Draft song i’m working on

This draft track was inspired by the cinematic intro of Yung Lean’s Happy Feet music video.

It blends a magical, atmospheric vibe with a cinematic edge, showcasing my production skills and vocal experimentation. While the track is still in its early stages, elements like subtle beatboxing add texture and rhythm, creating a unique foundation for further exploration. I intentionally kept the kick and bass minimal to maintain the ethereal tone during this initial draft phase. The direction of this piece is still evolving, allowing for creative freedom when I revisit it in the future.

Music Production Workflow: Behind the Scenes

These images show my workspace in FL Studio while producing one of my tracks. The project involved layering, mixing, and panning multiple audio elements to create a cohesive soundscape.

In FL Studio, I produce and mix music with precision, using tools like EQ, compression, and stereo separation to create immersive audio experiences. These technical skills translate into creating high-quality, polished content—whether crafting playlists, developing soundscapes, or producing tracks suitable for streaming and radio

I used channel panning for stereo effects, i like my sounds having enough room to surround itself from ear. Volume automation was applied to build dynamics; volume automation is important to me because it gives me various ways to control volume of a specific sound.

The track incorporates consolidated patterns for efficiency during mixing, i use this because of how big the data is which freezes my laptop.

The challenges i’ve faced was mixing it, i had to practice and learn new things along the way to mix correctly with skills such as mixing EQ, compressor, sidechaining and so on. I’ve been working on recording my vocals on it after a long period of anxiety thinking i can’t do it however things does take time and i’m going to keep working on vocals till i feel satisfied that area can be done.

BRiiGHT Magazine: A conceptual branding project created as part of my 2018 GCSE Media Studies coursework.

BRiiGHT Magazine is a conceptual branding project developed during my GCSE Media Studies coursework in 2018. This project showcases my ability to research, analyse, and design a youth-oriented magazine inspired by Tumblr aesthetics and iconic publications like The Fader and Clash. Event Posters:

A promotional fictional poster for Wolf Alice Live: Electric Session at Electric Brixton, blending bold visuals with experimental textures.

This poster design was created to promote Wolf Alice’s live performance at Electric Brixton. The design focuses on blending a grungy, textured & mysterious aesthetic with sleek minimalist typography to capture the raw energy of the band’s performance.

Visual Style:

• Blurred, distorted imagery conveys a dreamlike and immersive vibe.

• Textures and overlays create a gritty, atmospheric feel.

Typography:

• Minimal yet impactful text placement emphasizes the event details.

• Subtle use of color (red and white) highlights key information like “Live” and “Electric Brixton.”

GCSE Media Studies Radio Show (2017-2018)

An original radio show featuring music edits, a custom beat, and an interview under my producer alias ‘wxlfboii.

i’ve lost the final version and the other versions sadly so i got a draft version i can share which only has the music only.

Script

As part of my GCSE Media Studies coursework, I created a full radio show, managing everything from audio editing to original music production. The show featured clean edits of explicit tracks, a self-produced beat, and an interview with myself under my producer alias, ‘wxlfboii.’ This project showcases my early passion for music production, audio storytelling, and creative direction.

This radio show showcases a mix of genres, including trap metal, with a focus on emerging and experimental music also explores raw and intense themes in underground genres like trap metal, including discussions of mental health struggles. These tracks were curated to reflect the unfiltered emotions often expressed in these genres.
