you two are such a perfect pair, really! they've been saying that since your first year in high school, to the last. you two complemented each other so well, a perfect balance, and what the other couples in school envied so much. “lucky!” “they're so cute”

and you had to stop yourself from your ego getting bigger, not only were you two a perfect pair, but you both excelled in classes you took, the both of you were the ideal, happy relationship, and you both had the smarts, lucky right? but the only downside was, you two had different plans for the future.

kaeya wanted to settle down, with you. but you weren't into that idea, you wanted to look up and big, attend one of those universities where the tuition is more than what you can get in an average lifetime. he had money, so he didn't need to worry, but you did. he wanted to provide for you, but you wanted to do that yourself.

“listen, y/n. why don't we just relax, for now? it's still our break, i don't get why you're in such a hurry!” kaeya said, while he watches you stress over your school work, in a quaint cafe near school. he was sitting down beside you, rubbing the back of your head and playing with your hair.

you sighed loudly and you laid your head on the wide wooden table, “so tired, but i have to keep going! I can't afford to get tired because i have to pass this early, yes I know that it's our break but i wanna finish with my school works so i can focus on spending time with you for the rest of the day, okay?” you rambled, and kaeya watched you with interest.

“whoa, can't believe my future spouse's so stressed out.” he took a sip of his favorite iced coffee, and continued to watch you with interest, he leaned his head on his palm. smiling as he watched you, scribbling on the gridded binder notebook for your homework, scratching your head and tapping your head with your pen.

you were sitting beside kaeya, listening to your teacher explain why maturity and stability is needed before getting into a relationship, and you feel your heart drop. it was true, “you need to be stable, oh not just with money, although important, you need to be well rounded, your health, your stance, and your finances need to be stable before you start a relationship, how can you take care of someone if you lack one of these?”

gulping, as you realized you lacked all of those. no money, your mental health not being the greatest because of stress, and you weren't the well balanced type, unlike kaeya who was perfect, he has everything, he's talented and he doesn't have much problems. and as the teacher kept explaining, you found yourself looking at kaeya, wondering if you two were such a perfect pair after all.

he is not the romantic type but would definitely go overboard on ideas for dates, his ideal spot would be a boat, just for the two of you. sitting on it while watching the moonlight, a glass of good wine from angel's share poured into two wine glasses, he would be wearing his uniform and you in a simple dress. kaeya would definitely sneak compliments while conversing with you, brushing against your shoulder slightly.

“you look absolutely breathtaking darling, in that dress too.. everything looks so good on you, even me, no?” you would cringe at the pick up joke, but blush at the compliment. giving him a smile would make him sigh loudly, resting his chin on his hand while staring at you.

a family oriented person like tartaglia, he would bring you to his home, in the nation of sneznhaya. lending you his winter clothes that are too big and when the sleeves are past your hands, mufflers that cover the sides of your heads and your ears. helping you knit a scarf , white just like the snow that pours down the lands. you traverse by boat, tartaglia holding your hand to make you feel less seasick.

introducing you to his siblings, and greeting teucer who you already know, thanks to him climbing into a boat that was headed for liyue. you patted teucer on the head as tartaglia led you away to one of the frozen lakes located near his house, remembering his promise that he was going to fish with you once you arrive in sneznhaya.

“i'm glad you're enjoying your time here in sneznhaya, it makes me happy that you're finally here, in the nation i grew up in. now! let's get fishing, shall we?”

kazuha would bring you guyun stone forest and help you climb up the high and steep rocks to watch the stars, pointing out every constellation he could see, then he would recite his poems to you, poems that he wrote while he thought of you. staring into your eyes as he did so, picking up a loose qingxin flower before tucking it behind your ear and smiling.

“pretty.. as always, my lady.” he leaned in to stare more intently at you, observing you in total silence before sighing, “oh, what's wrong kazuha?” you asked after he looked away, a slight tint on his cheeks.

