Day 31: Free day
When Danny transformed that day, he felt disoriented for some time. Looking at himself, he saw that he looked like an extremely cute black kitten with white paws and a patch of white fur at the tip of his tail.
Looking around, he found himself standing outside. The sun was shining on him and Danny felt comfortably warm. Though he saw that he was also standing besides a replica of Amity Park the size of his cat form.
Danny looked in awe at the replica. It had so many details!
The kitten purred and went on to explore the replica. Of course, he was intangible as to not destroy any part of it. It was so detailed that Danny could have sworn that there were actual people moving in it. Though that couldn't be true as it was just a replica. A very good one.
Pat. Pat. Pat.
The tiny paws of the kitten made a cute sound every time he took a step. Danny was having fun looking at all the details. Although it was fun, Danny still didn't know where he was or why he had transformed.
It took him until the sun was setting to notice it.
….
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
The booming sound revered throughout the town of Amity Park. The citizens had taken refuge in their houses, no car dared to move, and even the animals were silent.
The creature making that sound was huge. It towered over almost every building and was as tall as the tallest building of the town. Luckily for the town, the creature passed through everything solid even if it made a very loud sound for every step.
It would have been terrifying for everyone if the creature wasn’t a giant and cute kitten. The citizens of Amity Park were used to the weird cats fighting ghosts, but they would never have imagined that one of those cats could come kaiju sized.
That was the day the entire town was scared, but mostly confused, for a whole day before the giant kitten disappeared.
Theme: Kaiju

Day 30: Goodbye
Jazz had everything ready. Her suitcase was filled with her clothes, computer, Fenton anti-creep stick, a Fenton thermos, and many books. Jazz nodded in satisfaction that all her things for the trip to university were organized.
Jazz was preparing to leave her house for the first time. She had already said her goodbyes to her parents before they returned to the lab and now it only left one more goodbye.
“You are not making this easy” Jazz deadpanned to the fluffy and cute cat sitting on her bed.
“Meow!” Danny had a very mischievous smirk on his face. He was just glad that his form was extremely soft and fluffy. His fur was the color of pink and blue cotton candy and was as soft as silk.
Her little brother had transformed into a cat to try and use his cuteness as a way to convince her to stay home. She was not going to and she knew Danny would not really retain her here. Though the cuteness was hard to resist.
“Haa… why are you so fluffy?” Jazz sighed and hugged Danny’s fluffy form.
The cute and soft cat purred in her arms and that made Jazz unwilling to let him go.
Luckily for Jazz, there was a knock at her bedroom door.
“It’s us” Sam’s voice came from the door.
“Come in” Jazz said.
Danny’s friends entered her room after that. They were here to say their own goodbyes an to give their friend some company.
“Really Danny?” Sam raised an eyebrow.
“He looks like a toy” Tucker said.
“Is he trying to make you stay, Jazz?” Sam asked.
“… yes” Jazz was still hugging Danny.
“Meow, meow!” Danny was purring.
“And it's working” Tucker mumbled with a smirk. He knew his friend was taking advantage of his cuteness.
“He is just so fluffy!” Jazz couldn't help herself. Danny used one of her weaknesses very well.
“Nya!” Danny seemed proud of his fluffiness.
“Danny, Jazz has to go now” Sam reminded them both of the reality they were avoiding.
“Hiss” Danny didn't like that. He would miss Jazz so much!
“I'm not ready to say goodbye yet” Jazz said. Even without the fluff, Jazz would miss her little brother a lot.
“You don't have to if Danny goes with you” Tucker said.
“What are you saying, Tuck?” Sam looked at the technogeek in curiosity while Jazz and Danny were paying a lot of attention.
“I mean, Danny could fly back really fast depending on the cat form” Tucker said. He still remembered the day Danny got a form so fast that he broke the sound barrier. That was a wild day.
“Hmm… I don't know, what do you say Danny?” Jazz wanted to spend more time with her brother before leaving for college, but she would feel bad if Danny had to fly so much distance by himself.
“Meow, nya!” Danny purred. Flying was easy. He might be able to visit Jazz in the future if he knew where she was rooming.
“Alright then” Jazz nodded and hugged the cute cat even more.
“Meoeew!” Danny was happy. He could delay his goodbye to his sister for a few more hours.

