There are so many cool flowers out there…

My first place vote goes to Passiflora species. Can't really pick a specific one out!!! While I personally have had passionfruit (P. alata) and P. edulis (ouvaca? doesn't really have a recognized common name) at home (and a failed granadilla (P. ligularis) attempt, which I should try to cultivate when I get some fruits again), the whole genus has some bomb-ass flowers.

Mid-size, visually complex flowers which last quite a long while. The fragrance tends to be somewhat artificial-like, for some reason? Kinda like some sort of laundry detergent. It's nice, but not really top tier. The flower itself makes up for it, though.

They're also attractive to all sorts of critters.

Also, the flowers tend to readily proceed into fruiting, which is cool. A bit too readily, actually… it becomes a big mess very, very quickly.

Other than that, it's kinda hard to place them. I also have a soft spot for matilisguate (Tabebuia rosea) and palo blanco (Roseodendron donnell-smithii), which are profusely blooming trees. Each individual flower is pretty, sure, but their real beauty is in the sheer mass and quantity of blooms.

They're like our regional version of cherry blossoms. The first one has pastel pink flowers, the second one sharp yellow flowers.

Not really much of an aroma for either, they kinda just smell like plant matter.

Definitely up there for me. I think they can all share the top spot, they cover pretty different niches.

Honorable mentions: bromeliads (sorry, I see them all the time but I have zero idea what any of them actually are called); epiphytic cacti (specifically Selenicereus and Epiphyllum species, supposedly THE flowers of all time but they are so annoyingly hard to get to bloom and to see, haven’t actually seen one of them IRL); and Monstera edulis (boring generic overgrown white spiked inflorescence, but has a powerful and incredible tropical fruity fragrance that lasts a long time and is just generally a good time [the fruit also smells like this and tastes exactly like what you'd think it does]).