“your eyes are like the stars that we observe, they shine bright, provide light in the darkest of times, especially in my life. you are my personal star, my lady.”

kazuha brought you along to the golden apple archipelago after learning about what happened on the islands, the mirages and everything else. he explained everything through letters, though you wondered how he was able to send them letters, you didn't even know where the islands were located.

you had to voyage from inazuma to mondstadt to get help from alice, who was accompanied by a small girl who kept jumping up and down and mumbling bombs under her breath, what a weird kid, you thought. alice made you travel through a angry bunny looking device, which shooted you out to the sandy islands.

you looked around for kazuha and his other friends, and once you spotted them, you of course introduced yourself. it's been a while since you saw kazuha so you fixed your hair because it looked messy from the voyage, if you could call it that. you asked them more details about what happened, and they all explained what happened in their mirages.

kazuha assured you it was now safe, even the fatui's machine that you heard of is now under control. you felt safe and gave kazuha a hug, "glad you're okay kazuha, i was worried." you sighed and kazuha chuckled, "how long was the travel from inazuma to mondstadt dear?" it was about two hours, then a few very dizzying seconds from mondstadt to here, you said.

he smiled and chuckled once more before showing you around, accompanied by their friends, hanging out and looking curiously at each others islands, curiously trying to touch mona's pool mirage before they took your hand and directed it somewhere else, apologizing to them because it might cause more problems.

you particularly enjoyed fischl's island, it was a palace and you went along with fischl's weird way of speaking, laughing along especially with paimon who always complained about her hunger. you apologized because you didn't have any food on you, and they said it was okay because they had food prepared in case of an emergency. no it wasn't paimon, although her nickname was lavender melon.

xiao looked at the ground, he could not stand seeing you cry, the accident in the chasm that almost ended up with him getting stuck underground made you cry. you didn't even realize that he was gone, it felt like you were stuck in that hole too, because you didn't have a proper sense of time, it was only a few hours but it felt like days too, you waited near the spots he was usually at, and ended up asking around. talking to shop owners and passerbys, then passing by zhongli and raising your concern.

he told you to go to the chasm, a bit skeptical because you might get arrested by the millelith. then you saw him with the traveller, almost crying in front of them even with paimon present. xiao just looked down and clutched his spear while explaining what happened.

"stop crying.. i am fine." you just sobbed and thought about it, what if he wasn't saved? "what would've happened? if you guys weren't saved? what would i do? oh.. but i'm glad you're okay xiao." he nodded, extending his hand for you to take, "let us go, i want to eat some almond tofu." you nodded and took his hand, your worries lessening when xiao eats his favorite food.

you thought it was just because he was busy, in his little space in dragonspine. him coming home to you worried sick, palms sweating as you hugged him, there was a new kind of aura you got from him. biting your lip as he walked up to the bedroom, not even greeting you. had something gone wrong? you weren't sure yet, but something was definitely off about albedo.

deciding to cheer him up, maybe one of his experiments had gone wrong? packing a warm lunch for him to eat, and a tumbler full of warm tea for him to drink. walking up and down the icy paths of dragonspine to reach his camp, hearing cheers from inside the cave. you decided to peek in and to your absolute horror, you saw him hugging a girl, not in the casual sort of way, the sort of hug he used to give you whenever he came home.

a tear falling down your cheek as you silently watched, "thank you so much lily, this experiment was perfectly executed because of you" said albedo, with a huge grin on his face. the girl named lily smiled enthusiastically, "don't i get a better reward for helping you with this?" she chimed, and albedo chuckled. your heart dropped when he leaned in for a kiss, dropping the food in your hands followed by you getting on your knees, sobbing uncontrollably.

albedo and the girl heard the cries, deciding to check out to see you on the ground, clutching your dear broken heart and his own slightly chipped, guilt overcoming him. lily looking at your sobbing figure in confusion, "hey, are you alright?" she shook your shoulder and you looked up, "albedo, darling..how could you?" lily's eyes slowly narrowed, before tilting her head to look at albedo who nervously muttered.

"how come i've never heard of this?" lily said, with an air of anger. you kept sobbing, before shouting "you wasted 5 years, 5 damn years!" the girl stood up, hands curled into fists, "we've been at this for months, and this is the way i learn you're a cheater?" lily said with an overwhelming sense of guilt, "we're done. and you two should be as well, good bye."

she slowly walked away, albedo struggling to raise his arm to stop her. deciding to help you up, "don't stay there on the ground, it's cold, you might get sick." you slapped his hand that tried to help, getting up on your own. taking the warm bottle of tea before opening the cap and chucking it to his face. walking inside his camp before ripping up the paintings he tried to hide, paintings of you he merely shoved behind bookshelves.

"do a better job of hiding next time. but unlucky me, only realizing it now." you sniffled, before walking away. albedo was frozen in horror, looking at the messy camp, you had pushed off the beakers and clawed at the board he used to sketch, an unfinished drawing of lily stuck between the clips, your own paintings shoved in the trash.

he looked at the torches that went out, cold air hitting his back, and it wasn't the only thing about him that was freezing, every part of him was, he felt cold, albedo touched his body, as cold as ice, and regret washing over him like an ice cold bath.

