Dragging through his sickness it is. What was so nice was the way that nice hot cloth was just what he seemed to need in that moment- a better solution than his previous idea he’d yet to act on, which was to try and cook up a bunch of peppers he’d bought from the market and make that work to relieve his sinuses. The nature of their relationship had always been a bit rocky since his return to Khura’in. But he refused to make much of a connection on purpose- they were taking on such a large feat, he made little time for trying to dredge up the past or sort old woes together.
The note is well found and pressed close to his face, but, as much as he wanted to pursue and try and flag him down to do his own shopping without all the fuss, Apollo’s strength is at best, limited, and most of it was used just trying to figure out how long it would take him to recover within a reasonable week- But, If he was going to be gone for hours, he may as well try and do something with the pepper. As expected with a man who boasted no great cooking skills, even with the familiar fish of his youth, His reaction times aren’t great for the pop of hot oil, nor his chopping, or trying to fry up said meat while the chilies and lazily mashed garlic start to show some severe signs of being darker than golden brown. It only needed one spark to be an absolute disaster.
Not even an hour had passed since Nahyuta had come to the bazaar when he came upon the stall he was looking for. With how stubborn Apollo seemed to be about natural remedies, he figured finding actual pharmaceuticals would help. He would at least take those right? There was a limited amount to choose from since Khura’in didn’t have the most advanced medicines readily available to them like the states. Yet he was able to find some to help with the attorney’s cold. Once purchased, he returned to the Justice Law Office.
As Nahyuta entered the office he was met with the smell of burnt cooking, his nose wrinkling at the scent. Cooking fish with herbs should have been a pleasant scent, not one that caused him to cough. Wait. Why was Apollo cooking? And was that... smoke?
“Apollo? What are you doing?” he called out before hurriedly entering the office.

“Oof-” Nahyuta was practically knocked over in the middle of the airport by the powerful embrace of his brother, though a quick step back was enough to balance them both. Arms were wrapped tightly around his middle and he let out a chuckle as he embraced the other, petting his head softly.
“You act as though it’s been ages since we’ve last seen each other.” Granted Apollo had returned to the states for a while, it had only been a few weeks before he asked his brother to visit. “I would have come sooner if I knew you missed me this much,” he joked.

Probably reblog this later when more people are online, but since I finished SoJ, depending on the character or rp, I’ll most likely start defaulting to post-SoJ as a setting, but I’ll still do rps that take place during.

A heavy sigh left the monk’s lips as the attorney refused his offer of tea. He had quite a bit more knowledge on local remedies than Apollo and knew what would help him. Yet stubborn as he was, he refused his help. He had thought, at least on his part, they had gotten past this. Nahyuta had begun to set aside the tea cup when he caught Apollo’s head dropping out of the corner of his eye.
“Apollo?” A feeling of anxiety spiked through him as he moved beside the other and gently lifted his head by his chin. Apollo’s face was flushed from fever and he could feel it without even touching his forehead. Brows furrowed as he pulled the other back from his laptop and moved him so he was lying on the couch.
Their immense workload must have finally taken its toll on the younger man.Putting a countries legal system back in order was no easy feat and the strain on both of them was pushing them to a tipping point. It just happened to push Apollo over the edge first.
The prosecutor flit around the room, grabbing a few things to care for the other, much like he recalled their father doing for them when they were younger. First he spread out a blanket over the other, before wetting a cloth and placing it over his forehead. That would help for now, but they needed real medicine for Apollo.
“I’ll return in a short while,” he said softly, fingers running gently through Apollo’s hair. He then scrawled a quick note for Apollo in case he awoke while Nahyuta was gone.
“Gone to the bazaar” - Nahyuta
@khurainistmonk continued from here
Everything about him felt stuffed up, like he’d been filling his entire head with all the used tissues around him. Fever had been the other half, and he wished with all his heart that there was something nearby that had the familiar neon lights of a pharmacy, rather than the too kind soul who had offered him natural medicine for all his ailments, even the ones he hadn’t spoken in the short, polite term of their conversation. How easily his requests were ignored by the populace, especially by Nahyuta, then. His mouth hung wearily open, a warm, salty feeling gathering in his mouth while he blankly stares off at the offending drink in front of him, despising his brother for being as stubborn as he was. They were not blood, but surely their father had hammered that into them to be unrelenting. Apollo nudges away the fine cup, trying to doggedly get back to his work rather than thank him for even bothering to stop his reading.
But as he was about to wipe his mouth off, another wave of unbearable heat and nausea came over him,his hands stilled over the laptop keys. Apollo’s head thumped against the crease of his his arm, burning up and panting like the effort had made him run a mile in place.

" I don't want tea." Roughly clearing his throat- and having to cough in his arm instead. " I just need to get out, have a run, and I'll be fine-"
“Apollo... You are just as stubborn as ever,” Nahyuta sighed, shaking his head. “I presume this office at least has some tea to speak of?” If not Apollo, Datz had to have some lying about. Moving about the office, he was able to find what little they had left and began making a cup for his brother, even through his protests.
“At least drink one cup. It will help.”

“Heh, ever as affectionate as always,” Nahyuta smiled softly. “You know, you are always welcome to come see me at the palace. It’s not to far from the office.” With open arms, he embraced his brother, hugging him tightly nonetheless. He quite missed such affections from when they were younger. Perhaps he could get used to this once more.
