in all seriousness, mikko rantanen has been an integral part of this team since he was a rookie who could barely speak english on the worst team in the league. he's been the light of this team for years, a bright spot and a leader, gave us iconic moments for the fanbase to hold onto even at their worst. he knew how to handle nate and gabe loved him, he and lehky were childhood best friends, and he managed to be one of the best players in the league in his own right. when he signed after holding out the first time, the boys made handmade signs to welcome him home. even has the team has lost a lot of its soul and its whimsy in its social media, mikko was always there to make us laugh and fall in love with his smile. boys are hot because of mikko, he was the big moose, the fans love him so much there's a fucking song about him i'm going to miss him so much
