The Acolyte final thoughts
I had no idea what to expect going into this show. I don't know much about The High Republic books, aside from what I know from hearing some people talk about them online, so I was going in really blind.
As a whole, I really enjoyed the show. While I did enjoy watching the episodes week by week, and generally prefer that to streaming platforms dumping a whole season at once, I think this show works better if you watch the episodes back to back. A lot of episodes end on jarring cliffhangers and have a lot of pacing issues. Not to mention we have two flashback episodes, which made it annoying to wait for the main story to progress. Similar to the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, this show seemed like an extended movie that they chopped up into eight parts.
One thing I really like about the show is the setting and time period. While I love the the Skywalker saga, it was refreshing to see a story that takes place far before the time period of the movies. Everything about the Jedi seemed so polished and it was interesting to see what they evolved from. I do own the main books of phase one of the High Republic, and this show made me want to actually start reading them. (Side note: I was intending on reading phase one before the show started coming out. But last January, I started reading all of the post-RotJ Legends books, and I am currently still reading my way through those. Oops.) At the same time, I am happy the show didn't rely on the viewers having knowledge of tHR books, because a majority of Star Wars fans probably haven't read those books.
The next thing I was to touch on are the characters. I love the variety of Jedi we get, from strict Jedi like Yord, to more spunky Jedi like Jecki. I was not expecting them to kill so many major characters, either. I was genuinely so mad when Yord and Jecki died, since I loved seeing their dynamic. But my favorite characters overall were Sol and Qimir. I liked Sol because of how much he seemed to care about his fellow Jedi and Osha, yet still maintained the wise Jedi vibe. He was like the perfect example of what a Jedi should be (minus what he did on Brendok). I liked Qimir because he didn't fit seem like a lot of the other on-screen dark side users we've seen on screen. He wasn't overly angry and edgy like Vader or Kylo Ren, and he didn't seem like a cartoon supervillain like Palpatine. I also think Lee Jung-jae and Manny Jacinto are the best actors in the show.
While Osha and Mae weren't my favorite characters, I think the idea of them is cool. One soul split into two people who represent dark and light is an interesting idea. Two big themes in Star Wars is light vs dark, and the idea of found family vs the family you were born into. The idea of the twins greatly touches on both of those themes. I found myself more interested in seeing them as kids with the witches. Like I said last week, I loved the coven in this show, and want to know more about them. But as for the twins themselves, I think I am more interested in seeing them next season. Their journey this season felt like a start to their story, rather than whole character arcs.
I really hope this show gets a season two. Like I said, season one is great, but it was clearly made with the expectation of there being more seasons. Until we (hopefully) get a season two, I am hoping for some tie-in media that expands on some of the characters like the witches, Yord, Jecki and Kelnacca. That probably won't happen, but it's a nice idea.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my ramblings. Until next time, may the Force be with you all xx

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 7
I’m already happy that the final is more than half an hour.
Osha being inside the Darth Teeth helmet is going to give me a panic attack just watching her.
Considering Sol never took Pip away from Mae, he was kind of just asking for her to escape, honestly.
I hope somewhere starts selling plushies of Bazil! I’d pay so much money for one.
There’s been so much foreshadowing to Anakin’s eventual fall to the dark side in this show. This senator’s talk about a Jedi snapping one day is just one of many. I get why they want to foreshadow it, but it being so on the nose is getting old really quickly.
WAIT Who was that in that cave??? There’s no way that’s Darth Plagueis, right? It kind of looks like him.
If Qimir ends up killing Sol I am going to be so mad.
But also if Sol ends up killing Qimir I am going to be so mad.
I’m honestly surprised more people don’t use lightsabers as boomerangs in Star Wars.
Man, whoever edited this episode really loved slow-motion shots.
Osha and Mae fighting hand to hand is so cool. Especially with the way they mirror each other’s moves at times.
I feel bad for Qimir while Sol and Mae are talking. This poor dude’s just awkwardly standing there, bummed that Mae isn’t finally Sol.
NO! I I love Sol’s and Osha’s relationship. I’m sad that it’s getting ruined!
Right now I’m guessing that Mae represents the light side and Osha represents the dark, instead of the other way around. That’s why Mae failed at being Qimir’s apprentice, and Osha failed at being a Jedi. It also makes sense because of their current outfit choices, with Mae wearing white and Osha wearing black.
^I wrote that seconds before Osha started Force choking Sol. Damn, I’m good.
SHE’S BLEEDING THE KYBER CRYSTAL!?!? THAT IS SO COOL!
BUT AT THE SAME TIME I REALLY DON’T WANT SOL TO DIE!
NO
NO!
Sol giving her permission to kill him is literally so sad. All my favorite characters on this show keep dying, though!
Okay, if Qimir or Bazil die, I have no more favorite characters on this show. So they better live.
The lightsaber blade turning red is so perfect.
Oh yay, more disposable background Jedi to kill.
I guess Vernestra was Qimir’s Jedi master. Interesting.
I like Osha and Mae finally working together!
With Mae’s memory wiped, this show is going to end where they were as kids post-incident, except in reverse. With Mae with the Jedi and Osha with Qimir.
Osha crying has me crying now.
I knew Vernestra was going to be the one who ended up concealing that fact that there are Sith out there!
Does it stink that Osha is now training with a Sith? In theory, yes. But at the same time, I love the dynamic she has with Qimir. So I’m cool with it.
YODA!!!!!!!!!!
I think this was a good ending for season one, AS LONG AS WE GET A SEASON TWO.
I’ll post my final thoughts on the show as a whole soon!

