"..." Ryou mouths something silently, staring at the sheet before him. A sentence sits there, unfinished.

He's beginning to suspect he's completely forgotten the language he's writing in. The rhythmic clicking of his mechanical pencil isn't helping his thoughts along as well as he'd hoped.

... And the moment that thought registers, Ryou realizes there's a presence near him he hadn't noticed before.

A turn of his head confirms it; he's got company. Company whose focus he was probably disrupting with all the pencil-clicking, especially in such a quiet little library.

"Ah. Uh. S-sorry, I thought I was alone..." Ryou offers a sheepish smile, quickly averting his eyes to his notebook again. "I hope that wasn't bothering you too much, I'll..."

He trails off mid-sentence, a vague look of recognition forming on his face. Ryou tilts his head as he takes a second glance, mouth slightly agape--- the thought 'you look familiar' sits at his lips, unspoken. He's actually pretty sure he's seen her before, when they were both in high school, but...

Well, it would be downright awkward to ask her name if it turned out they had actually been in the same class or something, and he's drawing an absolute blank here.
