Kugypt
Kugypt is an young up and coming rapper/singer from Pom City, Papua New Guinea.
Coming from a third world country in the South Pacific, he fell in love with music from an early age with influences coming from the likes of Outkast, Kanye West, Timbaland, Pharelle and 50cent just to name a few.
Aspiring to be an artist, he always lived his life working towards his goals from a young age and moved closer to music as he grew older. This meant getting in touch with local bands in his home town and getting familiar with how records were produced.
At the age of 14 he started producing and recording his own songs, experimenting with sounds and genres. Over the years Kugypt has crafted his own style and worked with fellow local artist from the region such as Sean Rii from Solomon Islands and Mak Zaddy.
Currently in Atlanta, he released his fist ‘freestyle tape’ which consist of 8 tracks, the beats were taken from Atlanta’s iconic producer Metro Boomin, from his recent album “Not All Heroes Wear Capes.” With a music video released for “Better Get With It”, one of the 8 tracks on the tape https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWvjEJ_puD0.
Getting a positive reaction from listeners and his fans, Kugypt’s next project “OTW” will be his first mixtape that is set to release early May, 2019. Teaming up with Nevada based producer, LeQ for the single “Vibrant” being streamed on all platform the song is generating good feedback for the third world born rapper. With the second single “Company” coming out on May 2nd, 2019, the road for Kugypt only seems to be going up as he releases banger after banger″
