Disguised as a red squirrel Wesley watched the wolf from afar. Safely perched on top of a high branch he was able to relax while the other took a swim. Curiosity got the better of the prince as he moved down the tree and toward the shore. He immediately dove behind a tree when the wolf called out to him. Changing into his human form he poked his head out from around the trunk, shooting a grin his way. "I'm here to admire the view." He stepped out and into the open now, offering the tall blond a polite wave. "You're not freezing out here? It's cold." Wesley was wrapped up in a thick jacket which was complimented by a beanie with a puffball at the top of it and a scarf. With a smile on his lips and his hands buried in his pockets, he waited to see what sort of response he could get out of the wolf.
[β] —— the canadian lone wolf preferred silence and the sound of chirping birds over the loud city, or even the sound of traffic in a small city like waynwood. the beach often brought a sense of peace and silence. after stripping himself from the majority of his clothes, ethan got into the water to cool himself down a little which was a useless effort due to the werewolf’s naturally warm temperature. however, the contrast of the cold water against his body was welcomed by him greatly. peace lasted for a few minutes, until the werewolf could hear someone get closer; someone invading the territory that he thought was his – or at least for an hour. “–people don’t normally come to this part of the beach,” the wolf exclaimed as he turned around and got out of the water. the man’s body extending until his whole six foot five was revealed, tense muscles on display that would hopefully intimidate the other if they were here with ill intentions.

Inside of the little slice of the Fae Wood that Wesley called his own he tended to his garden. Within oversized flowers, the size of buildings reached up toward the blue sky. Little cotton-puff clouds slid by overhead one by one toward an endless horizon that was as boundless as the imagination. On top of a large daisy, Wesley had taken a nap and only woke when a pixie informed him that he had agreed to spend time with his father that afternoon. He has the pink bud of a rose tucked behind his ear, and its stem tickles where it touches his neck. Lazily he rose up and onto his feet before he stretched, reaching up and toward the sky. He knew better than to keep his father waiting. His mother would never forgive him if he brushed off his father yet again. Wesley peered over the edge of a petal and stepped off of it, teleporting himself instantly to his father's place of residence. Within the golden halls, he called for him, "Daaaaaad! Where are you?!"

everything wesley said was an enigma, he didn’t get any of the cultural and pop references casper made and the red head had to end up explaining it. “it’s from a kids book.. we usually just added green food dye to it” he said as the other closed up and they walked out into the snowy outdoors. winter was quickly approaching the already cold town, the ginger wrapped himself up in his sweater and scarf. “i’ll order us some food to eat with it since our chef went home early for the holiday” he said as he took out his phone. “is there anything you are craving in particular?”
There were times when Wesley was certain that Casper saw through his rouse. He failed at understanding pop-culture references and more than often referenced his other life. Casper must've thought he was so strange. Wesley stepped out into the cold and covered his head with a beanie before he pulled his thick coat up and around himself. His mother made sure that he wore the most expensive clothing that human money could buy. She wasn't going to let her darling into the mortal world without the best. "I like macaroni and cheese. That's good. Or buttered toast. Which is also very good." His stomach rumbled at the thought. While these foods might have seemed mundane they were new and exciting to the prince. "Unless you want something else?"

“so you never read dr. seuss as a kid and ate green eggs and ham in school?” casper asked, baffled as he pulled out some sour patch kids and began eating them now while the two of them talked. “exactly. i mean, kind of. movies do play on television but so do tv shows.” he popped a green one into his mouth and began chewing it. “you know what, we’re changing plans. you can’t watch this movie until you’ve seen the originals. i have both at my place and a few other classics” he said. “is that okay with you?”
"I've never heard of either of those things. Green eggs and ham sounds delicious, though! What kind of magical creature did you have to kill to get eggs of that color?" Wesley perked a brow. He doubted that the humans of Waynwood would have been capable of killing a Cockatrice and harvesting its eggs. Those things were fiercely protective of their young. Wesley brightened at the mention of visiting Casper's home. "Yes! I'd love to. It's been some time since we've just hung out." He looked up at the clock over the door. It was five minutes till closing but the complete lack of customers in the store prompted the boy to leave early. "They can finish closing up." He gave a shrug of his shoulders, "I wanna hurry up and get to your place so we can watch this Grinch you're obsessed with."

sometimes wesley confused casper with the things he said, it was as if he wasn’t raised around other people - the red head had assumed that the brunette had just been home schooled most of his life and it explained his… eccentric personality. “have you never seen the grinch before? there’s the old school cartoon movie and the 2000 one with jim carrey” he said, taking a bite out of another gummy worm and looking over the comics near by. “the movies not real, wes. it’s fiction.. not real. have you never seen a movie before?” not so much insulting the other but confused.
"Never. This is my first time hearing about this man." Wesley sounded genuine in his confusion. Though he had always been fascinated with humans he had only recently begun to mingle with them. Within their culture, he found an escape to the strict etiquette enforced upon him within the Seelie Court. "--I knew that! Just like how comics are made up." He snapped his finger with a nod, "I've seen plenty of movies. They are just big versions of whatever plays on your television or phone screens, yes? I've seen plenty of those."

the day before thanksgiving, it was always pretty dead in shops like sweet tooth - people were probably at home, cooking dinner and getting ready for the next day ahead. casper could only imagine his families staff were bustling to try and get thanksgiving ready for the st clairs. taking another bite of a gummy worm he pulled from his sweaters pocket, the ginger plopped down on the others desk. “i figured we could see the new grinch movie since it’s the season and all” he said. “is that cool with you, wes?”
"Yeah, of course. This movie is odd, isn't it?" Wesley perked a dark brow at his friend. "This green man steals from people and we're going to watch a movie out of it? If his actions were being recorded we should report him to the police. Before any real damage is done." Wesley forgot that there was a line between fiction and reality as far as mortal entertainment went. He admired this green man. He had a goal and he was going to complete it.

the red head entered the comic book store, he had gotten off work at sweet tooth early and closed off since it was the day before a holiday and everyone seemed more preoccupied with baking pies and making dinners. he had snagged a couple bags of candy for the movies he was going to see tonight with wesley. “yeah, we’re still down” he said, pulling out a gummy worm to offer the other before biting one himself. “i closed up early. it was dead all day”
"It's been pretty quiet here, too." Wesley took the gummy worm offered to him before he bit into it. Human holidays were odd. They celebrated arbitrary things where the Seelie threw parties and hosted celebrations for almost anything. Wesley enjoyed these holidays and their themed events. "What're we watching, anyway?" He hopped up and onto the counter so he could look at Casper at his eye level. Wesley was glad to have found a friend in Casper. His friend offered him a further glimpse into the mortal world he was so obsessed with.

"Hey, dude. What's hanging?" Wesley brightened up as Casper stepped through the doors of the Daily Planet. He abandoned the front desk and walked toward the fiery-haired boy with a grin. Normally he would have been more vigilant about his duties as a worker but the store was as empty as could be. "I didn't expect to see you till tonight. We're still on for the movies, yeah?" Movies were one of the strangest human customs he had grown to enjoy.
