Self portrait for #Inkotber of these artful hands making beats on my Mpc for the prompt word #Patterns I know I know... I'M a day behind but I really wanted to take my time and get this down considering what I'd decided to draw. I was so excited when I saw the word patterns. I instantly thought about waves, rhythms, finger drumming, cadences, records spinning, breakers, taggers writing their names over and over, and song structures. You know... Hip-hop. I took a few pics of my hands while on my Mpc and started drawing through the night. I slept and as soon as I got back up; I dove right back into drawing while listening to Rakim's new book in his own voice. I drew this without rush or care to make deadlines. I wanted this to be special because my life has been a constant study of patterns via Hip-hop culture. I love hip-hop like no other.
