Turns out I have more to say.

Daemon barely says anything once he arrives at the dinner. In fact the only people he talks to are Lord Royce, who tries to goad him into admitting he killed Rhea, Laena, who flirts with him, and Rhaenyra. He doesn't address Viserys or Lord Strong or even Rhaenys.

And here's the thing, Daemon is at his most dangerous when he's quiet.

I have already given my opinion on Daemon's planning abilities. Namely that he doesn't have any. He makes spur of the moment decisions and hopes for the best. We see this in the Vale. I think he went there to deal with Rhea, probably to cause an accident that would kill her, but I don't think he would have taken the final blow if she hadn't taunted him. She made him angry and so he made a split second decision that ended with him bashing her head in.

And then he shows up at that wedding and stays quiet. No pea-cocking, as he's usually so fond of doing, no quipping, nothing. Just conversations he forced into until he gets to speak with Rhaenyra. He isn't planning, he's observing. He's got a goal: get to Rhaenyra. How does he do that? Oh, the girl who's been making eyes at him went to the dance floor, where Rhaenyra is. Let's follow her. Spend a few moments flirting, get out, and move down the line.

I think if Cole hadn't been a dramatic asshole, he would have taken her. She wouldn't have fought him and he would have married her as fast as Syrax and Caraxes could have gotten them to Dragonstone.

My darling boy doesn't make plans, but he is one hell of an improvisor and that's what we saw in this episode.

I have things to say, but first.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOLY FUCKING SHIT

Just...he's alive? They faked his death?! She set them both free?!

(I feel so bad for Corlys and Rhaenys. I hope they tell them someday.)

Also, I now see the wisdom of keeping them apart for 10 years. The two of them, making eyes at each other at the wake is peak unhinged behavior and I love them for it.

I love that they had Daemon admit that he left because he knew she was too young and he needed to be the one who left. I also adore the fact that, 10 years apart, and they are perfectly in sync.

But seriously, one punch to Ser Crispy was too much to ask? Seriously? Daemon could have thrown one punch, just cause he deserved it.

Alicent has lost her mind though, but, honestly, I kinda get it. She has done what she has been told her whole life, only to watch as Rhaenyra does what ever the hell she wants and her husband just goes with it. That would be crazy making. That being said, when your go to in that situation is attempted maiming/murder, it's time to rethink your life choices.

Layrs Strong is creepy as hell and I want him dead. Enough said.

I'm sure I'll have more nuanced things to talk about, but for the moment I'm gonna go watch the beach scene again.

I don’t know about you but this Spotify Jimin look is one of the best. He looks divine! The exposed forehead. His eyes. His small smile. The cool, calm, and collected demeanor. Everything is just heavenly! But what else can we expect from THE Park Jimin, right? He can go from cutie to lovely to sexy and everything else in between and you will still be gobsmacked each and every time with the Jimin effect, which will eventually turn into a Jimin hold.

We mere mortals should be eternally grateful that we get to have a glimpse of the beautiful Park Jimin.  Can I get an amen?
