there he is. that disappointment of a so-called big brother...sometimes, she found herself wondering where those days went; the days he cared. long gone now, just as her own. " iza-nii. " 

voice as light as chilly winds, approached izaya. even with that almost always blank face of hers, there's a hint of gloom to it; for once, her sister not at her side, where she should be. 

" ...mairu, " she muttered, " ...have you seen her? " typical, hadn't asked how he was doing; doesn't appear to be hurt, thus, she felt no need.

" ...! " despite her neutral face, kururi does let out a faint sound of surprise. mairu...always took this so excitedly, can't help but appreciate it — living up to her role. one would swat, shove, or possibly hit her away with such an intrusion; yet, this is her sister. hasn't done enough to prompt kururi to do any of those things...yet.

" ...why would i say it if i didn’t mean it...? " unlike a certain man they unfortunately know, kururi is sincere in those rarely spoken words.

just the first syllable caught the younger sister’s attention, and the full claim only brightens that smile on her face. ah, did she hear that right ?! her heart overflows with joy, and for the sake of that fateful coin toss does mairu overexaggerate her already extreme feelings. her arms squeeze kururi tightly as she brings her into a hug, uncaring of who was to hear her likely ear-piercing squeal.
