It just hit me that marrying Bowser would mean that Kamek would be your father in law. I never thought about that until now. I doubt any of us would mind but it's just funny. Imagine the role reversal where the father is like "bring them back by 8pm", but it's Kamek telling you that about Bowser.

Just, Bowser is ready to go on your first date with him and Kamek brought you to the side giving you a little warning mixed with a thinly veiled threat. "If you bring the king back even a minute late the family will be eating frog legs". You know, since he could totally turn you into a frog. Something like that.

Or, Bowser is so in love with you that he doesn't notice Kamek in the background glowering at you in suspicion. You notice but Kamek gives you the look of "you tell my son anything and I'll send you to the moon". So you just stand there, smiling up at Bowser with sweat running down your face.

And it'd be even funnier if Bowser notices your unease and comments on it, but one look at Kamek - seeing him reach for his wand - has you spewing excuses. "It's just so warm here," "I'm nervous about this date," "I just can't wait!"

And Bowser buys it.

Then it's just you putting in all the effort you can trying to win Kamek over. In reality, Kamek already likes you. He's caught you asleep in the royal library way too many times to not grow fond of your presence. The way you took the effort to read and learn Koopa history. The way you treat his grandchildren as if they were your own flesh and blood. The way you look at his son as if you've never seen someone so beautiful.

He likes you but he will keep the charade going for as long as he can. He's a Magikoopa after all, he needs to make appearances.

Bonus thought: You going to Kammy asking what you did to upset Kamek - with Kammy knowing full well you worked so hard just to get a glance of acceptance from the old Magikoopa - will result with Kammy hunting down Kamek to hit him with her broom. She'd squawk at him until he apologised for making you upset.

Not like Kamek meant to be mean.

So with the Koopa Kingdom - and by extension Bowser - competing in sports and games against other kingdoms, it's natural to expect there to be merchandise. Like with any sports team, there'd be flags and stuffed toys. Most would probably be Bowser's emblem, but just imagine the Reader turns up, a human that is not known by any of the competing kingdoms and nations. They could buy any stuffed toy and support any team, yet they choose to support Bowser.

They buy the plushies - because who wouldn't want one - and just imagine Bowser's reaction when he sees it. A random human supports him and his kingdom? A random human is rooting for him? He'd be thrilled.

I think the best part about the sport competition scenarios between us is the fact that it's always someone Bowser doesn't even know.

It's just some random human that's enthralled with him. But think about it. For whatever reason, with every single kingdom to choose from, you picked his to root for.

Maybe the first time he sees you it's during his warm ups for tennis. You're sitting on the railing of the stands, kicking your feet absentmindedly, watching him with a small flag in your hand that has his emblem on it. You even shoot him a small smile when you notice his eyes on you. The only people he's ever seen holding his merchandise are his own.

Then at the actual match he sees you again. This time you've got a little Koopa Kingdom bucket hat with the previous flag sticking out of it. You aren't seated among any particular kingdom, in an awkward middle ground off to the side of two. And you cheer when he scores. And of course it makes him all excited.

After the game when he inevitably wins, he demands answers from his people. He's asked the kids, his goons, those two copycat's, hell he's even asked Peach and by association Mario, but no one knows all that much about you.

The third time he sees you the hat and flag are nowhere to be seen as you now have a small plush in your grasp. You've got it tucked in your elbow while you taste test some tournament sweets and chat with a couple of toads who keep eyeballing it awkwardly. And now that you're within reach, he can't bare the thought of letting you slip away. He's so curious.

The closer he gets the more he can see just how beautiful you are. Dressed in a cute little outfit and smiling brightly at the toads while you hug the plush. Now, Bowser doesn't get flustered, or so he says, but he can feel the hammering of his heart under his shell and his large confident strides turn into small shuffles for a moment.

Before Bowser can get to you, Junior races over, completely unaware of his dad's presence, and stops at your feet. Bowser pauses completely. He can hear Junior yelling up to you asking you all kinds of questions about who you are and where you came from. You speak to him excitedly, matching his energy without a problem, and after a second you even squat down to meet his height.

"Why are you cheering Papa on so much?" Junior asks, innocently enough as if Wendy didn't put him up to getting answers.

Bowser shuffles a tad bit closer to ensure he can hear your answer. He needs to know. Your back is to him which makes him unable to see the small blush that crosses your face while you try and compile an answer.

"Well..." you trail off and he sees you squeeze the plush and cast a glance at it, "I just think the Koopa King is really cool."

The softest, cutest, most embarrassed giggle leaves your lips at the honesty of it all.

The instant sound of things and even people being knocked to the side as Bowser's tail wags wildly makes you shoot up and turn with concern. There's a moment where Bowser tries to hide that he was eavesdropping by leaning against a stall nearby that unfortunately can't hold his weight and he topples over onto the ground.

"Papa!" Junior yelps, scurrying over quickly to try and help tug his dad to his feet.

From the chaos, most of the people on the street have scattered, they still litter them in droves just with a good distance from the two koopa's and yourself. Bowser clambers to his feet visibly embarrassed but melts into his "natural" charm the second he catches the small smile peeking out from behind where you hold the plush in front of your face.

