It has always been a rumor, that appeared factual at times, that African Americans do not know their history. I was also once a part of that rumor or factual statement. Well, I am here to provide a way for all races to have a little bit of their ancestor information. I have been a private historian of my family linage for almost 12 years. The things I have discovered will amaze and inspire you. I have discovered possible slave owners of my ancestors. I also have private letters sent from 1850, Wills, Obituaries from 1800’s, and Marriage Bonds/Certificates of My Great, Great Grandmother. Although, I continue to search for the keys to my ancestors, I still make time to assist those on their journey. I have gathered: Census Records, Marriage Records, World War I Cards , World War II Cards, Death Records, Photos, and more for my clients. I believe if you know what to look for, what’s hidden can and will be found. I am here to help you find the path to your past.  Website: www.lasonyalancestor.com

This year my Maternal Grandmother's birthday fell on Thanksgiving. For some reason within myself I had a urge to buy her a cake, knowing that nudge may have been from her and my Ancestors. Although my Grandmother has long passed in 2004, she have been in my thoughts on and off through the years. It's funny, when I placed the cake at my parents table, everyone automatically knew not to touch it. Subconsciously, I wanted the cake to be just for her. I think my Grandmother really wanted the cake and was sending that message around, because my sister had the same inclination to purchase her a cake too. The deepest conversation you can have with your Ancestors is through your thoughts...Listen, Pay Attention and Observe. (Previous post I mentioned that both my Maternal and Paternal Grandmother's passed away in the same Month and Day, but different Year) #ancestral #ancestorpower #ancestors #ancestry #spiritual   https://www.instagram.com/p/B5ny3oAFlXt/?igshid=llsrfpcjz9zo

Recently, I mentioned that my paternal Grandmother's father Robert born 1882 was Caucasian. I've never seen, nor spoken to my Great Grandfather father Robert, so his true relation to my family could not have been confirmed...well at least until today. Several years ago I had taken a AncestryDNA test, but I never dived in deep into the people that were listed as having some of my same DNA. Today I noticed a couple of people that share some of my DNA and also have the same Ancestors listed in their Tree. Them and I share the same Ancestors from the "Middleton" line. My Great, Great Grandmother Louisa (Middleton) Evans, Mother of Robert, Father is Edward Middleton born 1833. Edward is the first connection to the "Middleton" line in my family genealogy. That name seems to at least expand to the year 1415, the birth of my 16th Great Grandfather Robert DeMiddleton born in Gwaynynog, Denbighshire, Wales... My DNA has a tree filled with different colors, shapes and sizes. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5GlW0EFAkF/?igshid=ly5sylztbdam

All it took was one question to my Dad..."Who was Grandma's father?"... to open up a door to Pandora box leading to my Ancestors. That was a question I didn't ask until I was in my 30s. Growing up I had no clue, nor interest. Come to find out, my Grandmother who I had lived with at one point, was half Caucasian. Discovering my Great Grandfather gave me access to Ancestors that would have forever been unknown to me. Through this search I have discovered, Knights, Castles and things beyond my comprehension. My Grandmother's father was: Robert Edward Evans 1882-1956. His mother was Louisa Morning Middleton 1858-1938 (Mother of Robert) Edward Epps Middleton 1833-1910 (Father of Louisa) Martin C Middleton (Jr.) 1806-1880 (Father of Edward) Martin Middleton Sr. 1770-1820 (Father of Martin (Jr.) William Middleton 1740-1790 (Father of Martin Sr.) Martin Middleton II 1700-1773 (Father of William) Martin Middleton Sr (1660-1760) (Father of Martin II) Henry Middleton 1640-1685 (Father of Martin Sr.) Henry Middleton 1612-1654 (Father of Henry) Richard Middleton 1586-1655 (Father of Henry) Sir Thomas Bart Myddleton/Middleton, Lord Mayor of London 1559-1631 (Father of Richard) Sir Richard Myddleton/Middleton (Knight), Governor of Denbigh Castle 1509-1575 (Father of Sir Thomas) Fulke Myddleton/Middleton, Reverend, Governor of Denbigh Castle 1483-1553 (Father of Sir Richard) Ririd Middleton 1441-1511 (Father of Fulke) Robert Demiddleton 1415-1485 (Father of Ririd) #marriagerecord #paternal #censusrecord #ancestorpower #ancestryhelp #ancestor #ancestral #ancestry #ancestors #spiritual #marriage #discovery https://www.instagram.com/p/B45RMtolH85/?igshid=1m0vw7k1zcpxn

Yesterday, I mentioned that I located my Great, Great Grandmother Martha born 1866 in Louisiana. She is the Paternal Grandmother of my Grandfather Will, on my fathers side. But a couple of days before that, I located my other Great, Great Grandmother Mariah born 1875 in Mississippi. She is the Maternal Grandmother of my Grandfather on my fathers side. It appears that the Mother's in my family line has been emerging and showing me bit's and pieces of their information. Recently, I found Mariah's marriage information to my Great, Great Grandfather Edward Moss. I did further research and gathered information on the County/Town that my Family/Ancestors once lived. It is also the place Mariah and Edward was married. I even found a picture of the Courthouse. This is some of what I read about Issaquena history: "Just before the Civil War, Issaquena County, Mississippi had the highest concentration of slaves in the United States. With the slave population making up 92.5% of the county's total population, Issaquena County was home to some of the largest cotton plantations in the nation." #ancestral #paternal #maternal #ancestorpower #ancestorpower #ancestryhelp #censusrecord #marriage #marriagerecord #ancestor #africanamerican #discovery https://www.instagram.com/p/B4xtZtslsCV/?igshid=wwo1goyhflxf
