Ok, Jess and Rory living together. What do you imagine their daily routines to be like? How do you imagine them navigating living together and some of their unhealthy habits (like Jess staying up late or Rory's addiction to coffee). Do you have any specific cute ideas about this? Lay it all out

oh my god they definitely both stay up way too late. they barely sleep through the night actually, they just take naps throughout the day. one of them is passed out on the couch while the other is sitting in an armchair writing. there are always half-empty cups of cold coffee everywhere: on the tables, the mantelpiece, the nightstand, etcetera. there are rings in all the wood because they both constantly forget to use coasters. there are half-read books littered around the whole house with weird objects as bookmarks: the tv remote, a sock, half a granola bar, a pencil. they have so many books they can’t fit them on their shelves, so they’re in stacks on the floor in various places too. rory eats crap food and jess constantly forgets to eat at all. luke manages their meals lmao. they leave sticky notes around the house for each other bc they’re both so busy with meetings and have their own schedules, so they’ll find remember to feed the dog! on the medicine cabinet, and we’re out of milk! by the front door, and i love you :D on the headboard of their bed. there are kids’ toys everywhere (later years), there’s dishes in half the sink perpetually, they have those word magnets on the fridge and there’s been a really dirty joke stuck there for three months, they have this rug they always trip over because its floppy and they bitch about it but never get rid of it. im emotional.

Having gone through this several times in my own life, yes exactly

You know, watching 5x20 and seeing Rory having done all this research on Mitchum and her almost admiration for all his work, makes me wonder if this is, (along with the fact Mitchum doesn’t know how to give constructive feedback) why it hit her so hard what Mitchum says about her abilities as a journalist. Rory read up on him and from the way she’s talking to Logan about all these new facts, she clearly sees him as someone to aspire to in some degree, so to then have him tell her she doesn’t have it would really have crushed her, and as we see it does. Makes me sympathise with her slightly more then I had, and understand why it affected her so much. Although I still feel like Rory could have dealt with it all a bit better but that’s besides the point.

this has probably been done before but how about a plot where a fan meets a celeb and they take a selfie together. he posts it on instagram and realizes he doesn’t have her sn so he sets the description as ‘ft this pretty face’ and her friends freak out when they see the photo. mind you, she doesn’t have insta so her friends make her make an acc. she does and her friends tag her and he follows her.

they don’t communicate for a long while and then suddenly one day he’s got a free day and he’s going through his feed and he sees a photo of her. he likes it and she believes it was a mistake until he comments on the photo and they finally start to DM but.. he’s in a relationship with another celeb and she tells him that she’s not going to pursue any feelings because he’s taken and he’s all, ‘so you have feelings for me too? ;)’ and the angst and confusion and sneaking around dates once he tells her the relationship with his gf is for pr only.

Headcanon: Teenage Jess is a bit vain about his hair, and he never allowed Shane to touch it. He spends too much effort getting it to look Just So for her to mess it up.

Rory, on the other hand, is a different story. She can run her fingers through his hair any time she wants to, and even if she makes a mess of it, he doesn't even care. He'll catch sight of himself in the mirror and his hair is a disaster, but he just smirks at his reflection because it's a reminder that, "I was just making out with Rory Gilmore, and now everyone knows it."
