) also play along with his appearance, red commonly being a colour to represent intense emotions such as anger.

This may be a tad more objective but I believe centipedes are eerily beautiful, in quite a similar way Suo is. He's captivating because you wish to learn more, you wish to see what his mind holds, the fascination he gives me is one similar to the intricate arthropods that centipedes are.

I see foxes being used as an animal that relates to him but, I feel as if that's more his outward appearance - you always believe he's plotting something, many of his emotions unreadable, smiles forced. I agree with the idea that he's sly and calculating but he's also malicious. Perhaps both animals represent different fragments of his personality and appearance.

I believe Chinese culture is quite a large part of Suo's character, he wears Chinese-style clothing, has a wide range of knowledge on tea and is said to speak another language which I predict is Chinese.

Centipedes in Chinese culture have both positive and negative symbolism, on one hand they're used in traditional medicine, on the other they're associated with infectious diseases, spirits and other harmful influences. This could possibly link to Suo's two-faced nature, he also claims to harbour a spirit when we first meet him.

(An AU where Suo has a centipede spirit in his right eye would be awesome, especially for a horror AU.)

In dreams centipedes symbolise your suppressed or hidden desires and traits. Suo suppresses a lot about himself, specifically any mentions of his personal life, his past and his emotions. There's a clear link between the two here, we do not fully understand what Suo desires besides protecting his fellow classmates and the town (especially his friends), we do not truly know how he feels every second as he effectively masks a large portion of his emotions.

In short, Suo and centipedes have alot of thematic and aesthetic similarities, I love the somewhat sinister-yet-dazzling vibe I get from both. I'd love to see more art with Suo and centipedes.

Still would love that centipede-eye horror au... May have to write it myself.

let's see, suo's master could be from any background, really---

he could be japanese and that's how he found suo and took him in as a disciple. he could be really into chinese sects, and that's why suo calls his master's other disciples as brothers. (not blood relatives, but as like martial arts brothers ig if that makes sense)

he could be chinese, and that's why he is such an influence to suo's habits and ideas. (tea. lots of tea. a loooooooooooooot of tea). even tho suo's master is like, self-taught with a bunch of martial arts, suo's master is still like well i'm chinese and here are some chinese ideologies i'm sharing to yall (the disciples)

or he could be from any background, really, and js got into martial arts and decided tot ake a few disciples and learned a lot abt different martial arts stuff and self-taught. (hm.)

did the master leave or die?

we don't know much abt this, but from suo's perspective, we can probably assume that suo and the suo's master havent interacted for a while. either the master left for a while (or even died???), or suo left and hasn't contacted his master in a while.

this might lead back to suo's backstory with the eye injury---would this be why the master and suo haven't seen/contacted each other in a while?

maybe suo left on his own accord bc---he's emotionally suppressed and then lashed out, causing his eye injury. his master may be the guy who's like you must remain calm in all fights which may also explain why suo seems calm on the outside when fighting (but is actually a maniac, shown in his eyes in the shishitoren fight and when nirei went down in KEeL fight)

OR, perhaps the master left after suo's lil eye injury fight bc the master couldnt "protect" suo? and wanted some time alone and figure oout stuff and maybe grow or smth.

i still find it weird that they haven't contacted in a while. but. yk.

or maybe the master died in the fight, but then suo i feel like would act so much more angry when nirei was down. so, no, i don't think suo's master guy is dead. (well, he better not be.)

so previously in a discussion (i forgot where, ill find it later) in one of the suo discussions, i say

kiryu plays genshin — he mains kokomi

suo is perfect at almost everything, except cooking. (expanding on this more, many suo centric fics i've read hc him to be on some sort of diet, due to his lack of eating throughout the show. from that i draw the headcanon that he only knows how to cook very few dishes)

nirei knows how to crochet and knit

sugishita's grandparents often bake a lot of goodies on sugishita's birthday so he can go and share them with his classmates. he does this, albeit, very hesitantly & mainly because it makes his grandparents (and umemiya) happy

nirei is very sporty. he does swimming, and plays volleyball exceptionally well

sakura actually has farsightedness and needed glasses but for a long time he refused to come to terms with it until he broke under the pressure of his friends and went to an optamalogist. he got glasses soon after

umemiya separates the snails that visit his garden from his plants and keeps them in a terrarium. he names them too.

