My name is Tyler, I’m twenty eight and I live in rural Ohio. I’m a transgender female striving to be my most authentic self. Can you help bring me to life? Unfortunately dysphoria is a big proponent of my life, and I often struggle with my passibility in social settings. A big component of my transition is FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery). I want to be seen and respected as a cisgender female: free from stigmas or any physical aggression for being transgender. These surgeries help free me from any social discrepancies. Within the four years of my transition I have learned a lot about myself and have had plenty of humbling moments. I fought to get to this point and being able to finally be myself is such a reward. If I had the financial means to pay for my surgery, I would. Unfortunately, I do not have the financial ability to do so. I don’t have a big network of support either. I’m making this campaign in hopes of reaching enough people that are willing to help me achieve this life long goal and give me the chance to live as the woman I’m meant to be. The recommended work will cost $40,000 to complete. That’s just not something I’ll ever be able to swing on my own. Every contribution of any amount gets me closer to that goal. Every time I mention FFS, I get a pretty predictable stream of “you’re already beautiful, you don’t need it” sort of comments. I know they’re well intended, but they’re upsetting. The truth is that it’s not a whole lot different than telling a transgender person, “you don’t need to transition, you’re already beautiful.” It’s completely dismissive (intentionally or otherwise) of that person’s desire to be themselves. I just want to feel like I can relax and look like the woman I see in my mind’s eye.  It would be great if I could do that without being made to feel like I’m crazy for it. Meet Mimosa. She’s my therapy puppy that I’ve had a total of five days. I was raped three months ago, and upon finally getting the funds to pay for a therapy puppy to train to alleviate my PTSD, the place I got her from didn’t tell me she was sick. The following day after picking her up, she fell ill with pneumonia. The vet bill is now up to $7,200, and the shop is refusing to pay. My friend has started a gofundme page in her honor, and literally every penny counts. I don’t know if I can handle the trauma of losing her. If you can’t donate anything, please please share.