"Papa this is (Y/n)!" Junior hops up and down on his feet excitedly.

You're still hiding behind the plush when you stutter out a hello.

"Now is that any way to greet a king?" Bowser chuckles, plucking the stuffed fabric from your hands playfully, "A pleasure, (Y/n)."

A bright, enamored smile plasters across your face at the way he rolls your name across his tongue and you wind up yelling without realizing, "The pleasure's mine King Bowser."

Now that he's got you he's not letting you go. He wants to know everything there is to know about (Y/n), the unknown human with a liking for the infamous Koopa King. Although he's not prepared for the amount of praise you're about to give him because what you told Junior was the honest truth. You think he's so cool.

The scenario in where Bowser tries to ‘one-up’ Mario and tries to marry you.

‘Bowser I’m not marrying you.” Bowser, of course, sulks once hearing that information; his whole body sagging at the revelation.

“Well why not?” He asks, perking up hoping that the puppy eyes he shoots at you might change your mind, however you just shoot him a look right back.

“Well multiple things—“ you fully pause the activity that you’re doing to face Bowser and jab a finger at him or more specifically a finger at the item he’s holding — “first that ring—“

“Well what’s wrong with it, it’s a Dark Lands classic,” Bowser interrupts you with a huff of his chest. However you just raise an eyebrow at him.

“Bowser it’s bigger then my forearm.” Bowser sheepishly smiles, chuckling as he glances back between the ring and you, mumbling that he ‘should have gotten the smaller size’.

“And secondly,” You resume. “Don’t think I didn’t hear what you and Mario were fighting about at that latest sports festival.” He huffs again and looks away, caught red handed, he knew he should have at least waited another day or two…… or maybe a week.

“I- Well!” He begins but one look at you has him sulking again. He huffs and folds his arms.

“I’m flattered Bowser but you can’t just on a whim decide you wanna marry me because you think Mario’s better at loving Peach.”

“B-But why not!” He tries and argues. “I mean come on we’ve been together for a good while now!”

“Six months,” you tell him which causes him to wince. “And last I knew six months isn’t the ideal time to get married.”

“Maybe in human society!”

You sigh, “Bowser, please I’m being serious.”

He whines and shuffled closer to you, pushing his snout into your neck (he really is like a dog sometimes which to be fair he’s not even really human to start with).

“And so am I,” he grumbles softly into your neck. You sigh and cup the sides of his snout (it’s the closet you two can get to a hug without you stretching yourself and him crushing you).

You sigh into his scales. “It’s just—“ you pause trying to think of the right words to say. “Marriage it’s such a big serious step in a relationship.”

Bowser nuzzles into you further, pushing his snout into your cheek. “We’re serious about each other aren't we?” You purse your lips, god you hate the way he’s phrased it.

You groan, finally giving in to him. “I’ll think about it.”

You can’t help but smile at the way he cheers triumphantly.

PRINCESS DAISY LET'S GOOOO!!

I know a couple of blogs have already talked about it but I keep thinking about Bowser wagging his tail when he’s interacting with you so much it’s crazy.

Imagine you two are at one of mario’s get togethers, you and Bowser are just engaging in simple conversation but of course when his tail is wagging like crazy out of the corner of your eye it can be a bit hard to retain attention. Especially since other people notice it too. Bowser tries to play it off but the tail is making audible noise against the floor and steam is rising from his nostrils, but he can’t even be angry because you let out those cute giggles he wishes he could save in order to listen to them over and over. It’s so obvious to everyone else (but you apparently) that he’s in love with you.

being a king means bowser is always busy and as much as he would love to be able to spend all day with you he simply cant. if enough time goes by without being able to be with you as much as he wants, he can get an attitude and will overall be very grumpy. planned date nights have become part of your guys' schedules as a result. a whole evening to yourselves, going on walks, dancing, enjoying a nice meal, whatever it is you want really. bowser is happy to just be spending time with you. he really values these nights, especially when work has been keeping him more busy than usual. because of this, he doesnt like being interrupted by any of his servants or minions when you two are on your dates. he finds it annoying. theyre distracting him from you! he wants to reassure you that you have his undivided attention on these nights

bowser is affectionate with you even in public eyes, he feels no shame about that. but being in private, just the two of you, he manages to be even more lovey dovey and romantic with you. he just missed you so much and will not shy away from expressing it <3

OMG KOOPALINGS BONUS TOO! because i know i said he doesnt like being interrupted on these dates with you, but one, or multiple, of the koopalings may crash the dates occasionally. hes often busy from work, and yes that means he cant spend time with you, but that also includes his children. whenever they want to join in on the walks, dance with you, or enjoy dinner with you both, bowser will never object. the night will be filled with laughter and fun and end with full bellies and sleepy koopalings.

the both of you will carry them to their bedrooms and tuck them into bed. and as bowser looks down at you, the one you hold in your arms snuggled into your warmth, he can feel his heart melt and he cant hide the lovesick smile on his face <3!!
