Context:

Wingding, as a kid, never really went out at night cause he studies a lot, wanting to impress his grandfather when he could. The absence of his parents made it easy for him to dedicate his time to study and fulfill basic needs

But well, eventually he had to take care of his siblings, with both his parents being busy contributors to monster society, he took care of child sans a lot back then. And one time sans couldn't, refused to sleep and instead pestered Wingding to stargaze for once.

Wingding reluctantly relents and he was mesmerized by the sight, despite there being few stars then, it was a sight to behold.

Years after, the memory is still there but Wingding can't really recall it perfectly. Mentioning it to star offhandedly while he's busy sorting folders of their research so far.

Star offers to show Wingding the stars one day, Wingding has seen the stars once and he said so but Star insists, because "there won't be anything blocking your view, when we get out of here, i'll show you"

Wingding accepts the offer eventually.

How do you pronounce Acai

on a personal level, 2022 was good. I took a bunch of bubble baths. I tried tons of new food. I learned how to pronounce "Acai." I threw a tantrum over the pronunciation of "Acai." I cooked myself candlelit dinners and dyed my hair torquoise. all of my shoes fit. a good year

A cat from my neighbourhood always comes to my house for food, sometimes they like to terrorise my mom, sometimes they like jumping on the dining table and barf on the porch.

But they always like to nuzzle and kiss my face whenever they jump on my lap.

i actually completely disagree! although toby has stated that no ut merch is canon (except for the face burgerpants is making on the mtt poster, yes he said that,) it’s been a seemingly intentional trend on ut merch that gaster is shown on it before being removed later, though in this case he was actually printed on it.

it happened first with the tarot cards, where he was replaced with gerson on the merch release, although i believe the artist drew them as their own project before fangamer partnered with them?? however, it happened again with a different undertale vinyl release:

the images on the left were promotional pictures i believe, and on the right is the final art. he’s… very hard to miss. it’d be insane to me if this was an accident or the approval process was SO shitty that no one realized he was there at first?? it seems deliberate.

considering that gaster has a known tendency to disappear from reality, i think he’s also disappearing from merch just for the meta humor of it all.

i obviously don’t have direct insight into how the merch is produced, but i do know that most things made to be sold have preeetty thorough approval processes so the idea that they’d print ENTIRE BOX SETS with gaster as an accident is kinda ridiculous (and it’d also make it one hell of a collector’s item lmao.) the artist for the vinyl was specifically commissioned to draw it, so it wasn’t a leftover from their piece that they didn’t remove until later, and it’s not very likely that the artist actually just slipped him in with no one noticing. (but if they did that’d be fucking hilarious.)

so yeah i think that can be considered as official art of him!

The only instances I know of gaster appearing in fangamer merch is his tarot card and on the vinyl sheet before he was removed, I didn’t know he also appeared as a sticker in a sheet :o I can’t seem to find the design anywhere