Day 29: Fireworks
He couldn't believe he was reduced to his state. Hiding in a warehouse was not how the Box Ghost planned his taking over the world with his square-cardboard almighty power. But here he was, praying that the beast wouldn't find him tonight.
“Meow!” a happy and cute sound startled the Box Ghost.
The Box Ghost turned around and witnessed one of his newest fears slowly walking to him. The black cat let tiny and colorful explosions with every step it took and the fiery orange eyes were following his every move even if he was invisible.
“You! Get away from me you fiend!” the Box Ghost screamed.
“Me-meooow” the black cat sent shivers of fear through the Box Ghost’s core.
He had no choice now. He had to run away!
Danny saw how the Box Ghost flew through the wall and purred thinking about the fun he would soon have.
Danny was just about to go to sleep after a long day of school and ghost fights, when he saw the Box Ghost flying past his window while cackling about boxes. That brought a smile to Danny’s face.
The Box Ghost was one of the few ghosts that always made Danny happy to fight. It wasn't because it was easy, even if it was extremely easy, or because the Box Ghost was not really a danger to people. It was because of the boxes.
The cat part of Danny loved boxes. He loved to be inside them, bite them to nothingness, and the feeling of his claws tearing the cardboard apart was amazing. Danny loved playing with the boxes.
When he transformed, his joy was reflected into his form. At first, Danny thought that he was a normal black cat but, as soon as he took a step, he knew he wasn't normal. The colorful sparks that came out of him when he tapped the floor and when he flicked his tail too fast let Danny know that his new form was that of a cat made out of firework powder.
Danny had some fun stomping his cute paws on the floor and seeing the colorful sparkles, even his claws made pretty light shows when he lightly scratched the floor. After a few minutes of enjoying this distraction, Danny remembered that the Box Ghost was out there having fun with the boxes without Danny.
With the urgency of not being playing with the boxes, Danny flew towards the nearest warehouse in search of the ghost. The halfa noticed that as he flew, he left behind a trail of colorful sparkles. Danny would have been distracted again if it wasn't for the promise of boxes waiting for him.
When he found the Box Ghost, he was very happy to see him, and it seemed that the ghost was too as he immediately started a game of hide and seek. There were a lot of boxes around so maybe the ghost wanted to play inside the boxes again.
“Nya!” the happy sound of the cat marked the start of the game and of the Box Ghost’s terrifying night.

Day 28: Healing
This was the worst match up for him in a fight. The ghost was fast, aggressive, and stubborn, but the worst part was that it was a dog ghost, and Danny, in his cat form, was being chased around all of Amity Park.
At least the form he gained that day was that of a mix between a cat and a lizard. He was very agile and the scales gave him some kind of protection. The ghost dog was not able to bite him at all but Danny was getting tired.
After rounding on a corner with the ghost dog just about to get him, an ecto-shot landed on the ghost dog’s side, sending it stumbling over the street.
Before the ghost could recover, the energy beam of the thermos captured the ghost.
“You ok dude?” Tucker was examining Danny for any injury.
“Meow” Danny shook his head. Luckily, he was not hurt.
“Good, if there is not any other ghost around, let's go back to my place. We are in a sleepover after all” Sam said.
The three friends were spending the weekend at Sam's house. Beside doing homework, playing video games, and watching horror movies they took advantage of Sam’s parents being away for a rich people event to go out at night to hunt ghosts before going to sleep.
Besides the dog ghost, this has been a relatively calm night. The three teens were ready to go back and relax, but someone saw this downtime as the best opportunity for the hunt.
NYAAA!!
Danny screamed loudly. A powerful ecto-shot burned the whole length of his tail into ash.
“Danny!” Sam and Tucker exclaimed at seeing their friend hurt.
The mystery of their attacker was resolved just then.
“Ha ha! I finally got one of you! I Skulker, the greatest ghost hunter of the Ghost Zone had captured one of the annoying cats” Skulker was gloating from his perch on the roof of a building.
“Meeooooowwwwrrr” Danny was growling at the hunter.
“You, tiny reptile cat, will become part of my collection” Skulker pointed a gun at Danny.
“Hisss” Danny was not happy at all. Being shot on his tail hurt a lot.
Then, in the span of a few seconds, a new tail grew from the stump on his backside. Danny and his friends were surprised by this, though they were glad that the injury was not hurting anymore.
“Huh, I guess you can heal your tail like lizards do” Sam commented.
“Meow” Danny nodded with a serious face. He did not take his eyes away from Skulker.
“The cat heals. This hunt will be great!” Skulker sounded excited.
“You are going to kick his ass, aren't you?” Tucker said after noticing just how angry his friend was.
“Meow, meow” Danny nodded and crouched, ready to destroy Skulker’s dumb suit.
Skulker sensed something wasn't right and prepared his weapons. He had a feeling that this cat wasn't going to be easy to hunt.
“We’ll be behind you” Sam said and got her camera ready.
“Nya” Danny gave her a fanged smirk and jumped upwards, flying at high speeds towards the ghost hunter.
The halfa was going to tear apart Skulker’s mecha-suit piece by piece and then he would have some fun playing with the tiny blob that was Skulker’s true form.

