’Namjoon~~ let’s go out!’ Jimin suggested, making Namjoon look at him, ’Huh? Right now? It’s like…midnight.’ Namjoon was a bit confused by Jimin’s suggestion. Why would he want to go out with him at midnight?

‘I’ve prepared something for you, a surprise!’ Jimin insisted, trying to make him more intrigued, 'Surprise? At this hour?’ Namjoon just chuckled at Jimin’s ideas. What could he be planning again?

'Yes~ but we must go now~’

Namjoon wondered why Jimin kept insisting so he decided to say yes, ’Ok, yeah..let’s go out,whenever you have planned to take me.’ Namjoon smiled to him softly, ’Ok~~ put something warm on because it’s cold outside! I’ll go get the things we need for this and we’ll go.’

Namjoon waited for Jimin to come out, he was used to Jimin being late as usual. Once Jimin came out, he had a whole blanket in his arms and a …picnic basket. Namjoon wondered where the hell he found that or why would he bring it with him..

'What’s up with that basket?’ Namjoon continued staring at it, wondering, 'Hyung! I told you it’s a surprise, let’s go now!’ Jimin headed outside and Namjoon followed him, feeling very curious. Was Jimin planning a picnic date for them? But why at midnight?

'I told the driver to take us to the location. Since you know..we both aren’t good at driving.’ Jimin announced to Namjoon once they entered the car, 'God, no. I can’t imagine me driving, especially..at midnight.’

'I know right..’

Both Jimin and Namjoon stayed in silence in the car, both looking at the stars out of the window. Even though it was quite a chilly night, the stars were very beautiful and bright, you couldn’t not look at them. ’They’re very pretty, aren’t they…’

'Yep…..so pretty~~’ Jimin nodded, still looking at the stars. The car stopped, the driver informing them they’ve arrived to the location, 'Thank you! I’ll call you once we need a ride again!’ Jimin thanked the driver and got out with Namjoon. Namjoon looked around, noticing a lake close to him. It was one of the places he adored.

There was a small park close to a lake that he always went walks to, usually by himself. But this time he was with Jimin.

'I know you like this place, Namjoonie!~’ Jimin walked into the park finding a spot to place the blanket on the grass and the picnic basket. He also bought an extra blanket with him incase they felt cold.

'Jimin..you prepared so much for this, why?’ Namjoon looked at the food and blankets Jimin brought with him, 'Of course because i wanted to cheer you up, Joonie!’ Jimin just smiled at him making Namjoon feel a little shy. Why was Jimin being so cute today? He just wanted to squish his cute cheeks.

'Ah…do i really deserve this…’ Namjoon just sighed, looking up at the sky, admiring the stars once again, 'Namjoonie! Let’s eat the food i prepared!’ Jimin protested cutely, 'Uh, yeah. I almost forgot..’

Both Jimin and Namjoon started eating the snacks Jimin brought with him while sitting on the grass, somehow it felt very comforting. Feeling the breeze of the chilly night, sitting close by the lake in silence. It’s like Jimin knew what Namjoon needed.

'Ah..i feel so full now..’ Namjoon whined making Jimin giggle, 'But all i brought was snacks! Imagine if it was proper food!’ He teased.

'Right, right..’ Namjoon pouted slightly. 'But, hyung! Don’t you feel a little..cold?’ Jimin was starting to feel a little cold, wrapping his arms around him, 'Maybe, a little..’

'Should we use this extra blanket i brought?’ Jimin suggested, 'Sure.’ Jimin got up and brought the blanket with him. He put the picnic basket aside and covered both him and Namjoon with the blanket. All he wanted right now was to cuddle up next to him. Would Namjoon want the same as well? Or he’d reject him?

'Jimin, can we- i mean- if it’s not weird for you- can we cuddle?’ Namjoon hesitated but he finally uttered the words he wanted to say, ’Hyung! That’s what i had in mind as well! Please do.’ Jimin of course couldn’t say no and was happy to do as he said. Jimin scooted closer to Namjoon, nuzzling his face on his chest, feeling already warmer, ’You’re very soft, Jimin.’ Namjoon petted his hair softly,

’And you smell very good..’ Namjoon added, feeling flustered. Some hours ago he was very stressed out, but now he was feeling flustered by Jimin’s warmth and scent. How could a person be so comforting? How could one person’s presence be so….warm?

Namjoon knew that Jimin could make anyone feel better, including him. All he needed was Jimin.

'You sure do love staying up all night, don’t you, Jimin?’ Namjoon broke the silence, ’You do as well, hyung.’ Jimin said to him softly, his voice sounding sleepy, Jimin was feeling quite sleepy by now.

’I guess so.’

'Hyung, do you feel better now?’ Jimin asked, 'Sure i do..’

'Really?’

'Yeah, and it’s all thanks to you, Jimin.’ Namjoon paused for a second, ’Thank you, Jimin.’

'No problem, hyung~’

Maybe Jimin should take Namjoon on picnic dates at midnight more often. That’s what Namjoon thought. He’d love to go on more midnight dates with him. It helped both of them to relax and heal from their own problems and concerns.
