Doing another one of these headcanon posts like before out of boredom; this was going to be another set of non-moonhill ones but then I changed my mind lol so here's some more r-men rambling woooo

headcanons under the cut!

Most of the R-Men have a naming theme of all having names that begin with "R". The names of The three R-Men in the OG Moonhill scenario are Remus, Rock, and Rico. Also, those aren't their real names; they were just the ones given to them after becoming R-Men.

Remus is Rex's second-in-command and most trusted confident in personal matters. When Rex needs something done right away, Remus is there for him without fail, and helps wrangle all the new recruits with strict discipline. While Rex appreciates Remus's hard work, he goes unnoticed by everyone else, which makes him feel a little left out...

Rock is extremely prone to violence and using it as a method of solving problems. If the gang is robbing a bank, Rock would bring explosives to blow up the vault. Need to get information out of someone? Send them Rock's way! On the streets, Rock is the most daring, not caring who or what gets in the way. (Which leads to his kart looking the most messed up... It's safe to say most R-Men are terrified of Rock because they can never tell what he's thinking despite his bone-breaking habits.)

Rico is the last one and he's my personal favorite. Unlike the other two who Rex trusts the most with his work, Rico is like... a walking magnet for disaster. While he's very nice, he's also dumb as a brick and a coward to boot. However, he's very easy to convince to do minion work. Also, he's really good at gambling with craps (the dice game) being his specialty. (Remus has no clue how he's that good- and he's not cheating, either!)

This one's more of an art headcanon than a personality one, but for me, Rico's right eye is slightly lazy!

I'm sure everyone has noticed by now, but I like how all the magical "human" characters have five-fingered hands instead of four like everyone else. I saw it with a friend when Pim and Vivi first came out, thinking it must've been a mistake- but nope! It's because they're sprites (folklore creatures associated with fairies and fae.) Lucid from Maplestory also has this since she's apparently an elf. I thought Tiera also had this quirk, but she doesn't, and neither does Draky, which means that in the KRD world, you have to be born like that. Not just using magic or being the supernatural!

(I made my own OC Nancho also have five-fingers but I literally forgot to include it in her main character art :( but trust me she does!)

Do you have any headcanons for the characters in Moonhill City?? Im curious of what you think of the place and even of Neo, Rex and Zipi

I have a lot of them! The list is a bit long, so I'm putting it under the cut.

Despite their names being similar, Boom Hill and Moonhill have nothing to do with each other. Boom Hill is this almost-forgotten podunk village (probably off a few maps,) and Moonhill is famous for its glitzy streets and never-ending nights. Moonhill's moon isn't the real moon- it's just a magical illusion unique to the area. (People who've only grown up in Moonhill know what the sun is, they've just never seen it. In fact, if someone were to move out of Moonhill, they would have to adjust to seeing the sun!) Neo is so special because of that gem in his helmet. It has unusual telekinetic properties, which means Neo can manipulate objects with his mind at will. He can sometimes lose control and destroy whatever he manipulates when he gets mad (for example his Mad emote in-game.) He actively tries to keep his emotions in check because of this.

Neo (And most R-Men including Rex) don't remember who they were before becoming R-Men. Ironically, Rex and Neo were best friends before going to Moonhill. Neo doesn't remember this and Rex hates that he was ever friends with him.

Neo hates sweet foods but is a big fan of bitter coffees and spicy food. The most sweet he can handle is the thin chocolate on Pocky.

Likewise, Rex LOVES sweets but can't handle bitter stuff. He actively avoids coffee like the plague.

Neo's a natural redhead. For no reason other than I think it's funny. In KRD, Rex's eyes are brown, but to me, they're a deep red- his favorite color!

Zipi is in his early 80's, and only got his hands on the money he loves so much because of nepotism (his dad owned a lot of factories.) He also has no interest in getting into a romantic relationship with anybody. Black Company is technically part of Moonhill so I'm putting them here too: Viktor's last name is Twotop, and Raptor L and R refer to him mainly as "Mr. Twotop" rather than Viktor. Kris sometimes calls him "Vikky" and it annoys the shit out of him. Kris has pretty much forgotten about Airi at this point, despite Airi trying her hardest to get her to realize that she's with some pretty bad people. I don't even think Kris remembers her name. They've been friends since grade school which hurts even more! Kris has a bunch of mechanical keyboards with custom keycaps. Her favorite one is a RGB one with black and pink themed keycaps (and cat-shaped ones.)
