I'm gonna be honest,, I just read fics of the kid!Jon time traveller theme and I got a bit shook when they were all unfinished and I was craving for more. I just started doodling my own version to cope, one with a much more light-hearted and funny tone

And hoping that maybe my drawings might inspire tma fic writers to write more "jon time travels to his 8 year old self" fics,, i love the theme so much i dont mind reading it again and again

Me fr. Library recommended book called “the institute”? Immediate Magnus brain blasting. My friend writing her EE and mentioning the Magnus effect? I have no clue what that is but I still lost it because. Of the word. Magnus.

(Notable mention was a kid I just met talking about a piece of media he liked and mentioning the name yohan/johan ??? Idk how to spell it but I lost it mid hike (he chill tho so we good))

the tma brain rot is so fucking bad that i’m currently reading a book by someone and about something completely unrelated to anything rq or magnus related but the moment the book made it clear that it was set in britain and the narrator began directly addressing the reader i stopped being able to hear my inner voice and now i only hear jon archivist sims. for fucks sake

Me with the bear episode in woe.begone… I accidentally skipped it and realized like 5 eps later and had to go back to watch it. Same thing happened with multiple episodes of Magnus 😭

But mood, I try to keep up but I tend to zone out so the wiki is my LIFE BLOOD.

i really need to stop blacking out during important episodes of series. this has happened far too many times. i fully zoned out during one of the most important lore scenes in twin peaks and was confused for the entire rest of the show bc i thought they never explained it AND NOW I HAVE NO MEMORY OF ANYA OR HER EPISODE WTF 💔💔💔💔

No honestly that’s so real- I’m just a massive moth nerd and I’m projecting my adoration onto Basra ICL- but they’re SO PRETTY. Dude my math teacher complimented my moth pins (school makes us wear a lanyard and I decorated mine with entirely too many pins) and fr went “nvm” when I told them they were moths smh… she’s amazing tho!! And ykw if I do end up posting it I’ll tag you in it if you don’t mind?

It’s arguably even worse in current hs level academics. My school is encouraging people to use AI for our 4k word EE which - Mind you is a RESEARCH ESSAY- don’t even have clear rules for the use of AI defined; and I’ve been told to my FACE that it’d be idiotic to not use ai. When the essay I’m writing is literally about the ethical and social impacts that AI is having on our surroundings. People look at me like I’m insane for not wanting to use it when I learn. People don’t even use google anymore. Just AI. Immediately. And then ppl think it’s funny to tell me “well if you’re not gonna use it, I’ll just use double what I already do so you don’t make a difference!!!” When I tell them I don’t use AI for the concern I have about its environmental impacts. Like bro. The fucking GALL these people have.

It’s genuinely concerning how many people don’t even factcheck what ai tells them. I’ve seen people come up with IA experiments and research question USING AI. Even god damn TOK exhibitions I’ve seen written with ai and it’s like??? You’re supposed to show your understanding, if you’re not going to learn, WHY GO TO SCHOOL AND TAKE THIS SPECIFIC DIPLOMA PROGRAM???

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?