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 7
I had a feeling this episode would be another flashback episode.
Yay, more Kelnacca!
I love Torbin’s bit of attitude. I’m happy we get to see more of these character’s personalities even though they’re already dead in the present storyline.
Sol, stop spying on children and being creepy! And to try to break/climb into their home instead of immediately going to tell the rest of the Jedi he found people is a dumb move. He doesn’t know how many people are inside and how dangerous they are.
That being said, I understand him doing something dumb. It shows he has had character growth since the time of the flashback.
This show’s environments are not talked about enough. That shot of the sky was so beautiful!
I am so confused about what's happening with Torbin. Is Mother Aniseya communicating with him telepathically or something?
Yeah, she is definitely working some kind of spell on him. I feel bad for him, honestly, especially knowing he never recovered from this whole trip.
I hope we get some kind of book or comic that focuses on this coven. I’m really interested in where they came from and how they might be related to the Witches of Dathomir, and I doubt they’ll dive into all that in the show.
The twins being one consciousness in two bodies is such a cool idea. They really are leaning into the whole yin and yang thing.
“You may be their mother, but you are also our leader.” “Right now I choose mother.” That line just made me love Aniseya. Her love for her children is so evident.
HER TURNING HERSELF TO DUST IS SO COOL! At least she got a cool and heartfelt death.
The witches possessing Kelnacca is so creepy. A Jedi Wookiee coming after you is scary enough. A Jedi Wookiee possessed by witches is even worse.
Kelnaccca against Sol and Torbin is officially my favorite fight of the show. I like it even more than any of the fights from two episodes ago.
Are we not going to see Koril again? Or is she going to turn out to be Qimir's master? Because my bet was on Vernestra for that role.
I totally did not expect Indara to kill the rest of the witches to save Kelnacca from being possessed. Honestly, it’s almost the witches fault for them dying, in a way. They died because the Jedi were just trying to defend themselves. I’m not trying to discount the guilt all the Jedi feel after this night. Sol did still kill Aniseya, and a whole coven did still die. I was just expecting what the Jedi did to be a lot worse, like killing all the witches in offense instead of defense.
Only one more episode left. I really hope it’s not only a half an hour like they have been, because then it will feel really rushed. But I can’t wait to see Osha’s reaction to the truth of what happened.