Day 27: Zombie AU
Danny hissed at the cat in front of him. The teen was terrified and the aggressive cat before him was growling as if it was a savage animal.
Danny knew he shouldn't have tried to cheat on the C.A.T. Beyond the perfect pun, Danny was tired and all the ghost fights did not let him study for this important test. Who would have thought that doing that would lead to the destruction of everything he loves and subsequently the world?
If it wasn't for Clockwork explaining, Danny would have never known that the huge cat the size of a truck with rotting flesh and a rabid look on its eyes was himself from a bad future. It seemed that after losing his purpose, Danny lost his mind and got stuck in a form of malice.
The evil cat was like some kind of zombie and had infected people and animals alike and transformed those people into zombies as well, which started the zombie apocalypse that the future world was suffering from.
Because the Ghost Zone was strange, some portals could displace ghosts or people through time and, apparently, the corrupted future self of Danny ended up in his time.
Now, the halfa had to fight his own corrupted older self and avoid the end of the world. This was not going to be easy with his current form. Danny had transformed into a cat made of shadow and smoke. He would be immune to the zombie infection but fighting the zombie cat will be hard. Shadow and smoke were not good for physical attacks after all.
“Groooww” the zombie cat was not amused at seeing his younger self and attacked with no mercy in its eyes.
“Nya!” Danny was startled but fought anyway.
As Danny was smaller, he could easily dodge the zombie cat extremely powerful swipes but, as he was made of shadow and smoke, he couldn't land a hit on the strong zombie. They fought like this for an hour with none of them landing a hit on the other. Though Danny seemed to be the only one getting more and more tired.
But as he couldn't give up and let the corrupted cat get his way, Danny continued.
It seemed that the zombie also got tired of the boring fight and did something Danny would never forget.
The zombie yowled.
It was a horrible sound, it resembled the screams of hundreds of cats in pain and the raw screams of terror from humans. Danny saw the sound waves glow with power before traveling and impacting buildings and anything in their reach. Danny saw the buildings crumble and anything not anchored to the floor being blown away.
As Danny’s form was not solid, it didn't affect him as much. It only hurt his ears.
Danny knew that zombies were not able to scream like that, so that meant that the yowl was not a power from the zombie form but from future Danny. That meant that present Danny could theoretically learn it.
Not knowing how else to defeat this opponent, Danny tried his best to make the yowl. He first screamed at the zombie. Nothing happened. Then Danny directed some power to his throat before yelling. It only made him louder and no sound waves came forth to destroy anything. Then Danny put almost all his power into the yowl and screamed.
The sound waves appearing came as a surprise for both present and future Danny.
Unlike the pain and terror from the zombie, Danny’s yowl came with pain, desperation and somehow, hope.
The yowl impacted against the zombie cat and threw him into a building. It also destroyed the building on top of the zombie.
Danny was so tired that he transformed back into his human form. He saw the zombie cat trying to get out of the destruction zone and Danny, even if he was too tired to fight, used the thermos he had on him to trap that version of his future.
With the threat erased, Danny sat on the floor. He hoped Clockwork would help him get this time displaced cat in his own timeline.

Day 26: Shoes
He was late. Again.
Danny forgot to set his alarm last night so now he was rushing through his daily routine and tried to wake himself up at the same time. The halfa did not even open his eyes while changing clothes and brushing his teeth, though he did open them to glare at the toast laying innocently in a plate on the kitchen table.
Danny didn't trust toast. Those things could stay still for a long time and attack at any moment.
The halfa ignored the toast, took his backpack from the couch, and ran through his door. He was so late that there was no time to open the door like a normal person. It was a good thing that his parents were busy in the lab.
Because he knew he would be even more late if he ran to school normally, Danny hid in the alleyway beside his house and transformed. He barely paid attention to his new form he gained. At least he looked like a normal gray cat, except for the eye on the tip of his tail. It was weird being able to see behind him but Danny didn't think much about it.
He was late! He had to run now!
Danny used the convenience of his powers to reach his school the fastest way possible. He flew and went through anything in his path and, in a few minutes, he reached Caper High. The ghost cat passed into the walls of the school and stopped inside the bathroom. He transformed back into his human form and ran towards his classroom.
“Sorry I'm late Mr. Lancer” Danny said as soon as he opened the door.
“Just two minutes today. Very well Mr. Fenton, I won’t mark you tardily, but next time please don’t forget to put on your shoes” Mr. Lancer pointed at Danny’s feet.
Danny looked down and saw that in his hurry he had forgotten to put on his socks and shoes. He wasn't really bothered about it. It must be a side effect of going around barefoot every time he was a cat.
“Sure thing Mr. Lancer” Danny nodded and hurried to his seat.
“I have an extra pair of boots if you want” Sam whispered her offer. It was a good thing that they shared shoe size.
“Thanks Sam” Danny nodded. It would be good to not be shoeless inside school.

