I think Uncle Jack sees you as a fragile little teacup. The finest china used only for special guests.
Hannibal, Apéritif (via hannibalcafe)
It's a joy to go back and rewatch these earlier episodes now to review how the main characters initially interacted compared to where they are by the end. Hannibal's evil intent is clearer, on rewatching, because we now know to doubt his intentions, to scrutinise every subtle clue, every slight change in facial expression. There is no filler in the show's dialogue. Every word has meaning, intent. The brilliant subtlety of Mads Mikkelsen's performance, the beautifully ramped up degeneration of Will Graham by Hugh Dancy. This show is so layered that each episode can be viewed multiple times revealing new delights, clues, links, threads that carry across the season.