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 6
I love the little cave Qimir has Osha in. It has a hot tub and everything!
This planet looks like Ahch-To. I know it’s not, but it has the same vibe.
I’m conflicted on if I think Sol knows Mae is pretending to be Osha. I know he just called her Osha, but he also just said that his whole team is dead, and maybe he just said that because he thinks the real Osha is dead.
Either way, this man is going through it. And I don’t blame him. You can tell he blames himself.
Bazil being able to sniff out Mae immediately is so funny to me.
The show is REALLY trying to thirst trap us with Qimir this episode. And it is working!
“I’m wondering if it’s honorable to kill me like this.” What, is it against the Jedi Code to kill someone who’s naked?
Jokes aside, Qimir asking that while naked was actually smart. He was defenseless and stripped down in all physical ways, so it would be emphasize Osha would be acting out of vengeance if she were to kill him like that.
Okay, judging by that hug, I’m really leaning towards Sol not knowing that’s Mae.
Bazil trying to fight Mae just made him one of my favorite characters in this show. I want a Bazil.
Qimir is pitching the dark side a lot better than other people usually do in Star Wars. Usually, Sith use the promise of power to turn Jedi, and while Qimir is still doing that a little bit, him describing it as a freedom that comes from the loss of those you love is really interesting.
I’m happy it didn’t take the whole episode for Sol to figure out the twins swapped.
We DID NOT need a close up shot of Jecki’s dead body. It feels like they’re just rubbing her death in. nThe same goes for Yord.
THAT LIGHTWHIP WAS SO COOL! I’m so happy we finally see one on screen.
That is some way to end the episode! Osha’s heavy breathing inside the helmet just leading into the credits is a chilling touch.
This episode just did a lot of set up for the final two episodes. Honestly, not a lot happened. While I do like having the release of the show spread out and getting a week to digest each episode, I think the pacing of this show would be better if all the episodes came out at once. Being able to binge it would get rid of some of the pacing issues it has.
As for new predictions, I am definitely thinking now that Osha is going to turn to the dark side. I also have the feeling Sol isn’t going to get a chance to turn himself in for whatever reason.

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 5
I love how Osha cares about Pip more than any of the Jedi she came with. I honestly don’t blame her, Pip is adorable.
Damn, Darth Teeth really doesn’t mess around. But if he kills Yord or Sol I AM RIOTING.
Ooo, a Jedi-kabob!
I wonder if Osha remembers how to fight with a lightsaber.
This is a stupid nitpick, but Sol having a blue lightsaber just feels wrong. I feel a green saber would fit him way better.
“I sense something familiar.” So did Darth Teeth used to be a Jedi?
I’m actually enjoying the fight between Jecki and Mae way more than the lightsaber fight. Because honestly, the lightsaber fight was cool, but way too short.
Okay, never mind, Darth Teeth vs Sol and Jecki is even cooler.
WHAT
DID THEY-
JECKI!?!?!?!?
Okay, I’m pissed.
I’m so pissed.
I was right about Qimir being Darth Teeth but I don’t even care because of how pissed I am.
Oh so he IS a Sith. Interesting. I wonder who trained him then?
I know this is the wrong time but Qimir with the slicked back hair and a sleeveless outfit looks really good.
I can fix him, I swear.
NEVER MIND NO NO NO NO I CANNOT WILL NOT
NO
NO
HE DID NOT JUST KILL YORD
HE DID NOT!!!!
*Takes a deep breath and continues the episode.*
“I’ve accepted my darkness. What have you done with yours?” Okay, that line goes hard.
Speaking of, I’m surprised that they revealed who Darth Teeth is before they revealed the rest of what happened the night of the fire and when the witches died.
Using Pip to get the creatures to attack Qimir was such a good idea.
But also RIP Pip now???? Why is everyone dying in this episode?
Mae telling Osha the Jedi turned her against her reminds me so much of Anakin telling Obi-Wan he turned Padme against him in ROTS.
The twins hugging each other is such a sweet moment in an otherwise not sweet episode.
Mae cutting her hair I’m guessing is her trying to look like Osha. I’m guessing she is going to take her place to get close to and kill Sol and/or other Jedi.
And now the real Osha is with Qimir. Great.
Despite the obvious things that pissed me off this episode, I thought it was really good. I think it’s honestly my favorite episode since episode one.
There’s way more tension added to the show when you realize that no one is safe.
And I think that killing all the Jedi except Sol makes sense, if my predictions are accurate. I think that the Jedi or someone else will cover up the fact that Qimir is a Sith, and the rest of the Jedi Order will never know about him.
I’m guessing the show will end with Qimir dying. I’m guessing Mae will die too, but I’m not as confident. I feel Sol could go either way, but I’m pretty sure Osha will live, but maybe go into some kind of exile (that Sol might go into too if he lives). That way, everyone who knows about the events of the show will either be dead, or far away from everyone to never tell the rest of the Jedi Order what happened.

