body neutrality will always be more important than body positivity. you don't need to expand your definition of beauty to include yourself. you have a nose for breathing, legs for walking, and eyes for seeing. you don't owe "beauty" to anyone. learn to be comfortable in your body without having to be seen as 'attractive". confidence does not mean attractiveness

Listen I hate the normalization of smut and sex in every novel, especially with abusive men being often the “love interest,” in those novels, but comparing middle aged women who read those novels for fun to men who have porn addiction which leads them to hurting and killing women is like comparing apples and oranges.

Once you start seeing how often women are used as shock absorbers in our society, you'll never stop seeing it. It happens in every way, emotionally, physically and sexually.

Just think, how many men come home and take shit out on their wife? How many men with violent tendencies take it out on prostituted women? how girls are put in classes with rowdy boys at the expense of their own studies, how many women are in the service industry, at call centers, how high the domestic violence rates of police officers is, how many women bend over backwards to take on the emotional needs of men, the list goes on and on
