Handaxes of Lost Comrades
These are a pair of handaxes produced from the Tranonia College's "Magykal Forging and Crafting" department. One is much more refined, utilising a small golden crystal embedded into the pommel as it's key source of power. The other is messier and amateurish with a larger shard of golden crystal as the pommel itself. When closely inspected, this shard of crystal has odd green impurities marbled within the crystal. When wielded individually, they appear to enhance the skills of the wielder however if wielded together they can be combined into a battleaxe. When close to eachother, there seems to be a small gravitational pull between the axes and a user who is attuned to both may become the centre of the orbit.
Currently, one axe is on display in the central museum of Lasthollow and the other was last seen being wielded by one of the rebellion's many troops.

Excerpt from Dr Niels Ludwig’s logbook
04/11/1449
The ritual appears to have worked, although I was out for longer than I wanted to be. Dell's guards must have found me and carried me back to my chamber as I performed the ritual within the northern woods. The gem I used as a container for my soul is currently pulsing with a strange green glow. Note to self: I must do more research on the souls of mortals. As I have been allowed time off to rest (the clerics assume I merely 'burned out' of my magical pool and have instructed my apprentice Helen to look after my classes for me) I explored the rare texts section of the library... (unreadable, check with Niels? might have been irrelevant) ...I cannot let on to anyone (outside of those closest to me) what I have just carried out. I must keep any texts or documents containing the ritual safe and make sure this current body remains as fresh as possible until I can leave this city and remain with my lover Taulath for the rest of time.

Extract from Dr Niels Ludwig’s logbook
01/11/1449
I have finally gathered all of the ingredients required to carry out the supposed 'immortality ritual' mentioned by my colleague Kevin Avimonar last month. I shall take the sacrifice needed and conduct the ritual on myself tonight when the moon hits it's peak and the veil between the magyckal and mortal planes is at it's thinnest (as the instructions state). I have attached the image from last year's ID card to this page so that, should my ritual be a success, I can note any physical alterations. (picture missing, check old office?)