Day 25: Games
They did it. They finally reached their destination.
Danny, Sam and Tucker entered the cave where the entrance to the hidden place in which the item they needed was located. They had fought against a lot of enemies, resolved many puzzles, and went through many difficult challenges to reach this place. ‘The Temple of Despair’.
In that place, they would obtain the legendary armor, sword, and energy gun that they needed to beat the game.
The three teens were playing their favorite game ‘Doomed’.
“Dibs on the gun!” Tucker said. His character was one that used futuristic energy guns to defeat his enemies from a safe distance. Though the guns were not that different from the ecto-guns they used to fight ghosts.
“As long as I get the sword, I don't care” Sam’s avatar was huge and used black armor. She was one of the best players in the world even if she did not participate in any competition. The goth wanted the sword mostly because of the unique effect of the shadow aura that it would gave her.
“Nya!” Danny agreed to take the armor.
The halfa had discovered that he could possess his own computer and play the game from inside. Of course, only in his ghost cat form. It also didn't matter that his character was humanoid, as soon as he entered the game as a cat, his avatar became that of the cat form he obtained that day.
Danny was a white cat with his tail and paws fading into pixels. Very fitting to use inside the game.
“Let’s go. Remember to look out for traps” Sam led them into the temple.
“Sure. Danny, you lets us know when enemies are coming” Tucker had an ability to detect and disarm traps.
“Meow!” Danny’s ability was useful to know when strong enemies were around them. It didn't work against weak enemies though.
Little by little, the party of three conquered the ‘Temple of Despair’. Many enemies were slayed, lots of treasure chests were opened, and many traps were disabled by Tucker, making their journey even faster.
After some time, they reached the last room of the temple. There, the boss of the ‘Temple of Despair’ was waiting for them. It looked like an amalgam of insects, snakes and crows. It looked very scary but the teens thought that it wouldn’t look out of place in the Ghost Zone.
Once they defeat the boss, they would obtain the legendary items they came for.
“Ok, you both know the plan, right?” Sam said. Her friends tended to get distracted and forget the plan sometimes.
“Yes, yes. You tank. I deal damage and heal a little while Danny makes the most damage” Tucker nodded. They had done this strategy a lot of times already.
“Yes, so don’t glitch the game again Danny. I don’t want to go through this dungeon again” Sam warned the cute white cat next to her.
“Meeeow” Danny nodded, understanding what she meant.
The halfa had glitched the game many times already because he used his ghost powers inside the game and that made the digital world do strange things. Things like making the boss intangible and unbeatable. That was a hard fight for everyone involved and they had to glitch the game even more to defeat that boss.
Thanks to the strategy and Danny controlling his instincts about using his powers, they defeated the boss and gained the legendary items.
Sam looked even more powerful and goth-like with the dark aura surrounding her avatar’s body. Tucker was quite happy with his new gun as it shoots energy beams extremely fast. Danny put on the armor but, because his form was not part of the game, it didn't appear on him. Though Danny knew his normal avatar would have the armor anyway.
The special feature about the armor was that it gave him a new ability to run at great speeds. Danny loved running super fast around his friends.

Day 24: Electricity
Ok, Danny already knew the transformation forced a random cat shaped form into him and that the cats could be anything. He had gotten shapes from ghosts to living cats, and even felines that were not cats but still cat-like. Though even with all the randomness of his new reality Danny never expected this change at all.
“Raikou?” Danny looked surprised. The sound he just made was not a meow, growl, hiss, or grumbling that he had been doing in his ghost cat form. He said a name as if it was a language.
He was…
“Dude, you are a pokemon!?” Tucker looked as surprised as Danny.
“Rai kou” Danny nodded.
“Uh… which pokemon is he anyway?” Sam asked. She knew of pokemon but only remembered the ones she liked the most. Dark and grass types were her favorites.
“He is a legendary pokemon, an electric type” Tucker said while hugging his PDA to himself. He didn't want Danny to accidentally destroy his delicate technology.
“So, that means he can shoot lightning at that thing?” Sam said while pointing at the ghosts that had disturbed their night.
The ghost was a… balloon was the best way to describe it.
It was spherical with many eyes all around it blinking and seeing every direction, and mouths with sharp teeth appearing and disappearing from time to time. It was unsettling to look at and if one stared for too long it was a guaranteed way to obtain a headache.
“It can't hurt to try” Tucker said.
“Rai” Danny nodded.
Feeling inside himself, Danny noticed an energy of seemingly infinite power welling in him. Willing the energy to the surface, the halfa let it out with a roar and directed it at the balloon ghost. Green lighting came out of his own body, most likely because he was a ghost. And Danny did everything he could not to flinch.
The green electricity reminded him of his own painful accident and the half ghost had gained a respectful fear towards anything that could inflict that much electric damage onto anyone. He was also wary of any machine that could open portals, at least the only one he knew about was the one in his basement.
When the green lighting hit the eldritch balloon, all the mouths opened up and screamed in pain. It was a horrifying sound, though they did not pay attention to the sound when the sight of the ghost flying around erratically, as if it was a balloon losing air, was a lot more distracting. And comical. The three teens could not help but laugh at the strange reaction of the ghost.
Not wanting to shoot a lot more electricity, Danny offered a ride to his friends to get them to the ghost and capture it.
“We are gonna ride in a pokemon!” Tucker looked ecstatic.
“This will be fun” Sam grinned.
That night in the streets of Amity Park, a legendary electric type pokemon and two teens riding on his back continued to hunt ghosts.

Day 23: Reflection
This was one of the weirdest forms he had ever gotten. Danny looked at his own reflection, well what one could call the reflection of a cat made of mirrors. Sometimes, he could see his own silhouette, and other times he stared at the infinite loop of reflection that happens when a mirror is reflected in another mirror.
That afternoon, Danny had transformed when he felt his ghost sense go off but stopped himself at seeing his reflection. The halfa and his friends were currently in Sam’s bedroom and Danny had been completely still staring at himself in the gothic mirror for a minute.
“You look so weird dude. A good weird” Tucker said.
“And a little surreal” Sam grinned. That form was awesome in her opinion. It looked very mystic.
“Uh… weren't you going to do something about that?” Tucker asked while pointing at the window. They could see a huge glowing green and purple moth-like ghost floating over the town. It didn't seem to be causing any damage, but Danny didn't want it to be captured and experimented on by the ghost hunters.
“Nya!” Danny nodded and jumped outside.
Just then, something unexpected but quite useful happened. When the last rays of the setting sun shined over Danny’s mirror cat form, the light reflected all over his body converting Danny into the brightest cat shaped light in the sky. The moth ghost saw the very bright light and as any moth would do, flew towards him.
As soon as the moth came close enough, Sam captured the ghost in the thermos., It was very convenient that the moth was not an aggressive ghost.
When Danny returned to Sam’s room, Tucker got an idea.
“What would happen if we pointed a laser pointer at you in that form?”
Danny, who was about to transform into a human, got curious about that too.
“Meow?” Danny nodded to let Tucker know to proceed. He wanted to see what would happen.
It was a mistake.
The light of the laser pointer reflected as in a normal mirror, but Danny saw the tiny red dot and couldn’t resist the instinct to chase it. That afternoon, the two human teens laughed until late while playing with the mirror cat and laser light.