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 4
I guess Kelnacca got sick of wearing clothes during his exile. Typical Wookiee.
Osha is just going to leave without saying goodbye to Sol?? That seems a bit messed up to me.
If Kelnacca dies, I am going to riot.
I think it’s kind of weird for Mae to bring Qimir on her mission to kill Kelnacca. It just doesn’t seem like it’s his thing. But I’m not really complaining, since I do like his character.
IS THAT KI-ADI-MUNDI??
It could just be another member of his species but if it is him THAT IS SO COOL! (I just checked and he doesn’t have a canon birth year so who knows.)
I really don’t think that not informing the High Council about Mae is a good idea. I understand not wanting the Senate to get involved, but c’mon, guys.
Maybe I’m just biased, though, because I’m thinking about if it may be a Sith that’s training Mae. The Jedi don’t know about the Sith eventually returning at this point in time, so maybe they’re just less worried.
So Mae is actually going to try to kill a JEDI WOOKIE without a weapon??? That’s literally the hardest of her targets to kill without a weapon. Can she use the Force to kill him, or does the Force count as a weapon.
“I can’t believe my sister is Jedi scum.” I mean, she’s technically not.
Oh good, Sol caught Osha before she could leave.
IS THAT PLO KOON!?
I know I said it before a few episodes ago, but I’m saying it again since we’re getting these cameos. I would die of happiness if we got a Yaddle cameo.
Yord is growing on me a lot. He’s beginning to be one of my favorite characters in the show.
I am really not vibing with these giant bug things. They may be showing up in my nightmares tonight.
“My loyalties to Osha.” Mae, I hate to tell you this, but she kind of hates you right now.
Damn, Mae, you could knock before barging into Kenacca’s home.
KELNACCA’S DEAD!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!?
I was kind of guessing he wouldn’t survive the show, since my prediction has been only Sol surviving out of the Jedi Mae needed to kill, but damn seeing him dead still sucks.
I was not expecting to see Mae’s master again so quickly.
His helmet kind of looks like something someone from the Knights of Ren would wear. I know it’s probably not yet, since they probably haven’t been founded yet, but it’s giving the same vibe.
Seeing all the Jedi with their lightsabers out is giving me CHILLS.
I really am not a fan of how short that episode was. I mean, I enjoyed it. It was nice to get back to the main story after last episode being a flashback. But it was just so short, I think it could have used another ten minutes.
I also wonder if we are going to get the story wrapped up this season. The show isn’t marketed as a limited series, but I hope we don’t have to wait for another season to get the full arc. We're halfway through the season. There's only four episodes left, who knows how quickly things will happen.
But anyway, it was a fun episode. I loved seeing Kelnacca again (RIP), I loved seeing all the Jedi fight together (even if it was for two seconds), and I am enjoying how badly I’m predicting what’s going to happen next. It keeps things interesting.
Right now, I'm predicting Qimir to be Mae's (former) master. Could he have killed Kelnacca without Mae noticing he was gone for that long? Who knows. But that's my prediction.

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 3
I’m surprised they’re giving us important flashbacks in only the third episode, instead of waiting until the last episodes, to be honest.
I’m not complaining though!
This show just continues to prove the High Republic era being the gayest era in Star Wars.
I am continuing to really enjoy the world building of this show so far. It’s always interesting to see how Force wielders outside of the Jedi and the Sith see the Force.
So are these witches similar to the witches of Dathomir? Because it would make sense, considering that Mother Koril is a Zabrak (I think).
Yeah, this ceremony is totally not ending well.
Especially since the said Jedi Mae wants to kill are now here.
Master Sol looks so much better with long hair, I’m so glad he grew it out.
It feels so weird to see a Wookiee in actual clothes.
“The Jedi do not take children.” But they literally do?? Sol, you liar.
How do the Jedi even find Force-sensitive children on isolated planets like this?
So the twins were conceived via the Force like Anakin was?
Osha is really mirroring Anakin right now anyway, with her wanting to run away to be a Jedi, as well as her being almost the same age as him too.
Mae is going to be the one who starts the fire, I’m calling it now.
Osha’s mom accepting her wanting to be a Jedi is making me emotional.
“I’ll kill you.” Mae??? What the hell???
I totally called it! Mae started the fire!
Mae has some nerve calling out for Osha after literally JUST saying she would kill her.
Oh, so I guess Sol has a habit of saving Osha from falling to her death.
I’m interested in seeing how Mae survived that fall without Osha and Sol seeing her.
But I guess they’re not going to show it this episode…
Despite being 40 minutes long, this episode felt super short! But I enjoyed it!
I think it was an interesting choice to make a whole episode into one long flashback, considering that the show is only eight episodes long.
I’m still really liking the show, though. It’s making me want to read the High Republic novels.

