Hey gorgeous! Natasha here. I have three questions for you. 1) have you ever used any Charlotte Tilbury products? 2) If so, what are your favourite products from her line? and 3) Do you recommend Tom Ford make up brushes and if so, do you have a favourite brush by Tom Ford? xx
Hi lovely, ooh no I haven’t used Charlotte Tilbury before! Should I? I have two Tom Ford brushes which are just my own, I absolutely love my big powder brush, its the biggest in the range. But to be honest my cream foundation brush absorbs more product than it gives. So I mean you do get a beautiful finish but you’re using more product. For foundation I love using rounded kabuki brushes because they buff the product into the skin without taking too much! x x

Hi Karla, Do you apply foundation first or do you start the eyes first? I always do foundation first and then have trouble with the messy fallout. Have you got any tips on fixing the fallout so the makeup doesn't look messy after it's done. Xx
Hi love! DEFINITELY eyes first! Then clean up afterward with a cotton tip and sculpt the eyes to the shape that best suits you. I use MAC Pro remover to clean up xxx

How do you 'make it' in makeup? How did you gain your clientele? I remember I started following you a few months ago and you had 1000 followers, now you have almost 16k! Even getting to that 1k point, any tips? Love your work! Xx
Hi love, thank you so much for following & for your support! Honestly, I think word of mouth is probably what helped me gain a strong cliental. Try to find some great lighting and be selective with the photos you post. Getting lots of reposts helps as well :) x x

Why Mineral Makeup?
As much as I love makeup - If you are one of my clients, you would know that theres about a 1 percent chance that I’m wearing more than moisturiser on my face while I work, for two reasons really. One because I worked six days a week in retail cosmetics where I had to look like it was my wedding day every day and two, I work from home.. duh.
I get lots of messages asking me for the best foundation for everyday. People usually ask me to recommend them “Something light, something that doesn’t make you feel like you’re wearing makeup”. Given that I only really had moderate to full coverage foundations in my kit, I thought I’d go on a hunt to find a good one!
All skin types are different, sometimes one persons skin can handle heavier makeup than others. This is just a recommendation of what you can look into if you wanted to start wearing lighter products each day.
WHY I RECOMMEND MINERAL FOR EVERYDAY
Because anything that says “mineral” on it means its made up of natural ingredients that allows your skin to breathe through the product. When your skin can breathe through the product, you are less likely to clog your pores & break out. Everything on your face will improve, the texture being first!
If you feel a little insecure in certain areas of your face that may be prone to blemishes and imperfections - try using a fuller coverage concealer just over those areas and then a light foundation on the rest of your face. Sometimes we’re just tricked into thinking we need the thickest foundation for a flawless finish.
MY FAVOURITE CONCEALERS WITH MODERATE COVERAGE
Tarte Cosmetics creaseless concealer
MAC Prolong wear concealer
Anastasia Beverly Hills full coverage cream perfector
A GREAT MINERAL BRAND AND WHY
I decided that I wanted to introduce softer products to my kit for those who like a less coverage, more natural finish. I came across INIKA Cosmetics, I read into their brand to find that it was 100% Organic with 70-95% mineral ingredients and not tested on animals! YAY.
The products have a soft peppermint/plant smell which is super fresh and I like, I HATE when products smell like sunscreen. Yuck!
The foundation gave me a dewy, medium coverage which I then applied the powder lightly over to set it. I blended the “Sunkissed Bronzer” over the sides of my face to give me a slight bronze shimmer in the light which I liked. I used the “Peach Fetish” pigment over my eyes and softly as a highlight to my face. I liked that the pigment was versatile!
THE LOOK
I’m also wearing Anastasia Beverly Hills lipgloss in Melon & Living doll lashes in Sweet Wispies.
Until next time guys,