" ), and a bouquet of your choice of flowers. he teared up when he saw you, throwing the bouquet before breaking down, you watching him in amusement as he wrapped his arms around your waist, picking you up with ease.

the gang of his, cheering him on, one of them holding the crushed flowers that he threw earlier, making sure to fix them before handing it to him, who then handed it to you. his nose red and he happily combed his hair as he hugged you tight, “you're smaller in person..” before sniffling, patting you on the head before walking you to a cramped van, asking to sit beside you so he can hold your hand on the way to his apartment, lips slightly quivering as he looked at you.

“mortal.. what are you doing here? it is unsafe..” the adepti looks around before facing you, eyes filled with worry. there were recent sighting of hilichurls nearby, and whilst you were picking qingxin flowers, you were ambushed. thankfully, xiao was present to help. he took your hand and pulled on it, as he dragged you to a safer place. looking at the dozens of qingxin flowers you have picked.

“what.. are those for?” he grumbled as you sat on the ground, urging him to do the same. he observed the way you connected the flowers, making into a flower headband of sorts. “it's your birthday.. so.. i made this..” you gently put it on top of his head, pleasantly surprised he even let you put it, he grumbled right after. “this.. is a gift?” and he quietly left, making you think he was disappointed.

but you saw him wearing it still after a few days later.

“y/n! c’mon!! “ the oni pulled on your hand, the other gang members on stand by as you two approached the tanuki board, he made you take a picture with him for two hours straight with your kamera. combing his hair every 5 minutes to make sure he looks fresh in every picture. upset kids waiting for you two to finish taking pictures and he beckons them to take pictures with him somewhere else instead.

he made sure to check on the piles of pictures, taking his favorites and tucking them in his pocket. and once after the festival, you saw him cutting the photos into a heart shape, staring at you before showing it to his gang members, flexing his s/o.

albedo : uyuu restaurant

he makes sure to spend time with you ater his artworks are done, taking you out to uyuu restaurant and giving you tables full of food. making sure to feed you with chopsticks ( a big expert on using them, can even pick up grains of rice with them with ease ). “interesting..” he says before taking out a kamera and taking a picture, “you'll be my model for my next artwork yes? i'll show it to you once we're back in mondstadt.” klee was sitting happily and eating beside you two, tugging on albedo's sleeve. “can we go fish blasting when we come back?”

you two recluctantly nod and smile at the excited kid who clapped and jumped as she ate on tonkotsu ramen which she read as "temperature room" and you snicker, thinking albedo needs to teach klee how to read..

kazuha : five kasen plaza

this is a simple date, admiring the artwork that albedo has made, kazuha found it weird to see himself as an artwork but he quietly admired it. nodding to himself, “i should request something from albedo.. perhaps..” he lowered his voice as he glanced at you, asking you to stand by the sakura trees nearby, taking out a blank piece of rough paper. sketching you, but sighing once he finished his artwork. “does this.. look nice?” he showed the artwork, making you smile as you took it.

kazuha was happy when you said you liked it, even more when he saw you pin it inside your house, so you could admire it. a faint blush on his face growing when he visited you.

he slightly sways the cardboard as he sees you approach, another gang member handing you a bouquet of your choice of favorite flowers, and he officialy asks you out. “be my girlfriend, sunshine!!“ and once you say yes, the rest of the city are filing noise complaints.

ayato

ayato is direct with how he asks you out. he prefers to finish things immediately so he asks you to come to the estate, and the shrine maidens direct you to his personal room. preparing only a single blue rose for you before smiling. “will you be my girl, darling? you already know how much i’ve been wanting you as a partner, yes?“

and you shyly nod, remembering the times he always accompanied or followed you around with an interested face. he snaps you out of that daze as he cups your cheek, slowly kissing you before. “be with me, i’ll make you happy.“ and when you say yes, he smiles before taking you out for a walk.

he’s been thinking of how to properly ask you out, practicing in front of a mirror.. pretending you’re the broom and hitting himself multiple times because he always says the wrong things. he goes to kurisu to help him get dandelions from mondstadt, making them into a bouquet for you.

and as he asks you out, finally (with some pushes from ayaka). holding the dandelion bouquet with shaky hands and a weirdly high-pitched voice. palms sweaty as he pushed the bouquet into your arms. “uh, y-y/n, be my uh, uh.. s/o.. please?“ and you laugh before saying yes, him giving you a quick akward hug.