Day 22: Song llyric
On a Saturday afternoon, the sun was shining upon the Amity Park Park. Yes they know it is an awful name but it's their park. It was a beautiful day, perfect to hang out outside with friends and family. It would have been the perfect day to relax, if it wasn't for the giant crab ghost destroying everything on sight.
The ghost wasn't aware that it was destroying buildings and trees alike. It wasn't smart enough to comprehend that the small creatures around it were alive and the crab wasn't. This was the case for most animal ghosts, not that it made Danny’s life easier.
Danny, the cat half ghost staring at the giant crab, groaned in annoyance. His current form was that of an orange kitten with dark brown marks moving alongside his body like a cuttlefish mating display. Besides his weird fur and green eyes without pupils, Danny was extremely adorable. His fur and body were shaped in a literal ball of fluff. He was very round and even his eyes were huge and adorable.
That wouldn’t help to fight the ghost but Danny had no choice in the matter.
“Don't you have enough pictures already?” Sam asked the techno-geek of the group.
“Just a few more and a video going around and I'll finish” Tucker said. This was one of the cutest forms Danny had ever taken and Tucker was sure that it would become extremely popular on the internet.
Danny sighed and stood still until Tucker was done. It was a good thing that the filming teen only took some seconds to do it as the ghost crab was getting closer to them.
“I'm done!” Tucker exclaimed cheerfully.
“Nya!” Danny made a cute sound that Sam made sure to capture in her phone.
Now that he didn't have to pose for the videos Tucker makes, Danny ran towards the crab ghost. It didn't take long for the halfa to defeat the ghost using laser eyes and super powerful kitty smashes with his fluffy paws. At the end, the ghost crab was turned over and seemed unable to put itself back upright, Sam took the opportunity and capture the ghost in the Fenton Thermos before anything else could happen.
“Nya nya!” Danny felt very proud of himself.
He was about to turn back into his human form, when he heard a dreaded sound.
“Oh dios mio! It’s the cute kitty!”
Paulina and Star appeared from behind the corner and started to gush about the cute kitten that defeated the ghost. Both girls were fans of the cats in the videos that kept the town safe from ghosts. Though they became fanatics when the cats were cute and had done a lot to try and lure one of them to be their pet. Not that it worked, but the girls were persistent.
Of course, they didn't know all those cats were Danny. The halfa would have accepted to visit if it wasn't for their talks about putting the cute kittens in pink dresses. Danny was not going to be dressed up as a doll no matter what.
As he didn’t want them to know it was him, Danny ran away still in his cute cat form.
“The kitty is getting away” Star pointed at the escaping cat with a sad pout on her face.
“After him!” Paulina ordered. She was going to get one of those cats one day. She was not going to give up on getting one of the cutest kittens ever.
“Mamma mia” Tucker watched dreamily. Danny was so lucky to be chased by pretty girls.
“Here we go again” Sam mumbled, knowing that Danny would hide somewhere in her house.
The popular girls never looked there.

Day 21: Funeral
The sun had just broken above the horizon and illuminated the odd group standing together in a circle. They were all wearing black mourning clothes while staring at the body of the deceased.
Bertha, Tucker’s fifth PDA.
“Sob… we’ll miss you Bertha. You were an important member of our team” Tucker was sobbing while tears ran down his face.
Danny, Sam, Jazz, and Dani were all standing respectfully and nodding at Tucker’s words. Bertha had helped a lot in hacking Skulker’s suit, making sure Technus wouldn't be able to access the internet, and added in the accidental cyber terrorism against the GIW.
The fact that it took an ecto-ray directly to the battery after everything that they have done speaks highly of Bertha and how long it survived in a town brimming with ghost attacks.
“Bye Bertha” Dani laid a dandelion flower on the PDA.
“Please don't become a ghost” Danny laid Bertha’s charger next to it.
Sam then recited a poem about the death of electronic devices that might have a soul. Tucker almost starts to cry again.
“Goodbye Bertha. May your parts become bits of something as useful as you were” Jazz said before respectfully putting the PDA in a bag and letting it down on the recycling bin at the edge of the city.
“That was beautiful” Tucker said. There were less tears in his face now.
“Yea” Danny nodded, “do you want to play video games to forget the pain?”
“Obviously” Tucker nodded.
“I want to play doomed!” Dani exclaimed. It wasn't often that she could play her favorite game while traveling around the world.
While the two halfas and Tucker were making their way towards Tucker’s house, Jazz and Sam were looking at their backs.
“You are buying him another PDA, right?” Jazz guessed correctly.
“Yea, I'll just give it to him in a week” Sam said. It was the least she could do after they decided to put the PDA in the recycling bin and not bury it. Apparently, they did listen to her ramblings about contamination.
“Good. He needs this time to grieve” Jazz approved of Sam’s decision.
With nothing else to do, the two girls followed the rest. There were video games to be won and teens to comfort.

