How to find the perfect pair of eyelash extensions! – by L’ASH
We all find it difficult to pick the perfect pair of eyelashes. Right?
Some are too big, some are too small and some, well just too bulky for my liking. Let’s say that in my personal experience i have found it difficult to choose the right band size, curl and length. I have small eyes naturally — well let’s just say slightly hooded. I hate it when i can see this dark shadow blocking my vision ahead. Yes, I'm sure we have all experienced that once in our lifetime? It Sucks!
After my long struggle in trying to find the perfect lashes, i came up with a few pointers, tips and tricks that may help you (and poor kitty) find the perfect pair.
First of all, you need to assess your eye and eye shape. This plays a big part in finding the right pair.
Secondly, after determining your eye shape, think about the look you want to achieve with your new eyelashes’ and where you want to wear them. These days you have eyelashes for every occasion, daywear, fancy dress, party wear, you name it!
Thirdly, think carefully about the length you would like and remember to check the bandwidth of the eyelashes. For small, irritable eyes, wide bands can be a pain and even cause minor swelling and itchiness.
Remember, the wider the band the heavier the feel. That is why i feel and recommend thinner bands, even if your eyes are big and wide. Tip: Most Mink eyelashes have thin bands and are naturally lighter.
Finally and most importantly, the appropriate curl and feathering at the end of an eyelash can be a game changer! Look for eyelashes that have longer lash strands at the end. This can help create volume and depth.
Okay, so we have added length? but what about the way our eyes look once the lashes are on? Depending on the look you would like to achieve, contrasting curls and feathering can really frame your face.
If you want to attain a foxy, cat eye, or dramatic look, go for a winged curl at the end of the eyelash and wispy, shorter length ones towards the inner eye. Tip: This style of eyelash extension is very comfortable to wear and can be versatile for daytime wear and evening glam! Personally, one of my favourites.
If you want to go for something more natural, go for the hybrid wispy look. Eyelashes' are more fanned and slightly spaced out.
Always remember, there is an eyelash extension and style for everyone! Experiment and have fun!