he brought you near the alcor, at land to look at the stars, laying down a simple blanket on the wet sands so you can both sit on the ground. it wasn't the best spot but you could see the meteor showers and constellations best there.

kazuha told you poems and unwritten haikus, anything that he had in mind as he watched the stars, may they be super upsetting, the loss of his friend. or something romantic, for you. he glanced at you while you looked at the stars with an open mouth, muttering the words “beautifully made just to be seen by my eyes” under his breath.

it wasn't even a date, he only merely asked you to be his art model for a painting. but it surely felt like a date, his eyes wide as he stared at you, trying to hide a giddy smile as he painted away. “the stars in the background made you look even more beautiful, i must give you this painting.” he said softly.

you blushed as he asked you to move slightly, a slight change for a new canvas. and when you asked why he wanted to paint another, he simply smiled and kept quiet, and when you visited him again you saw the painting hanging near the shelves, “it looks nice but the model looks even more astonishing, don't you think?”

you approached him while he was looking up at the skies, grumbling when he spotted you. “what're you doing?” “you seem lonely so i decided to accompany you.” you squeaked before sitting beside him, he slowly turned his head. “i have been alone for millenia, i am more than fine with it.”

you sighed as he looked around, blush on his face before he picked a qingxin flower, handing it to you. before you yourself tucked it behind your ear, a sweet smile on your face that made xiao grumble. “do not smile at me like that, i only gave you a flower.” and as he looked away once more, he smiled.

ayato was walking around the streets of inazuma, his boba tea in one hand, and a fan on the other. he was in a specially good mood, considering it was his birthday and it was a day off. the komore teahouse was preparing a surprise for the commissioner and asked if you could distract him from reaching while they prepared. you stood beside him while holding an empty boba cup, shaking it to ask if you and him can go and get a refill.

he pleasantly obliged, “i remember.. it's my birthday, no wonder i'm such in a good mood. no work, since i'm free! and i can order all the boba i want without the shrine maidens nagging me” he chuckled before going to that boba tea shop, asking for a whole pack of them. he must have had 12 this morning, you couldn't keep count, he sipped and made a slight tasting sound before nodding. “the taste is so familiar to me, and yet i keep wanting more.” then he looked at you.

the man smiled before uttering, “should i have a taste of your lips then? and see if i'll want more?” you slightly snorted as you sipped, the brown liquid spilling all over the fabric of your clothes, before turning your head slowly to gape at him. “what?” he chuckled once more, “i am merely joking, unless you actually want me to do that?” you shook your head frantically before he smiled, leaning in to kiss half your lips (( the other half being used to just slurp on the boba )) “hm, i might want some more later, if i can.”

your jaw dropping before you realized ayato was headed towards the komore teahouse, running after him but you were still unsuccesfull with catching up with him, the unfinished birthday party making ayato smile, once again diving into the hotpot game with thoma, ayaka, and you.

thoma spots you before you think he even sees you, smiling slightly at the way you tip-toe behind his back and sneak your way in front of him, acting all surprised when you try to scare him, saying that you gave him quite a scare and gasping slightly when you pop out from behind him. he thinks you look cute when you think you've scared him, acting mad before eventually laughing with you.

like thoma, he sees you while you try and sneak behind him, giving an uninterested yawn before he's taken by surprise, your slim arms wrapping around his torso and he almost pulls out his weapon, before putting it back in place, face flushed with a red tint as he grumbles and scolds you to not do that.

he has no worries about getting caught by the qixing, walking proudly amongst the crowds of people making their lanterns, holding your hand as you walked through the busy crowd, doors of multiple restaurants open to seas of people, all rushing to enter shops and restaurants, holding your hand before bringing you to the small bridge above the restaurants, letting you take a seat near the edge, where he helped you up. telling you that this is the best place to watch the lanterns, making sure to hold your hand so you don't fall.

zhongli bought you gifts just to celebrate the lantern rite, not knowing whether it was even his money, buying intricately designed clips with lillies as designs, traditional liyuean outfits so you can feel even more at home, pairing those said outfits with his, putting the clip on your pretty (color) hair. eyes crinkling when he looks at you from afar, “ you look as beautiful as the noctilucous jade i always see.. ”

xiao doesn't want anybody's company, nobody's except yours, looking at you with his mouth agape as you sat amongst the grass beside him, watching the bright stars and lanterns pass by, his eyes shone because of those orange and bright lanterns. feeling at complete peace while you two watched, people in liyue harbor's cheers and shouts serving as white noise for the fireworks that commenced.