Day 20: Pitch AU
One of the weird things that came up after the accident, besides the random cat forms, was the psychic connection that Sam and Danny now shared. Knowing where the other was all the time was kind of useful in patrol, but it was a distraction in their everyday lives.
The other annoying stuff was the emotional link, which could make your day better or worse depending in the mood of the other, and the sharing of thoughts. The last one was at least useful when Danny was a cat and unable to speak in human language.
All in all, even with the advantages and disadvantages of the psychic link, Tucker felt a little left out and some jealousy at their connection. He was the one that knew Danny the longest. He also wanted to have a deep connection to his best friend.
“Meow, nya, nya. Mrr?”
“I don't know Danny” Sam grumbled. There were dark eye bags under her eyes and Tucker was not sure if they were made with makeup or not.
Danny’s form was now that of a black cat with some feathers and bird feet, he looked like a mix between a cat and an owl, especially because of the big green eyes. Sam liked this form and gave Danny a ride on her shoulder. She thought that this form was very goth-like and loved the aesthetics.
They were currently walking through the streets of Amity Park in search of any elusive ghost that wanted to cause chaos.
“What did he ask?” Tucker hated being left out.
“Whether if Mr. Lancer would really give us a novel to read in less than a week” Sam said.
“That would suck” Tucker groaned. They were too busy with ghost hunting to read something too long.
“Meoow” Danny nodded.
“What did he say?” Tucker asked.
“He agreed” Sam deadpanned.
They walked in silence for some minutes before Tucker brought up what had been bothering him for a while.
“Haa… it must be nice to have that link between you two” Tucker sighed.
“What are you talking about?” Sam frowned in confusion. What was so nice about this?
“I mean, you can understand Danny whenever he speaks and don't lose him when he goes into tiny places we can't follow” Tucker pointed out the advantages of the connection.
“Yes, I understand him. But I became his translator for every little meow he says. And the fact that I know where he is is not as useful as you think” Sam grumbled.
“How so?” Tucker asked. Wasn't the psych link a great power to share?
“Let’s just say that if you ever want a full night’s sleep, it's impossible with a link to a cat that goes out at four in the morning for an hour. And not even to hunt ghosts! He just wanders around doing whatever cats do” Sam was annoyed when her nights were interrupted. Especially if it was a school night.
“... meow” Danny’s soft meow did not need a translation.
“It’s fine. Just buy me more coffee and we are even” Sam said.
“Hiss!” Danny looked scared and jumped to Tucker’s shoulder. This time, Tucker did not need a translation either.
“Yea Sam. You are rich! What kind of overpriced coffee would Danny have to buy for you anyway?” the boys had seen Sam’s coffee machine. They’ve never imagine that coffee needed so much technology to be good.
“The best one, maybe that will teach him to not wake me up at four in the morning next time” Sam was grumpy. The lack of sleep was affecting her.
“Dude, next time just go to my house. We can play all the video games we want” Tucker said while petting Danny.
“Nya!” Danny nodded and purred while rubbing his cheek with Tucker’s. Playing video games would be better than the silent wandering he did almost every night, as part of the cat instincts, to make sure his territory was safe.

Day 19: Iron
It was another night of ghost hunting and Danny sighed at his current form. He was a tiny kitten and looked absolutely adorable, though his entire body was made of metal so he might be able to resist some hits.
“I will call the next video ‘The Iron Kitten’” Tucker smirked while holding his video camera.
“MeeEeooOowwW” the sound coming from Danny was high pitched and unsettling. The metal that made his body was not good at making cute sounds. Even if it sounded normal for him, he saw Sam and Tucker covering their ears in pain.
“Please don’t speak in that form” Sam grumbled. That was a horrible sound.
“It could work as a sound attack” Tucker tried to point out something positive about it.
Danny sighed again and turned his attention back towards the ghost that was having fun cutting cars in half.
It was a knight ghost with a huge ax as a weapon. The ax was twice the size of the ghost and looked very intimidating, though Danny had no idea why it was cutting cars in half.
Ready to make this ghost stop so he could go to sleep, Danny approached the knight ghost and growled. The metal made the grow sound more menacing than if he were made of flesh or ectoplasm.
The knight ghost turned to the source of the sound, only to laugh at the tiny and adorable kitten growling at him.
“Aww, you are an adorable little guy!” the knight was very amused.
“Hisss” Danny was not amused.
“This is fun and all, but I must continue to slay the iron beasts” the knight ignored Danny and turned around to keep destroying cars.
Danny growled again and attacked the knight with a headbutt to the back. The knight was sent flying some meters before he stopped and turned towards Danny.
“Alright, I was going to leave you alone because you are cute. But it's over now for you tiny iron beast!” the knight then attacked Danny with his ax.
The ghost knight was surprisingly fast and Danny had no time to dodge or turn intangible. The halfa hoped that his new form would be able to resist at least some of the damage. Danny closed his eyes and braced himself for the hit.
THUNK!
The sound of metal hitting metal could be heard on the abandoned street.
Danny opened his eyes at not feeling any kind of pain. When he did, he saw that the ghost knight was looking incredulous at him and at his ax. Danny looked at the ax and noticed that it had a kitty sized dent on the place where it hit him.
That made Danny realize that this form was extremely defensive.
Danny grinned and the ghost knight took one step back.
Danny got ready to ram the ghost knight again and the knight found himself running away from the adorable kitten. Who knew there was such an opponent here. He had found the boss of the iron beasts and he was not strong enough to face it. It was better to retreat and try another day.
Of course, Danny would not let the ghost escape to cause chaos in another part of town.
“Huh. Danny became an unmovable object” Sam mumbled.
“That it’s so going into the video” Tucker was chuckling at the comedic sight of the knight running away from something so adorable.