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 2
This new Jedi Temple needs better security.
This OP floating Jedi dude is just kicking Mae’s ass without even doing anything. I can’t help but stan.
Off topic, but I hope we see Yaddle in this series. There’s no reason why we would, really, I just think it would be fun since she is alive during this time. Like imagine, we see a little green Jedi with big ears, unfocused in the background and we all automatically assume it’s Yoda. But then it focuses on the Jedi and BOOM, it’s Yaddle. I’d die of happiness if that happens, since she’s my favorite glup shitto character.
Yord needs to get the stick out of his ass. They have good evidence now that it’s Mae doing the killing, not Osha. So he can chill now.
Also, does Yord’s Padawan not go on every mission with him? Isn’t that standard for Masters and Padawans?
Hey, it’s Jason from The Good Place!! I forgot he was in this show! And I will proceed to only see him as Jason from The Good Place, and not whoever he is supposed to be.
IT’S CALLED A TATTOO, MASTER, YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND.
I don’t know why, but Sol and Qui-Gon have similar vibes.
Of course Osha just happens to be found next to the dead Jedi’s body.
Never mind, Yord came through!
I wonder if Mae had an influence on Osha leaving the Order is some way.
I like how Jason from TGP doesn’t actually fall for Osha pretending to be Mae. It’s such a cliche trope thing at this point for twin characters to do that. It also makes me like his character more. Too bad I can’t remember his name.
The chronologically first “I have a bad feeling about this” in Star Wars, at least on screen.
“You attack me without a weapon. Why?” Did her throwing knives not count as a weapon?
Mae’s really physical way of fighting is really cool. I think it’s inspired by martial arts more than other fighting styles in Star Wars. It also for some reason reminds me a lot like how Darth Maul fights in TPM, for some reason.
Kelnacca having an undercut is so funny to me. Like, it’s one thing for humans to have an undercut. But seeing it on someone who is completely covered in hair except for that one strip around his head looks really weird.
Him having a different voice than other Wookies is also nice to see. A lot of times, most Wookies sound like Chewbacca, with maybe a tiny difference. It just shows the effort the show creators are putting into Kelnacca’s character, making him have a deeper and raspier voice.
Already, the show is subverting my expectations. After Episode 1, I was predicting that Osha and Sol wouldn’t confront Mae until later in the season. I also was under the assumption that Mae was killing Jedi, knowing people who think it was Osha. I didn’t expect her not even to know her sister was alive.
It may be recency bias, but I am really loving the show so far, though I do like the first episode slightly more. I can’t wait to see where things go!

Things that went through my mind during The Acolyte episode 1
I already love the use of aliens in this show. There’s already way more of them than in other films and shows, I feel.
The setting too is just, chief's kiss.
Aww, poor little alien kid.
I LOVE Amandla Stenberg’s room on this ship. It just feels so uniquely that grungy Star Wars feel.
I don’t know much about Pip but I know I already love.
It’s so surreal seeing the Trade Federation people in something other than the prequels.
The design of Tasi Lowa is so cool. See? This is why I like having more aliens.
“You’ve lost your entire family, your mothers, your sister.” Happy pride month! Here are some gay characters! They’re already dead!
I’m always happy to see Coruscant again.
These new Jedi robes are already growing on me.
ONE WAY OUT! ONE WAY- Oh wait, wrong show.
Yord randomly appearing shirtless is giving almost the same energy as Kylo Ren randomly appearing shirtless.
I’m so confused, is Osha seeing her sister a vision or just a PTSD flashback?
OH so is this like an evil twin trope thing?
Pip has panic attacks? He’s just like me!
Is it just me, or are Padawan braids a lot thicker in this show than in the prequels? They don’t look like the rat tails Obi-Wan and Anakin had.
Yay a yellow lightsaber! I’m so happy they’re showing more Jedi lightsabers than just blue and green ones. They’re classics, but it’s fun to shake things up.
And I know temple guards have yellow lightsabers. So is Yord just a more active version of a temple guard?
And is it just me, or are the lightsaber blades also thicker in this show?
The look on Master Sol’s face when seeing Osha again is so cute, you can just tell that he still cares so much about her. A+ acting from Lee Jung-jae here.
GREAT first episode. Some of the live action Star Wars shows take a couple episodes for me to start getting really invested, but not this one. This episode just really throws us into things.
I genuinely thought Osha was the one who killed the Jedi in the beginning and she was lying when she said she was innocent (maybe that’s just me idk), so I thought it was cool that they revealed that it was really her twin sister who did it, rather than just showing us in the beginning. It felt like a mini plot twist to me. But I could also just be dumb, since the two characters have two different hair lengths (I thought Osha just put in extensions when commiting crimes), and they are seemingly in two different parts of the galaxy.
I also know that not many people will probably care about what I think about this show, but I like to just kind of document what my initial reactions to things are. I did it for half of the Ahsoka show, so why not do it for this, too? Anyway, on to Episode 2!

