for nepalese hindus, today is kukur puja, the second day of the five day tihar festival, nepal’s version of diwali. literally meaning “worship of dogs,” kukur puja is dedicated to honouring our special relationship with dogs, who are adorned in vermillion and garlands of marigold. photos by (click pic) narendra shrestha, niranjan shrestha, navesh chitrakar, prakash mathema in kathmandu.

"For the last 13 years Japanese photographer Miyoko Ihara has been taking pictures of her grandma, Misao, to commemorate her life. 9 years ago, 88-year-old Misao found a stray odd-eyed cat in her shed: she called it Fukumaru, hoping that “the god of fuku (good fortune) would come and everything will be smoothed over like maru (circle).” Miyoko has been photographing their beautiful friendship and the way they go about their daily routine ever since.”

La idea de ser uno con otra persona ya no me apetece. Quiero alguien que nunca se canse de estar conmigo y que yo sea siempre yo y ella siempre sea ella. Porque perder mi identidad en la de otra persona es horrible ya que en esas relaciones entran dos y si les va bien sale uno medio incompleto.
