My camera could barely block out enough light to capture these. It took 1/4000 exposure, f/32, 100 ISO, and a bit more post processing than I usually allow myself. A random whispy cloud helped a lot.
I didn't originally plan to photograph the eclipse. Thousands of photographers would be doing it with better equipment than me. Why bother? But then I never got around to picking up a pair of eclipse glasses before they went out of stock, so I figured it'd be better to scorch my camera sensor than my eyes.

o d y s s e y. With the summer approaching, I’m stoked to announce a new photography workshop with my good pal @fursty, set within the Icelandic highlands for this coming July. Throughout a week of exploring, we’ll be sharing all of our insight into the world photography, whilst adventuring under the midnight sun. All information can be found via the link in my bio. Adventure awaits 🤙🏼 #iceland (at Highlands, Iceland)

Hot to Edit Photos: A Step-by-Step Guide by Kenneth Callahan
1) Tweak the dials until you have completely lost your grip on reality, and can no longer remember what trees and human skin actually look like. 2) Undo and redo every change three or four times to decide which way is better. It's like you're at the eye doctor. 3) Looks great! Compare to original for reference. 4) OH GOD YOU FUCKED UP GO BACK GO BACK GO BACK 5) Redo from scratch. Compare to original again. Nope, you didn't need that much contrast. Everything looks fake. You suck at this. 6) Take a break and rest your eyes. Get more coffee. Resume editing. 7) Just keep it simple. Bring up the shadows a tad. Remove that piece of trash in the background. -5 whites, +10 clarity. Nope, that's too much clarity. Level the horizon. Crop to the rule of thirds. 8) Looks okay I think. Export. Open next photo. 9) Wait, shit, it's midnight on a work night. Go to bed. 10) Resume editing a day later. Check your work from the previous night. 11) It's dog shit. Better try and fix that. 12) Turn up the music so you can't hear your internal screaming.

Me: What a nice, relaxing evening. Time to chill out and unwind. My brain: Yeah okay cool. Sounds great. My brain: ...so check out this crazy imaginary argument I just simulated.

Cattle of Kings
A Mundari man guards his precious Ankole-Watusi herd with a rifle. About 350,000 cattle are stolen and more than 2,000 people killed each year by cattle rustlers.
A Mundari man takes advantage of the antibacterial properties of the cow’s urine to wash his head which is covered in cuts.
A Mundari man smokes a shisha pipe at the end of a long day.
A Mundari man displays the tassels made of cow’s tails which will be attached to his prized animals’ horns. The tassels are not only decorative, but also keep insects away from the eyes of the cows.
A Mundari man with his most prized cattle. With its large, beautiful horns, this animal will lead the rest of the herd out to graze every day.

Little dude was about ¼" long, chilling on the wall outside my office. iPhone lens was about half an inch away for the photo. Google didn’t show me an exact match for the markings, but it might be a common grass spider or a wolf spider.