Ahsoka show finale thoughts
Straight up, I loved it. While the first few episodes had some weird pacing, it really picked up and became amazing. It showed the growth and evolution of the characters beautifully. It acted as a great continuation of Rebels, and was still great as a stand-alone show.
All the characters, both old and new, were handled with so much care. It never felt like fan service for fan service sake. Even when dead characters like Anakin showed up, it was always to progress the story. And damn were his moments, especially the flashbacks, really good. Also, that final shot of him at the end, watching over Ahsoka and Sabine, was so good. I bawled my eyes out.
And that's another thing about this show- It made me cry more consistently than any other Star Wars show. While I cried at the end of TCW, the last few episodes of Rebels, and literally any time Luke showed up in Mando and TBOBF, Ahsoka had me crying either out of joy or sadness so consistently. As a whole, it definitely played with my emotions so, so much.
It also left me asking so many questions in the end, so I'm thinking we are definitely getting some kind of season two. Like, I know we are also getting a movie tying up this era of shows, but it seems so much was left at the end of the show, to put all of it in the movie. Not only did Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang get left behind, but the whole thing with Baylon and Shin never came to a conclusion.
Honestly, Baylon and Shin need their own show. They were such amazing episodes, I am dying to find out what happens with them, and with the whole idea of a 'new kind of Jedi' Baylon has. I also want to know if Shin wants to split from her Master for good. But it all really hurts, because Ray Stevenson passed away. So much of Baylon being a great character was Ray being an amazing actor, and damn, do I wish he could have seen how much the fans love him and his character. I just wonder if and how his and Shin's story will continue to be told.
But yeah, like I said, Ahsoka is such an amazing show. It's tied for being my favorite Star Wars show, which says a lot considering it was only 8 episodes. I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next.
It's also been great being able to share my thoughts on the past few episodes with you all. But until next time, may the force be with you all xx

Things that went through my mind during Ahsoka Episode 8
Ooo Ezra’s constructing a new lightsaber.
It's nice for them to acknowledge Kanan again. Those few lines is probably the most they talked about him all season
So Ahsoka was afraid that Sabine would fall to the dark side if she kept training her??? Can we just unpack that for a second? Because Ahsoka probably knew Shmi’s death was what sparked some dark side stuff in Anakin… so she probably assumed that Sabine might do the same after she lost her own family.
This show just keeps emphasizing how Ahsoka is proud to be a part of the Disaster Lineage, no matter what. I love it.
“Being a Jedi isn’t all about wielding a lightsaber” Give her a break, Ahsoka, it’s the only Jedi thing Sabine can do. It’s not like she’s going to be force-lifting rocks anytime soon. (Edit from later in the episode: I stand corrected…)
STORMTROOPER ZOMBIES ARE COOL AS FUCK
Just seeing the three of them with their lightsabers out, approaching Morgan, is so cool and such a great shot
SABINE DID IT! SHE FINALLY DID IT AND USED THE FORCE!!!
RIP Morgan. You were a great character, but I’m still happy Ahsoka killed you
Oh good, Huyang isn’t going to be left behind. I was getting afraid of that, for a second
“One wonders just how similar you might become” Is Thrawn really suggesting Ahsoka might fall to the dark side, or am I just interpreting this wrong???
The mountain/statues are CHILLING to see
ARE WE GOING TO REALLY JUST LEAVE SHIN AND BAYLON’S STORY THERE? NO REAL CONCLUSION FOR THEM THIS SEASON/SHOW??
EZRA DRESSING LIKE A STORMTROOPER AGAIN… HIM REUNITING WITH HERA AND CHOPPER… AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
“Hi, Hera. I’m home.” I AM SOBBING RIGHT NOW
Is that it??? Are Ahsoka, Sabine and Huyang just going to live with the turtle dudes now???
I’m confused, what do they sense??
ANAKIN!!! The ending shot of his force ghost, him being there with him, is so beautiful.
I actually started sobbing, and had to close my computer for a second.
The ending shot of his force ghost, him being there with him, is so beautiful.
But that’s really it??? We are getting a season two, right??????

