Life Changes

So it’s been a while… 

To say that I’ve been busy is a massive understatement. A lot has changed in my life in the past year, and honestly, despite the insanity of it all, it’s been a very positive change.

Most of you know that I have suffered multiple burnouts over the past few years, prompting me to go into therapy. I discovered a lot about myself, learned to accept my traumas and the change that came with them. I also learned to love myself and how to unlearn many unhealthy thought patterns that had been drilled into me through my upbringing (mostly my people pleasing tendencies). 

Over the past year and a half, through the guidance of my therapist, I left my 12 year career as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. I also chose to walk away from a 15 year marriage. Needless to say, communication between partners is a must, and both myself and my ex-husband are guilty of not doing so properly. The relationship was no longer healthy for either of us, and for the sake of the children, I chose to leave. 

Where am I now?

I’m currently working as a Maid and living with my mother and sister. My children stay with me on a week on/week off basis and the separation details are still on going. I’m currently dating a really REALLY awesome guy, and I’ve honestly never been happier! My anxiety is almost non-existent and I’ve been able to cut my antidepressant dose by half! I’m not where I want to be in life yet, but, for the first time in over 9 years, I can honestly and truly say that I am HAPPY and so SO excited about what the future will bring!

Change is hard. But it’s worth it.

Just an fyi that I broke my arm, so I may not post much for a while. Unfortunately, it IS my dominant (drawing arm) that's broken :/ I may still attempt some left handed art for the fun of it, though. We'll see...

The red rose is symbolic for passion, true love, romance, and desire. It represents true respect and appreciation toward one another.

My #1 OTP. A pairing I never expected to be a thing, considering how completely different they were. A shaky friendship made strong through the trials and tribulations of Warlords of Draenor. A traditional Vindicator and rebellious Elementalist come together, appreciating one another's differences, leaning on each other for strength, and completing each other in every way. Argonas ( @argonas ) and Sinafay ( @codegemini )'s is a love that even death itself couldn't separate!

Sarah ( @littlegothwitchsarah ) and Adrian are Uratha characters my best friend and I created for a Werewolf: the Forsaken game. The two initially met while a terrible storm was raging through the city, and Adrian helped Sarah find shelter. While they were initially weary of one another, coming from separate packs, they quickly built trust over working together against the spiritual dangers that lingered in the area. They found themselves drawn to each other over time, but neither one wanting to admit their feelings due to the nature of what they were.

April Prompt - Hyacinthe and Brent

Daisies are most often used to symbolize purity and innocence.

Who'd ever thought Brent, an ex-cultist and assassin, would ever be associated with the words above? But the friendship he shares with Hyacinthe brings about just that. The Bard started off as his apprentice in archeology, and their cheerful yet respectful demeanor somehow manages to pull the rogue out of his seeming constant state of pouting and gloominess. An impressive feat not achieved by many.