Day 18: Revenge
There was a frown in the face of the halfa while he looked at his target. Danny was in the middle of a forest in human form, his hands were holding a thermos filled to the brim with ghosts and, just a few meters from him, there was a white building that seemed very out of place in this wild forest.
A week ago, some yetis from the Far Frozen had come to him asking for his aid. The Far Frozen were one of the few ghost tribes that were friendly towards him, maybe because the form he had when he met them was that of a cat made of ice. Because Danny cared a lot about the people and ghosts he considers friends, he agreed to help.
When Danny reached the Far Frozen, in the form of a green cat with an aurora borealis as a tail, he found not only the yetis but also Pandora, Skulker, Ember, Poindexter, Johnny and Kitty. Danny didn’t know why all the other ghosts were there, though he didn’t mind it and waited to find out what they needed him for.
The information they got from Poindexter made everyone angry. The sepia ghost had witnessed some weak ghosts being captured by the government ghost hunters, and got extremely worried after overhearing what the agents planned to do with the ghosts captured. Besides, the agents also bragged that they had done even worse experiment in other ghosts but they faded before they could get the information they needed to destroy them
All the ghosts in the meeting wanted to storm out to the GIW base and destroy everything in revenge. Danny agreed but knew that there was a high chance that many ghosts would be hurt in their charge because they might have ecto-scanners that would warn them of the incoming attack.
Danny didn’t want any of his friends to be hurt, and luckily, he was able to calm them down before they stormed out of the meeting. He told them of a way he could get them close enough that the scanners would be useless and their surprise attack and rescue would be successful.
That's why Danny was currently in his human form just beside the GIW base with all his allies in the thermos. The scanners would not be able to detect him in human form and the thermos made it impossible for the scanners to be aware of the ghosts inside.
Seeing that it was time, Danny let the ghosts out. There were many warriors from the Far Frozen, Pandora had sent a hundred of her own warriors, Skulker, Ember, Johnny and Kitty had joined in the attack force as well. Poindexter was not good at fighting so he stayed behind to help in healing anyone they rescued in their attack.
Before attacking, Danny transformed into his ghost form. Sometimes, his random cat forms were in tune with his needs and feelings. Danny needed a lot of strength to endure the painful weapons the GIW used, and he was angry. Very angry.
The form he got made even his allies take a second look and his frenemies were glad that they never had to fight against that particular form.
From the trees, a giant feline appeared. Its size towered over the trees and its three skeletal heads, with dark holes as eyes, were filled with sharp fangs. Its body was covered in rotting flesh and one could easily see some parts with bones sticking out. The huge form looked like an undead cat cerberus coming from the underground itself to drag the sinners back.
“ROOAAARRR!” a head roared in challenge to the ghost hunters in the building.
“NYA!” another head wanted to have fun with the agents. It was a very sadistic head.
“HISSS!” the last head promised pain to all their enemies.
After the three war cries that sounded at the same time were done, Danny charged with all the other ghosts following behind him.
It was time for revenge.

Day 17: Equilibrium
It was instinct at this point. Just the natural way a cat has to avoid land predators, that is, to climb up and not go down until the predator leaves. Unfortunately, Danny was not a cat all the time and that instinct might have put him in an awkward situation.
“Get down here, Fenturd!” Dash yelled from the floor.
“No thanks, I’m good” Danny called from his place in the highest point of the power pole.
The halfa had seen Dash running at him when he was returning home after school, and he panicked. Now Danny was high up in the power pole, with some birds as company, while Dash circled around the pole as if he were a dog. Not like Danny had anything against dogs, puppies were cute, but he was part ghost cat now and he preferred to avoid the unfriendly dogs.
“You are not going to get away, Fenton! I’m going to wait here until you do!” He even barked like a dog.
Danny wondered if Dash was really going to wait all afternoon for him to climb down. Though he did not ask that out loud. Dash could take it as a challenge and wait there all night if he must.
“You have to come down some day!” Dash was really not giving up.
Danny sighed and looked around, he was too far away from any building to make it believable that he could jump that far as a normal human, and the only things around were the pole and the power lines connecting it to the other poles and buildings.
Then Danny got an idea. Why couldn't he just walk on the power lines? The birds around him were doing just fine sitting on them.
Not having anything else to do, Danny went to a power line and started to walk on it as if it was a tightrope. It was easier than expected and he kept going after reaching the other pole.
“What the hell, Fenton?!” Dash had followed him in shock. He had never seen the nerd have such good equilibrium before. He thought he was a klutz.
Danny looked down at Dash and made an annoyed face. This guy was even more stubborn than dogs. Dash didn't know what to do at seeing the nerd looking down on him as if he were a proud cat.
“I'm going home. Bye Dash” Danny waved and continued to make his way home by walking on the power lines, leaving a confused blond teen behind.