Thing that went through my mind during Ahsoka Episode 7
“No, I protect the New Republic by ignoring you” XD I’m so happy we get more Hera this week
I also always enjoy more Coruscant content
Since we’re hanging out with the New Republic, is there a chance for a Leia cameo??? (Ik probably not)
I hate this dickhead Senator so much
C-3PO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They’re getting out of a Leia cameo by sending in Threepio. I’m definitely not mad, though. And it’s nice to get a glimpse of what she’s up to around this time
Chopper is straight-up cursing at Senator Dickhead for trash-talking droids and I love it
MORE ANAKIN CONTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I said this a couple of episodes ago, but he looks so good with his TCW hair and outfit in live-action
"He was a good Master" Hearing Ahsoka call Anakin a good master despite everything is so important to me.
“I think the odds are pretty good” “No- No, in fact they’re terrible! Astronomically terrible!” Huyang is acting like Threepio on crack right now
Well now we know how the Star Whale graveyard got there
Or should I say WHALE now we know? No? No one? Okay…
“Her Master was General Anakin Skywalker?” Thrawn is probably having flashbacks of the times he had to work with Anakin/Vader
I wish we could have seen Ezra’s initial reactions to Sabine catching him up on everything, but I guess this is good enough
“How did you find me? You never said” OH BOY this will be a doozie
AND I KNOW I probably said this last week, but damn does Ezra look good in live-action. I’m so happy they remembered the scars on his cheek!
Oh, right. Sabine doesn’t even know Ahsoka is coming
I’m happy they’re using force telepathy. I always thought it was underutilized, especially in the new canon.
Sabine hearing Ahsoka means she isn’t as weak with the Force as Huyang thought!
I can’t tell if this is normal Master/Apprentice type of slight bickering, or if Shin is eventually going to go on a separate path from Baylon. It would be cool to see her switch sides and help the protagonists in the end.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s slingshots are so cute, even if useless
I didn’t expect Baylon vs. Ahsoka round 2 this soon, tbh
JUST TAKE YOUR LIGHTSABER BACK, EZRA I really want to see him use it in live-action
I’m happy he has at least been keeping up with his Force wielding practices
Ahsoka literally rolling in at just the right time!
DAMN I was really hoping Shin would surrender just so she could spend more time with Sabine
YAY More happy reunions
I actually think this is the first time we’ve heard Ahsoka laugh, post-TCW
This show continues to be amazing. It’s definitely one of my top three favorite Star Wars shows, at this point.
Also, as I type this listening to the credits roll, shout-out to Kevin Kiner, the man behind the music for this show. The soundtrack is amazing, and definitely further elevates the show.
Oh yeah, and the last episode is next week... I'm not ready but also can't wait

Some predictions for the remaining episodes of Ahsoka
I have a feeling Ezra will reveal he hasn't really been in tune with the force. Not totally cut off from it, just not really using it.
Everyone will travel back to the main galaxy, obviously.
Ezra and Hera will eventually reunite, probably in the last episode, and Jason will finally meet his Uncle Ezra.
Some kind of sad/somber moment with Ezra, Hera, Sabine, and Jason where they just think or talk about Kanan.
Ezra might suggest training Jason. It would be so cathartic to have him training his master's son.
I don't think Filoni would write Jason to go to Luke's Jedi Academy. It would just be too dark, considering we know what happened to the students there.
Something with Baylan and his weird Jedi philosophy is DEFINITELY going to happen. He thinks he (and Shin) are some "advanced" version of the Jedi. I think he might betray, or just split apart from Morgan, the Witches, and Thrawn at some point.
Something might happen with Shin. She was gazing at Sabine a lot in Episode 6, and I'm not just saying that because I ship them. She also has been questioning Baylon a lot. Maybe she'll switch sides.
I KNOW Filoni has been kind of ignoring the fact that Ahsoka kept insisting that she wasn't a Jedi in TCW's final season, but I think this show will have her eventually reclaim the Jedi label for herself.
This isn't for this show specifically, but for the Heir to the Empire-type movie. I think Ahsoka will be the one who kills Thrawn, maybe even dying in the process.
I do think we will eventually get Ahsoka's death, especially considering her voice was with all the voices of the other dead Jedi in TRoS. I'd be happy being wrong, though.