Why You Need A Primer
Primer is the invisible, yet most crucial element when applying your makeup. Think of it like this - everything you make needs a base, it needs something to stick to, to sit on top of, to make the application so much smoother.
The natural surface of the skin has oily and dry spots - if you were to apply a foundation over the surface of what I just mentioned - how do you think its going to look? Or more importantly, how do you think its going to feel? You cannot get a foundation that is perfect for all skin types. That shit just don't exist yet.
If you applied a foundation that was suitable for oily skin, it might look good in those areas. But what about the dry? I’ll tell you whats going to happen, those dry spots are going to absorb all the moisture that they can - this is why you think your foundation goes “patchy”.
If you apply primer to your skin first, it is going to create a layer so that your foundation sits on top of that and won’t get so absorbed into the pores of your skin. This is going to minimise the risk of them clogging! This is why it is also important to then set your foundation with a powder to stop it from moving, this will help it last.
“BUT HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT PRIMER?”
You can find the right primer by appropriately assessing your skin type. Ask yourself - Do I get shiny? If so, where do I get shiny? How long after my makeup is applied do I get shiny? If your t-zone appears a little shiny anything between 3-5 hours after makeup is applied, it is completely normal as that is the area of our faces that produce the most oil. You just need to touch up with powder.
If you are oily, you just need a mattifying primer with appropriate oil control to give you a smoother finish.
“BUT I DONT GET SHINY, I’M JUST DRY ALL THE TIME”
Well then you need to ask yourself, is it just the surface of my skin that is a little dry? Or am I completely dehydrated? There is a difference between the surface of your skin being some what dryer than other spots (around the nose and forehead) and running your fingers across your skin and it feeling like sandpaper (even your cheeks being excessively dry).
If this is the case, no amount of moisturising primer is going to change that in ten minutes, You need a deep, hydrating moisturiser that you should include in your skincare regime. Followed by a regular hydrating primer when you start your makeup application.
If you go onto the skin using thick products that just have a whole lot of shimmer in them to replicate hydration - you will make yourself look sweaty. This will only be okay for the first ten minutes, as the day goes on you will end up looking like a shiny disco ball - trust me, I learnt the hard way.
WHAT I FOUND WORKS BEST -
Normal skin - Oily tzone
Mac Cosmetics “Oil Control Lotion” through out the t-zone & Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Primer all around the face.
These can be purchased from any of their retail stores and online stores.
Excessively oily skin
OC Mattifying gel throughout the whole face
This can be found on www.dermocosmetica.com.au
Dry & Dehydrated Skin
First, I want you to drink water, then...
MAC Cosmetics “Mineralize Face & Body Lotion” throughout the face & Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Primer over the top (Allow the moisterizer to set into the skin for fifteen minutes before applying your primer)
Normal Skin
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Primer
Makeup Forever Hydrating Primer
Do not spend $50-$70 AUD on high end foundations and then refuse to buy a primer. Invest that extra money on a product that is going to benefit you. You don’t have to buy expensive products, you need to buy good ones.
Until next time guys,

MINK Lashes - What are they? Why I love them & how to apply them!
Let me start off by saying, I have the most sensitive eyes known to mankind. If you were one of my five friends I have on snap chat, you’d know that for the past god knows how long, every time I remove my eye makeup my eyes swell up like I just had two rounds with Rocky Balboa. But, beauty is pain right?
For the past five years I have attached false lashes to 99.9% percent of my makeup applications. And no, it doesn’t matter how long your lashes are naturally, it completes the look.
Several weeks ago I came across an Australian brand, Living Doll Lashes, they RRP at $29.95 per pair with 100% cruelty free guarantee. I bet you’re wondering just how they can be 100% cruelty free?
HOW MINK LASHES ARE CREATED:
· The mink animal itself is unharmed – the lashes are created by brushing the animal gently, letting the natural hairs of the mink to fall off, giving the lash makers lots, actually thousands of materials to work with.
These have been the gentlest, comfortable and long wearing lashes I have ever purchased. All times I have worn them I have left them on all day, when usually I rip them off within a couple of hours.
The comfort of your eyes are the most important, I recommend them to all clients, especially those with more sensitive eyes. They’re 100% reusable, so you will definitely get your moneys worth by wearing them a couple of times.
THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN APPLYING LASHES (This is going to take patience, a hell of a lot of swearing and perhaps a glass of wine):
· Always place the false lash to your natural lash bed first, to see where you need to cut the lash band so it fits your eye perfectly
· Look down into a hand mirror and apply your false lashes using tweezers (ensure that the tweezers are holding the lash by the centre of the band)
· Always attach the centre of your lashes first, then focus on gluing down both ends, start from the inner corner and then work toward the outer corner
· Only apply a VERY minimal amount of mascara after your lashes are applied – this will lengthen the life of your lashes and allow them to be more reusable
If its any conciliation, I still swear like a crazy woman when I’m applying mine!
