About some Ace Attorney dad ages

Lately I have been checking on some characters' age and I noticed how old some of them are to have such young children, so I wanted to comment on three dads I found the most interesting:

I think we should ask why did Manfred had another child at such late age, like why you as a 47 years old would decide to have another baby (Franziska was 2 when DL-6 happened omg, probably why she never noticed any change in his father's shoulder mobility), when you already have a kid that probably already entered adult life or at their late teens, why the bother to have another after a long time?

I don't know or remember if he ever explicitly said that he wanted a successor (considering that Franziska never talks about her sibling neither seems to be related with prosecutors), but it's funny to think that franziska was an oops baby

Another case i find it extreme is Excelcius. He is 68 in aai2 meaning that he had Eustace at 51-52?? Now soemone tell me please why on earth would you be thinking on breeding at 51, your big ass age should be thinking on retirement not having children dawg

And its interesting because, its not like it's implied that he has other children, nor Eustace seems to acknowledge any other close relative that isn't his father, and Excelcius' house was empty besides Eustace, so I'm pretty sure that he is an only child.

But if he hated him so much why on earth would you want a child, and at such late age on top of that? My only theory (and makes sense with his character) is that he only wanted a kid out of greed, probably saw Manfred with 2yo Franziska and wanted one too for himself or something.

We dont know his age but considering that he died when Lang was a teen or a very young adult, Da Long Lang looks so old here, so maybe Shi Long was another baby that came in his late years.

We practically don't know anything about Lang's family besides his dad but I do think he might have other elder siblings considering how family-oriented Shi Long is (also it would be funny Lang being the baby of the family)

sanegiyuu secret relationship except they’re so bad at hiding it—sanemi’s smiles are genuine and sweet, mostly when sent towards giyuu—giyuu talks when sanemi addresses him but rarely anytime else—they begin to stray closer and closer with each meeting, but the change is drastic so one meeting they’re sitting only five hashira away, then the next they’re separated only by an incredulous obanai—they’re spotted more than once whispering to each other when shinobu requested them to rest before their following mission at the butterfly estate—during the hashira training tanjiro finds giyuu’s house smelling heavily of ohagi and tea—sanemi requested a paired mission with giyuu instead of shinobu (nothing against shinobu, but sanemi said that if he were to get along with giyuu (as the master asked gently once) he’d have to be able to cooperate with him on missions too, right?)—and it’s not long until someone finally asks what the fuck is going on here

Kanao butterfly clip edits

We really lost the chance to see current Kanao in her original butterfly clip in the Academy AU, like girl turn around!!! your sister is alive and thriving you don't have to keep her clip as a memento anymore lmao

Soooooo I made some (lame and quick) edits with her designated butterfly clip for fun

Her original clip is so pretty it's a shame we never see it again 😭

It's also the same clothes they made her wear when she was young LMAO either ufotable loves to recycle or they buy the exact same clothes, anyways I stand for inhereted clothes for my butterfly sisters agenda

You cannot tell me Shinobu's pink hakamashita and hakama isn't the same as Kanao's in the final selection, handed-down clothes is peak siblingism actually

I know ufotable did this on purpose because official arts always respects her palette colours and choose any shade of purple for her, but no, they had to put her on the exact same two shades of pink as Kanao's

And if it's truly hers, it would be so cute how Kanao went to examine her demon slayer skills with her sisters' clothes and hair clip (and most probably the katana too). I love butterfly sisters so much

It would be cool that Kanae was actually the first one to wear that hakama in her final selection and just passed it to her sister, and Kanao wore it to follow the tradition/dress code but this is just a theory/headcanon of mine

Light novels: Sanegiyuu's smiles

I like how in the night lovels they put emphasis on Sanemi and Giyuu's smiles in their respective character-centric chapters: Sanemi has a gentle one and Giyuu's blissful. And it fits them perfectly by how the manga portays them:

and it's actually in the same light novel (One Winged Butterfly: chapter 4 and chapter 5) that we learn this, and Genya and Tanjiro (their little brothers) are the ones —other than the narrator— that describe their smiles in such way! And the fact that they are the characters described that rarely or unexpectedly smile makes the ending (when they smile at each other in the last Pillar meeting) much more intimate and heartwarming for both characters 💞

(The other description of Sanemi's smile come from the third novel, Singpost of the Wind, chapter 1):

*side note: after talking about Shinazugawa for who knows how long and claryfing with Tanjiro the salmon daikon incident, he shows a smile :) it's so cute how much it cheers him up the thought of having a chance to get along better with him (and the fact that Sanemi is, again, the reason he smiles...we see the closet, Giyuu)
