hello. i am so sorry to be doing this again but i am short by a couple hundred dollars for bills this month.

Lately, I've been watching early Pokémon episodes. I desperately wanted to watch Pokemon as a kid, but we didn't have cable and my parents thought it might be too violent for a while. So, I haven't seen the majority of episodes other than a couple VHS's I had. 90% of what I'm watching is new to me. Watching chronologically, we just watched my childhood favorite, "Ditto's Mysterious Mansion". This was one of the four episodes I had on VHS. It features the Pokemon trainer, Duplica, and her Ditto. I thought she was really cool. Ditto has remained one of my favorite Pokemon. What a funny guy. In fifth or sixth grade, I wrote a story (I suppose it was technically fanfiction!) about Duplica and the tale of how she met her Ditto. This notebook has, unfortunately, since been lost to time. A lot of my creative work in elementary school was Pokemon-based. If I can find them again, perhaps I'll scan and upload here. I think it's charming to see other people's childhood art. But sometimes, I'm still a little embarrassed by mine. Anyways, I'm consistently impressed with the humor and quality of the early Pokemon anime. It's interesting to see the choices made before the "rules" of the franchise and its world were solidified. For instance, you can see some fish swimming in the background of an ocean or aquarium in a scene. Not pokemon! Just fish.