Things that went through my mind during Ahsoka Episode 6
Ahsoka is talking about not having enough time to prepare Sabine to make the right choice about leaving to find Ezra, when I don’t think any amount of training could have changed her mind. Kanan’s gone, Hera, Chopper and Zeb are often off doing New Republic stuff. Even with Ahsoka back as her Master, she is probably still feeling extremely alone. She loves Ezra, and there is no way Ahsoka could have convinced her not to go.
“Perhaps for Sabine it was the only choice.” See, Huyang gets it
Huyang saying “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away” is making me laugh my ass off
It’s hilarious, yet makes me slightly uncomfortable, since Star Wars never really breaks the fourth wall
How dare they not let Sabine share a room with her new girlfriend, Shin
OKAY BUT SERIOUSLY. LOOK AT THE WAY SHIN LOOKS AT SABINE IN THE COCKPIT, I love my space lesbians
Wow, Shin has talked more in this episode than she has in the whole show so far.
Baylon DEFINITELY has his own plan he is hiding from Morgan and the witches. Can’t wait to see how that goes
SABINE IS FINALLY USING THE FO- oh, never mind
The shot of the battered Star Destroyer arriving combined with the music is giving me chills
Hey, those are some cool ass looking Stormtroo- OH SHIT ITS THRAWN
ITS ABOUT TIME
Such an amazing entrance into live-action for him. I feel it is definitely succeeding at letting casual, non-rebel-watching fans know how important and how big of a figure he is.
I’m sorry but he still totally looks like a blue Elon Musk.
Soooooo… Where’s Ezra?
I just know Ezra would love collecting all those cool Stormtrooper helmets
I don’t know what the rat-dog thing is but I love him
SABINE USE YOUR LIGHTSABER
Oh hey, she actually listened to me
Lars Mikkelsen is doing a great job so far at portraying Thrawn in live-action. His mannerisms and body language are just like they were in Rebels.
STOP YELLING AT THE RAT-DOG, SABINE, HE CAME BACK AND IS TRYING HIS BEST
No, but seriously Rat-Dog is adorable and I would die for him
*Me singing* Teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenage mutant ninja turtles!
TMNT-looking dudes know Ezra… Okay where is he then??
AGHHHJBJKSDK IT’S EZRA
EZRA I MISSED YOU *actually crying*
Ngl I’m kind of sad his hair isn’t blue BUT I’M STILL SO HAPPY HE’S HERE
We all needed that hug, let’s be honest
Rat-dog is called a Howler? Good to know.
I was so scared that Ezra would be all traumatized, depressed, and a shell of himself when we saw him again, I’m so happy that’s not the case. He seems to be doing great, all things considering
I wonder if Sabine will give him back his lightsaber, or if he has been using the force at all since he’s been gone.
I hate to nitpick, but, they made his eyes blue (which I’m happy about) but not his hair??
Oh right, for a few minutes, I actually forgot Ahsoka was on her way and that this was her show
Like how last episode was for TCW fans, this episode was for Rebels fans!! Another great episode.

I think it would be cool if Luke used Yoda's lightsaber as a secondary one since he still has it (as of BoBF), similar to him using the red shoto sometimes in Legends. I have no idea what instances would warrant it, but I think it would be a nice way to honor Yoda, similar to how his green saber's hilt honors Obi-Wan.

The idea that Anakin is sitting around in the world between worlds just watching the events of the galaxy unfold is very beautiful. It speaks of him as the chosen one, keeper of the balance, but it is also so comforting to me as a stanakin. He’s not gone. He’s right there, watching. Even if we can’t see him or feel his presence.

INCOMING STREAM OF THOUGHTS ABOUT ANAKIN IN AHSOKA EPISODE FIVE
I love those flashbacks and what happened in the world between worlds so much. Hayden put in the work to incorporate how TCW Anakin talks into his performance. And seeing him in his TCW armor? Amazing. His face wasn't off-putting like the last episode, and I couldn't even tell if they de-aged him in the flashbacks or not.
Ahsoka's kid actress was also great. Seeing live-action Ahsoka as a kid in the Clone War really drove home how messed up it was for a kid to have to fight. And I love how Filoni is doing his best to retcon her being in a tube top for part of the war.
And now for what actually happened. Did Ahsoka imagine him? If not, was Anakin testing her, or does he actually struggle with the dark side, even after death? I do love the idea of him, watching over Ahsoka, Luke, and Leia in the afterlife.
This episode was such an amazing tribute for TCW fans. I loved every second of it. And now, I will go cry some more about Anakin.