Day 16: Glowing veins
This time, it was not Jack Fenton’s fault but Maddie’s. She had not labeled the bottle with their new invention properly and it led to that situation. The liquid they invented was an irresistible bait for ghosts and would not let them turn invisible for two hours. That would make hunting them easier.
Of course, she forgot to store it in the lab fridge, put a label on it, or even put it in a bottle that would make it obvious that it was not something to drink. So the glowing green liquid was left on the transparent water plastic bottle, looking identical to the normal water bottles with ecto-contaminated water.
And because Danny’s bad luck shows up when he least expects it, it was no wonder the halfa grabbed the wrong bottle of water and drank all of it in a minute before going to school.
Now, Danny’s veins were glowing bright green.
“This is bad” Danny looked at his arms with a frown. As soon as he noticed his arms glowing, he grabbed his best friends and passed them into an abandoned classroom to hide from curious eyes.
“At least it doesn't hurt?” Tucker tried to cheer his friend up.
“Yes, but I can't even go invisible. How am I going to hide this from everyone?” Danny knew that anyone sane would find it weird to see glowing veins in a teen.
“You could transform into your other form and see if it goes away” Sam suggested. They really didn't have any other good ideas.
“Let’s see if this works” Danny said before transforming.
“Ugh! Eww!” Tucker turned away at seeing the new cat form.
“It didn't work. Turn back, turn back!” even Sam had an expression of disgust on her face.
“Meow?” Danny leaned his head to one side in curiosity. Was his form really that disgusting?
“Ugh, here” Sam put her hand mirror, for goth makeup emergencies, on the floor to let Danny see himself.
“Hiss!” Danny now knew why his friends were disgusted.
This form had all his body invisible except for one part, the circulatory system. Danny could see every vein, artery, and capillaries of a cat’s circulatory system glowing bright green. There was even an unbeating heart in his chest.
Danny changed back into his human form right away. His veins were still glowing but it didn't look as disgustingly terrifying as in his cat form.
“Uh… would makeup cover the glow?” Danny asked, trying to get another solution to his glowing problem.
“Probably, though I think body paint would be better” Sam did not have that much makeup on her bag to cover all of Danny’s skin.
“Please tell me you have body paint” Danny looked at Sam with a pleading face.
“I do, but it's black and purple” Sam said. She was planning on joining a protest in the afternoon in favor of protecting the rare black and purple flower that only existed naturally in a forest. It seems that she would have to come up with another way to gain attention.
“We can say Danny lost a bet. No one would question it” Tucker came up with an excuse.
“Yeah, let’s do that” Danny nodded before sighing. They really did not have another option, though this day school was going to suck.

Day 15: Field trip
The bus full of teenagers reached its destination and released the young people plus a teacher from its insides. The crowd of teens, guided by the teacher, walked with little motivation towards the huge building in which they would learn more about the wonders of space with some physics mixed in it.
Well, one teen was not bored at all.
“Oh man! I can't wait to see the planet's exhibition. I heard they will tell us about the winds on Jupiter” Danny was so excited that he was practically vibrating.
“Danny dude, if you hadn't rambled about this exact topic three times already, I would be impressed by the super destructive winds” Tucker said before yawning.
They had stayed up until very late last night because the Box Ghost decided to be his annoying self and slip away every time he saw Danny incoming. Of course, anyone would run away if they saw a lion skeleton on fire running at them. The halfa was disappointed that there were no fun boxes to play with.
“Heh. Sorry, I just want to know if they will mention that sharks, as a species, are older than Saturn’s rings” Danny tried to be less excited but was unsuccessful.
“That makes sharks sound even cooler” Sam mumbled before taking a sip from her black thermos filled with coffee.
“Sharks are cool and smooth” Tucker nodded.
“Sharks are not smooth Tuck” Sam groaned but let it go. She didn't have the energy to start their usual debates over useless things.
“Do you think there could be alien sharks in Europa?” Danny speculated.
“Like, the continent?” Tucker was not really awake enough to follow Danny’s usual space rambles.
“The ice moon Tuck” Sam remained him after sipping on her coffee.
“Hmm? Oh yea! Totally, alien smooth sharks” Tucker nodded.
“That would be so cool” Danny's excitement only grew at that statement.
The halfa was thinking if he could take a little trip using the Infi-map to see if there are smooth alien sharks in Europa. He was getting so excited about it that he was really starting to vibrate now.
“Danny you are purring again” Sam mumbled.
“Can't help it” Danny did not even try to stop it.
“Good thing I brought this thing with me” Tucker then put out from his backpack a strange gadget that looked like a pair of homemade speakers. The gadget did nothing at all, but they pretended to prank Danny to explain the sound of purring coming from him from time to time.
A few minutes later, the class started their field trip to the observatory, purring halfa included.
