Creaking!Etho makes sense to me in a way that looking at his bases you see explosions of colour, high contrast and just everything being based on color theory, because of course after years of seeing only gray and white tones using all of the color available to him is the only right decision.

I also think that wherever he goes and brings his heart to, a little pale garden starts growing, so he actively goes to jungles to be able to better see exactly where the grass has been changed to uproot it and keep the pale gardens that grow around him to minimum.
