"Ohh both things I really like, though I gotta be honest, I love tequila more than time." She shrugged and took the glass that was offered to her. Taking a sipof it, she smiled. "How about you tell me what's been going on with you though?"
The dim amber lights of Florez Bar cast a warm glow across the polished wood countertops, the low hum of classic rock crackling softly from the jukebox in the corner. Mariana stood behind the bar, a bar rag slung over her shoulder and a half-cleaned glass in her hand. It was a slow night—just a few regulars scattered across the booths—but she didn’t mind. It gave her more time to catch up.
“You picked a good night to show up,” she said, flashing a smirk as she leaned forward on the counter, her elbows resting on the cool surface. “No drunk assholes yet, and the fryer’s working for once. Miracles do happen.”
She slid a drink across to her friend—on the house, of course—before pouring one for herself. Her nails clicked against the glass as she lifted it, studying them for a moment before turning her attention back with a grin.
“Alright, spill. What’s been going on with you? Don’t make me drag it out—I’ve got time and tequila.” @rededgerpstarterblog

"Because neither of really had to do anything back home in Red Edge." Kennedy laughed. "Besides we both knew that the second weekend is more fun than the first when it comes to this festival."
By the time the sun started dipping behind the Ferris wheel, casting everything in hazy orange and soft lavender, Jax King was finally still.
He was stretched out on a picnic blanket someone definitely stole from a VIP section, half-sunk into a pile of throw pillows like some desert prince. His shirt was open, his curls were messy, and his shades were perched low enough to show just how bloodshot his eyes were. His legs were outstretched, ankles crossed, beer resting on his stomach, condensation trailing down over the faded lettering of a vintage band tee.
Around him, the rest of the Red Edge crew lounged like survivors of some beautiful, chaotic war—one friend snoring lightly under a straw hat, another scrolling through photos with a quiet laugh, a third lazily blowing bubbles into the warm air with a mini bottle of soap she found in her fanny pack.
"Tell me again why we thought three days of this was a good idea," Jax murmured, eyes flickering to the soft pink sky. @rededgerpstarterblog

"Same, though I think any trip will be hard to beat the vibes that was Costa Rica." She said. "Oh yes, snorkeling would be a great one to do even in Red Edge."
"It really was. I hope if they do another trip, it's as great as Costa Rica." She said. "Though, I wouldn't mind another Sunday Funday on the beach or snorkeling."

"I loved Costa Rica, I don't think anyone in their right mind hated Costa Rica or wanted to leave." She looked at Raphael and smiled at him. "How about you?"
Raphael nodded his head in agreement as he listened to Kennedy. "You have a good point." He said with a smile. "Did you like Costa Rica or are you just happy to be back in Red Edge?"

"I get it." Kennedy said. "I'm pretty sure everyone in town feels the same way."
"I fucking loved Costa Rica. I was so sad when we came back, but it's nice to be home, you know?"

Kennedy nodded and gently reached across the table and squeezed Jasmine's hand. "I am sorry you're going through this Jasmine, it's really not fair to you at all."
"I mean, it's whatever." Jasmine shrugged. "If he comes back, I'll talk to him, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on it."

"I'm a model." Kennedy smiled. "So it's not really all that fabulous, but it keeps a roof over my head and food on the table."
Ivy nodded “ I bet! No one wants to go to things like that alone. It’s boring. It’s peaceful, but boring. I think you would’ve had a lot more fun with me hanging around,” she smiled. “ But what do you do again? Remind me of the official title of your fabulous work life,” she asked her.

"God I hope so too." Kennedy agreed and looked at Calliope. "Everything about this trip has been beyond perfect."
"I know, I hope the mayor or whoever is in charge of these Sunday Funday events makes sure to keep up the fun while we're back in Red Edge."

"It has been." Kennedy agreed and looked at Jayce. "How are you doing though?" She asked.
"I know, it's been a whirlwind of a month, but it's been a lot of fun too."

Kennedy smiled at Jasmine. "It has been." She agreed. "Uh, I heard that Caleb isn't here anymore. Are you okay?"
"God I know, this month has been such a dream come true." Jasmine looked at Kennedy and smiled at her.

"So do I, and it'll be nice not to have a roommate once we're back home." Kennedy laughed and looked at her. "Are you enjoying Costa Rica?"
"Ugh I know." Lydia agreed and looked at Kennedy. "Though I'm not going to lie, I miss my own bed and not having a roommate."

"That's true, I do miss sleeping in my own bed." Kennedy said with a laugh.
"God I know." Brooke agreed and looked at Kenndy. "It's gonna be sad as fuck when March ends, but, it'll be nice to be back home."

"That's not good at all, Elena." Kennedy shook her head and looked at her friend. "I understand how shitty braek ups can be, but you can't let that take away your happiness or your mental health."
Elena smiled. "I'm honestly going to take you up on that offer." SHe said to her. "Seriously, I feel like ever since Max and I broke up, all I do is hide out in my shop."

Kennedy looked at him with a smile. "Honestly, I agree, then again, we're in Costa Rica and not Red Edge, so I think being in a new place helps with a sense of euphoria, you know?"
The scent of grilled seafood and fresh citrus filled the air as Raphael leaned back in his chair, savoring the ocean breeze. The small beachside restaurant was lively, a mix of locals and tourists laughing over cold drinks and fresh ceviche. He speared a piece of fish with his fork, taking a slow bite before glancing at his friend across the table. “You know,” Raphael said, smirking as he lifted his glass, “I could get used to this—good food, good company, and no responsibilities.” @rededgerpstarterblog
