I know I said before that this was crack, but after season six, turns out I was right and am a mouse whisperer.

What’s Lance’s Secret?

Way at the beginning of season 1, before the bonding moment, it was confirmed by the space mice that Lance had a secret, though it was never verbally stated. My friend, @bleulily, made a comment about how she wanted to know what the space mice found out about Lance when they were gossiping with Allura. I was curious, too, and re-watched the scene. I think I’ve figured it out.

So, the scene starts shortly after Hunk and Keith are messing around with the drinks and snacks. The mice show up, and Allura confesses to them that she’s not sure that any of the have what it takes to be paladins. She asks them to keep it a secret then gets curious, asking “Who else has secrets?”

For reference, before the mice begin pantomiming they look like this:

The mice decide to start with Hunk’s secret, using Platt as a stand-in for Hunk so that they can mime the secret to Allura, and us the audience since we can’t read their minds like she can. To which Allura replies “Hunk tried to eat what? That is rather amusing.” Suggesting that it’s a secret because Hunk tried to eat something that he would be embarrassed to admit that he did.

Allura asks the mice for more secrets, and they deliver by moving onto Lance. To share Lance’s secret, Chulatt hops onto Plachu and begins twirling his tail around, pretending to fire it like a gun then gives Allura a flirty look. To which Allura replies “That seems like Lance.” Except neither of those are secrets. She knows that Lance can fire a blaster and likes to flirt. That’s when you look a Plachu and realize that he’s also in a stance.

One might assume that he’s upset because Chulatt suddenly jumped on him, but Plachu seemed fine using Platt to mime his bit. On top of that, it’s been shown that the mice are extremely comfortable standing on each other.

Chulatt could also be standing on Plachu to imitate Lance’s height, but he remains on Plachu when he does the reveal that Pidge is a girl to Allura, who is the shortest one among them. I’d, also, like to note in the following picture that Plachu seems more relaxed than when Chulatt was miming Lance’s secret, not nearly as grouchy.

So then why did Chulatt decide that he needed to hop onto Plachu in order to get his point across about Lance’s secret? Well, look at the above picture of the mice again and then look at this.

Plachu is holding himself and mimicking how everyone perceives Keith to be, as grouchy, especially when around Lance. Of course, that’s not a secret either. It’s been made clear to everyone that Lance and Keith don’t get along, and Chulatt wouldn’t need to be on top of Plachu to show that Lance is getting on Keith’s nerves. They could have taken a stance like this instead:

Instead, it looks like Chulatt is literally crushing Plachu. Also, right now, all Allura knows about Lance is that he’s flirty and slightly immature. It could sound like him to secretly have a crush on Keith and annoys him because he likes him, which to Allura, would sound like Lance and would be a secret that Lance wouldn’t want spread around.

So, in conclusion, Lance’s secret, the one that the mice revealed to Allura, is that he likes Keith but isn’t emotionally ready to do anything about it.

I’m going to be coming back next week at the start of Safe Klance Week. I’m hoping Jeremy calms everything down, but if not, I’m going to be unfollowing anyone who is posting negativity about Keith or the new season, even if that means breaking mutuals. I’m sorry, but I can’t it with you guys anymore. I actually LIKE Voltron. It’s my favorite show.

Am I seeing things or is this Keith?

So it’s been confirmed that this scene is from the D&D episode and you can see some party members besides Allura on the ground, but wait...

According to this picture, this is what everyone looks like:

But when you zoom in, you can see Hunk, Shiro, and Pidge but then there’s a mystery dude among them.

But the mystery guy doesn’t look like how Lance is designed.

So, getting to my question. Is it just me or does this look like Keith when you focus on it?

so, bakugou’s gotta have some major issues with being confined at this point right? like, the first time he nearly died

the second time he was humiliated in front of the whole country

and the third time was a direct cause of the second that left him in the care of known murderers

i’d be surprised if he wasn’t majorly claustrophobic at this point

fic summary:

When Shiro and Matt disappear without a trace, conspiracy theorists Keith and Pidge team up with ghost hunters Lance and Hunk to find them. They soon discover they are paladins, which means they have the ability to walk between the physical and spirit worlds. Now it’s up to them to stop Zarkon, an evil spirit who plans to invade the human world. … And the only way to do that is to find the five spirit lions that combine into an immensely powerful being called Voltron.

chapter summary:

lance invites keith to an astronomy club event. things don’t exactly go as planned. also, keith has another dream.

excerpt:

“Hey, we’re not gonna ditch you,” Lance said firmly.

Keith barely heard him. There were a thousand blaring alarms in his head because Lance’s arm was draped across his shoulders, Lance’s side was practically pressed against his, and Keith could feel the warmth radiating from him.

He lifted his head and felt like his heart had plunged into his stomach, because suddenly Lance’s face was so close to his that Keith almost had to go cross-eyed to look at him. Lance’s arm stiffened around Keith’s shoulders as they made eye contact, a dazed expression falling over his face.

Keith swallowed. “You mean it?” he murmured, voice rasping a little.

The blank look remained on Lance’s face for a second, like he’d forgotten what they were talking about. But then his mouth started to quirk up at one corner in an easy, crooked smile. When he laughed, Keith could feel the short huff of air against his face.

“Of course I mean it. You’re not gonna get rid of us, mullet. Promise.”