choji draws on togame's arm

nirei's guilty pleasure is butterscotch ice cream. the others tease him for liking such an 'old person' flavour

most of the time, kaji's playing video game ost on his headphones

kaji likes animal crossing. his favourite villager is cube

the whole class has a minecraft server in which sakura continuously dies in the dumbest ways possible, he's drowned in shallow water & in lava as well as having suffocated in gravel and sand several times.

anzai and sugishita are the best players on the server. kiryu's really good at building and he spends most of his time in game making really aesthetic and detailed builds

sakura stocked up on instant ramen when he first moved because he wasn't good at cooking, nirei promptly threw all the packets in the trash and replaced them with whole-foods.

alongside natto, one of suo's food weaknesses is soda. it gives him stomach ache.

choji is the type of person who can sleep anywhere in any situation and sleep soundly.

choji and togame have matching bracelets

kiryu buys lego flower sets often because they're a great decoration and fun to build. for christmas, he bought his friends a lego flower set with a flower that matched their personality based on flower language

── YOUR FIRST DATE ever just so happened to be with sakura haruka, a guy you met on the streets who protected you from some other dudes hitting on you.

you’re a shy one, someone that can’t really speak up for themselves. so when the guys were like, “hah? what’d ya say, pretty?” sakura was quick to come to your defense and shove them away.

“leave her alone,” he said, scaring the guys off easily. you were even scared of him yourself. he was intimidating. when he looked at you, he expected you to be scared of how he has different eye and hair colors.

but no, you whispered that it was beautiful, and he managed to hear you—obviously blushing.

now, here you both were, on a date—first date, mind you. you both were at a restaurant since, according to google sakura, it was a ‘perfect’ first date.

you didn’t mind either way; any date with sakura would’ve been fine with you—as long as it wasn’t in a loud place. instead of dressing simple like he always did, sakura had to call kiryu to help him with his outfit.

he can’t be caught wearing the same five shirts he’s always wearing, so he borrowed his friend's clothes and prayed he wouldn’t get them dirty from any food.

you always have someone take your order. whenever the waiter looks at you, you get frightened. so, you put your menu in front of sakura and point at what you wanted.

at first, he thought you were recommending foods for him. “oh yeah, i’m getting eggs and rice too.”

but you shook your head. “can you, uh…” your cheeks flush, and you put your hands over your face. “order for me?”

“what? oh, yeah, sure.” he swallowed a lump in his throat and memorized what you wanted to order.

the waiter came, took your orders, and left. it was silent after that. you had your head down, fingers grabbing onto the ends of your skirt.

sakura, on the other hand, was glancing down at his phone. he was searching for ways to start a conversation with you. “so, uh… how long have you been in japan for?”

“just this year—“

“WOAH!” he exclaimed, and you flinched. he calmed himself down so you wouldn’t get even more nervous than you already were. “i mean, where’d you come from?”

“i was living in—“

the waiter interrupted you both by bringing your meals.

sakura was looking everywhere but at you. he looked at the tvs placed above you both, the pictures hanging on the restaurant walls, his food—anywhere but you.

you felt as if this date was going wrong and that this wouldn’t work out between you two.

and when you accidentally squirted ketchup on his shirt—his friend's shirt—you felt as if he was going to lash out at you in front of a crowd.

but he didn’t. instead, he simply sighed and wiped what he could off. “don’t feel bad, (name).”

“but i—“

“it’s fine!” he reassured, giving you a smile.

that smile made your heart flutter. “for our next date, i was thinking maybe we could go to… the movies?”

you were taken aback at his reaction. but overall, you wanted to spend time with sakura. so, you nodded.

“oh great, he’s already planning the next date,” umemiya whispered behind a disguise. he, suo, nirei, kaji, and kiryu were behind your table and, somehow, didn’t even get caught by you both?!

“not my shirt…” kiryu cried.
