If Tam and Linh lived on their own in Exillium for around three years, and are about 14-15, they were 11-12 when they were banished. And Linh made that flood at age 11-12?? But Fitz said he was the youngest to manifest at age 13??

what if after Keefe gets put in a coma it messes up Elwin a bit, he’s still nice and friendly to the kids but Elwin starts getting real pissed at the council and black swan and they’re about to send Sophie or one of the kids on a mission and Elwin hears this and storms his way into their meeting and starts losing it on the adults “WHY ARE KIDS FIGHTING YOUR WAR?! DO YOU NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM?” Because he’s angry and tired of the kids being hurt in a battle that isn’t theirs and he’s not mad at them because it isn’t their fault but he’s tired of being scared that one of them isn’t going to come home and he’s mad that none of them seem to see that they are kids who have nightmares and had to learn how to fight because of this stupid war and it’s the first time any of them see Elwin lose his cool and he’s on the edge of tearing the Neverseen apart himself with his bare hands

Excellent theory! I agree 100%. Their attack on Lumenaria was an indirect “attempt” to weaken the goblins or to distract them. But the question does remain: the Neverseen is an organization- which means not every elf is going to be apart of it. So how will they attack Gildingham?

I took a moment to think about it and I wondered is humans had anything to do with it (but that’s a little bit of a stretch). We know that Gisela tried to recruit a human, but in the end it didn’t work out. Elves have fragile consciousness so they can’t process the violence of world like we or any other species can—so maybe they’ll recruit humans to fight for them?? Idk sorry that was weird 😅

Let’s talk about goblins

Earlier today, @keefesempathy and I had a short conversation about Gildingham, and why it was on the cover of Unlocked. We agreed that the goblins were likely to be the next ones attacked, since, you know. Literally every other magical species is out of the race. But Hestia mentioned this part on page 19 of Legacy:

And I think we’ve been discounting the goblins because of what Mr. Forkle says here, the fact that they won’t be attacked until the Neverseen is ready to take over. 

But right now? The Neverseen is literally one Intelligent Species and one publicity stunt away from overthrowing the Council. They’re closer to being ready to take over then they ever have been, and that’s not even taking whatever Lady Gisela did to Keefe into account. 

So. If/when the Neverseen do attack the goblins, what’s their plan?

“The Neverseen’s hit list” IM DEAD

That never really occurred to me until right now- in Legacy when Mr. Forkle was talking with Sophie in his secret hideout with the Hobbit door (chapter 1) she made it seem like she’d already taken out the goblins in book 5 (Lodestar) during the fall of Lumernaria. But Sandor did object when Mr. Forkle was like “eh, they’re taken care of” so maybe the goblin army has fully recovered from that incident. But who knows? (That makes me more excited than I already am ngl sorry if I have any typos, my hands are shaking with the possibilities)

Okay now that you've seen it, THEORY TIME

We know that the top right corner is Eternalia, right? Yes. But I think the three buildings represent the three "original" councillors. The blue one being Kenric because he's a telepath and it's in the front(he was always her favorite) and the purple one being Oralie because she was always the least noticed to Sophie out of the three and now Sophie is ignoring her.

THAT LEAVES BRONTE AS THE GREEN ONE. Not only does that building LOOK like it has pointy ears, but it's the most included in the picture. Bronte has ALWAYS besn the councillor she payed attention to the most, whether it being out of fear or trust, and recently he's been the most included in her group (on missions and stuff).

BUT IT'S GREEN. Like, WANDERLING GREEN. I have a theory on Instagram (councillor_bronte) that he's gonna die in one of the last books, and this would just prove it even more.

In conclusion, I'm scared, the cover is amazing, and I don't want my boy to die.

Also, why was Gildingham one of the places she chose? THAT confuses me.

I am unsure if I should be disappointed or not because it's a nice cover but I was hoping for multiple characters :/ (also Sophie's face WHAT THE HECK IM- why does she look so angry?? But determined?? Did Shannon finally give her a gun and say "murder the Neverseen" or 😭)

I do think the cover is pretty honestly. If I hadn’t read keeper and I saw that I’d ask my mom to buy it for me 😂 

at least we get more art of the characters in the book! And I know she'll commission things that make everyone happy :) ↓
