Hi I've been watching all of the react videos you've posted on youtube and they're the best k pop react videos i've seen so far ngl I was wondering if there was a place to request songs for u& everyone to react to?Been looking everywhere but I can't seem to find where or if you do take requests or not :( It's rly nice to see ppl who aren't judgy&actually appreciate the music *sheds a tear* (the song i was gonna request was any lay songs tbh like lose control but if u don't take requests it cool)

Yeah there’s no official place I take requests since I get enough in the comments.

Basically i’ll check things out when I see suggestions, but there’s no promise we’ll react to them.

I choose songs now based on musical content...aka is there enough things happening music theory-wise for us to comment on or not.

It looks like Lay’s Lose Control is in chinese? we only react to /k/pop...so we won’t react to music in any other languages (b/c of my fear of copyright).

Hey Umu, I was wondering if you could check out ft island's new song, Wind? It's got some cool orchestration in it and it'd be cool if you could give your thoughts on it ^^

I watched it the day it came out :)

I felt like this song did indeed have nice strings, but in the end, simple pop-y strings. aka diatonic “feel good” chords that supported the mood well...they created a nice atmosphere, along with the acoustic guitar and piano.

In the end the vocal melody was very predictable. For those who cant predict it, it sounds very emotional (i really wish i could turn off my musicians ear and just listen and enjoy).

I feel like if they varied the melody more (instead of using the same exact melodies over and over) and added more vocal harmonies the song would have been much better. even the instrumental break with the strings and electric guitar was using melodies already established earlier in the song.

In the end this song had nice contrast between versus, but overall very simple musically.

Hi!!

I really love the sub unit song Hey Mama and The One. The full group songs that I like best are Lucky One, Monster, Miracles in December and Growl.

I don’t like a lot of BTS’ earliest music, since i’m not a big fan of hip hop style music...like their cyphers or No More Dream, or anything from their first 3 albums haha. (tho I jam to Tomorrow & Let Me Know once and a while ;))

Problem is, Yunyi gets really angry when I show girl groups that are sexualized/objectified in any way, so I might have to save most girl group reactions till after she leaves. Or just not show girl group MVs. So, still trying to figure that out.

Have you ever thought about about doing a MV vs. Dance Practice vs. Live react for your Classical Musicians React series? I would love to see how people react to how the music transforms between those three types of videos!

That’s a cute idea, and I have thought of MV x live before, but sadly, no I won’t be doing that.

I may sometimes (aka very rarely) show an MV to the reactors and have the vocalists react to the live, but otherwise I have multiple reasons for not going down that path :’) Thanks for the suggestion tho ^^
