Education can be expensive, but everyone should have the ability to access it. So they can pursue a life, and career that fulfills them and/or meets their needs!
You can help a family struggling to evacuate Gaza, and obtain that education!
Meet Anas and Ahmed! @anasbasilgaza (Verified info in the post linked below)
They are relatives of Osama Basil, a web developer who is managing his own campaign to repair his web design business and establish a stable wifi connection to the besieged Gaza Strip.
He's also trying desperately to help his younger relatives escape Gaza and improve their lives.
Please share so more people can see their need, and the progress of their campaign!
Then if/when you've got some extra money, consider making a donation.
Every action no matter how small, Helps. It helps more than you may ever know.
Thank You.
Here's the direct link to the campaign.

Support My Family Journey to Safety and Peace
🚨Urgent Appeal 🚨
My name is Jaber Al-Haj. I am from Gaza, married to my wife, Menna, and we have a little son named Hashim, who is less than two years old. Like any Palestinian family, we dreamed of a simple and stable life. But the recent war turned our lives upside down. The sounds of explosions never left us, and fear has become part of our daily existence. My son Hashim suffers from health problems that urgently require treatment, but the war has destroyed everything, including the healthcare system, making access to necessary medical care nearly impossible. With each passing day, our suffering deepens, and the fear for Hashim’s health and future consumes me.
Tumblr media
Alongside my small family, I used to work with my brothers, Aboud and Bilal, on our joint project—a small lab for producing essential household cleaning products. We started this project with modest resources, dreaming that it would become a source of income to support us and provide job opportunities for our community. But the war left us with nothing. Our lab, which was once filled with life and hard work, was reduced to rubble under the bombardment. We lost our equipment, our livelihood, and with it, a part of our dreams for the future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even our home, our only refuge, did not escape the destruction. It was severely damaged and is now uninhabitable. We were forced to flee and live in a tent under harsh conditions unfit for human life. The cold, the heat, the lack of resources, and the absence of privacy have made life nearly unbearable. We try to cope, but every day brings new challenges and suffering.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today, what worries me the most is my son Hashim's condition. His health is deteriorating, and he desperately needs treatment abroad. However, under the circumstances we’re living in, I lack the means to secure his travel and medical expenses. As a father, there is nothing more heartbreaking than watching my child suffer while being unable to help him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This campaign is a lifeline for my family in our darkest hour. With your generosity, we can bring hope back into our lives and secure a better future for my son, Hashim. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a world of difference.

Thank you for standing with us and helping us through this difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude, Jaber AlHaj

A Plea for Hope: The Struggle for Survival of Ibrahim's Family
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #220 )✅️
✅️Vetted by @90-ghost
Tumblr media
I'm Ibrahim Almughanni. I once dreamed of a peaceful, prosperous future for my family, but those dreams were shattered by the unrelenting horrors of war.
I am married to Soha Fouad and I have 3 children :
Toleen, who is 9 years old
Wateen, who is 6
and Tayseer, who is just 4.
The Day Our Lives Shattered
I remember the day vividly—explosions began in the distance, growing into a deafening roar. Smoke and fear engulfed us as we watched our neighbors flee in terror. We grabbed our children and ran, pushing through a sea of panic until we could run no more.
Tumblr media
Finding Refuge Amid Desperation
We found temporary shelter in a classroom turned into a makeshift refuge. The walls were bare, the air thick with fear. Surrounded by other displaced families, we shared a profound sense of loss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Heavy Burden of Loss
I lost my home—my sanctuary—now reduced to rubble. My workshop, where I built my life as a blacksmith, was completely destroyed. I lost not only my tools and savings but also my livelihood. The deepest wound is the loss of hope: the hope that my children could thrive, free from fear.
Tumblr media
Daily Struggles for Survival
We are caught in a cycle of survival. Food is scarce, and basic necessities are out of reach. In our overcrowded shelter, we cling to each other for comfort. The worry and fear in my family’s eyes are constant reminders of our daily struggle.
Tumblr media
A Heartfelt Call for Help
We need your help to provide basic necessities and safety for our family. Every dollar you donate is a vital lifeline—a warm meal, a respite from hunger, a step towards rebuilding our lives.
Tumblr media
The Power of Your Support
My story is one of loss and survival, but also of hope. With your support, we can start rebuilding and find a way out of this darkness.

see i think saying "conservatives beliefs are like childrens beliefs" is less revealing about conservatives opinions, and more revealing about how you treat childrens opinions

I want to like those picky pads and pumice rocks with idk rubber in the holes? But I think about how it's all plastic shit that gets thrown away when you're picking at it and I get that it's an alternative to harmful skin picking or sensory stimming!
But why does the solution always have to involve creating and shoving more plastic onto the market?
Also plastic and pumice feel fucking nasty so lol thanks for creating fidget stims that still don't work for a lot of ND ppl 🙃

OMG. Somebody said it out loud.
Disney is absolutely not the only studio doing this though.
It seems to have become standard practice across movies and series everywhere.
Anything that doesn't do it is like a breath of sunlight and fresh air inside a dank musty cave.
It's part of the 'fix it in post-production' epidemic sweeping through the studios. Fix it in post is often used as a time/money-saving measure - and is absolutely part of the same mess that the WGA is fighting against currently.
Rather than fixing things on-set - audio, lighting, something in-frame that shouldn't be, etc. (which is all handled by unionized crew) - they leave it for the CG folks (not unionized) to edit later.
(on ridiculously tight schedules that leave them scrambling, cutting corners, and working inhumane hours)
See also: that part where scripts aren't finished, because the studio won't fully staff the writers room, and won't pay to have writers on-set for day-of-filming script questions and fixes (which could resolve issues such as 'what kind of lighting do we need here?')
Anyway, all this shit we, as audiences, keep complaining about - bad lighting, bad sound, wonky visual effects, over-usage of not-great CGI, stilted acting on green-screen sets, scripts that seem not-quite-finished, costumes that look like they're cheap and flimsy, terrible hair and makeup, films and series that aren't as polished as they could be...
Plus the complaints we have about streaming services and their shenanigans...
All of that is enmeshed in the extreme capitalism that has taken over everything, including entertainment, to the point that studios are abusing their workforce and churning out material that - at best just doesn't live up to its potential - at worst, is just unwatchable shit.

Hello, I am Osama Al-Anqar. My wife's name is Rana Al-Anqar. I have a little girl named Amal. My older brother's name is Mohammed. He was injured and had a meter of small intestine and a meter of large intestine removed. He now needs a joint transplant. My second brother, Mahmoud, was martyred in the Baptist Hospital massacre and left me with his wife and children, Razan and Mahmoud. Now I am responsible for them. My third brother, Ahmed, was injured and had his left leg amputated. He now needs a limb replacement. We lived in the Al-Shija'iyah neighborhood and we had a simple life, but the war destroyed everything. It destroyed our lives, homes, businesses, and cars. But I only need your support to save my family, treat my brothers, and live in peace. Your support, no matter what it is, will make a difference to us because we need money to provide food for the children. Save us.
