1. Yes, I have an ED. I am not pro. I am drowning in my own demons. Unfortunately, they learned to swim.
2. No bigotry, racism, transphobia, or any other hate allowed here. play nice damnit.
3. There will be recipes and other triggering shit. This is your TW.
It's weird. I've gone from a 3x to a L (American sizing). I fast 20 hrs a day. And in that 4 hr window, I only eat non-starch veggies and boneless skinless chicken. Water, water, water and 1 can of sugar free Monster.
I am finding that I lose a lot more weight by eating some calories rather than total starvation. I burned 2200 calories today. With a total caloric intake of 950 after a 18 hr fast. I'm doing intermittent fasting.
I had a little accident in which my skull met concrete from passing out. (0 out of 5 stars, does not recommend) The passing out wasn't ed related, so....blargh.
This is something that needs to be spoken about a LOT more. I'm literally blind in one eye and the other doesn't work very well either. Right now, as I type this on my phone, said phone is about 3 inches from my nose.
I can't have eye surgery because if I lose vision in that eye, I am blinded.
The blind eye is not correctable at all.
Luckily, I can afford glasses. I also know that for some goddamn reason, it's a privilege.
Vision and dental care are so out of reach for a large number of people. Insurance often doesn't cover it OR you spend more on the insurance than they pay out for corrective lenses.
The American health care system is so badly out of whack, it makes routine vision and dental care a privilege for many people.
"We DoN't WaNt SoCiAlIsM!!" You don't even know what socialism is.
The United States is still the only country in the "developed world" without a system of universal healthcare. The ONLY one.
This is why we have to vote. Not just the presidential election, either. All. Of. The. Elections.
If you will turn 18 before the midterm election in Nov, register to vote. I believe each state has laws/regulations to how close to voting day (Nov 8, 2022) you have to be, it's easy to find on Google tho.
You get out and vote. Things are only getting worse.
People on twitter are saying glasses aren’t a disability aid, and like… I get glasses have been pretty normalized, but I’m poor and need my glasses to drive/see in general/stop myself from getting migraines so… if my glasses break, I’m pretty fucked. Not being able to see is a disability for many, actually.
Found Marshmello's new Coke flavor (sugar free). It's supposed to be watermelon and strawberry flavored. Will report back if it is good.
Stir Fry kit. This is just chopped fresh veggies, no sauce. It is in the produce section. The entire bag is something like 120 cals. Low cal/low sodium soy sauce is 10 cal for 2 tablespoons. Cooking spray (instead of oil) is 0 cals.
It was AH-MAZE-ING. Totes perfect for a guilt free binge (or mostly guilt free) if you want Chinese style food. I did add in extra carrots and 3 ounces of chicken breast.
120 + 10 + 35 + 100 = 265 calories. For all of it. I ate half.
And anyone that tells you the "US was founded as a Xtain country!" is either lying to you or needs to read a book on history that isn't skewed to protect whyte feelings.
genuinely hope to see the fall of christianity as a global power some day in my lifetime
belief on an individual level, whatever that's fine, but do not act as if christianity's influence and doctrine is not a heavy hand behind some of the most evil governmental decisions being wrought upon people at this very moment (anti-trans bills, don't say gay bills, roe vs. wade repeal, etc)
people who are not christian are being forced to live by christian standards and under christian rules and that isn't right
I just read an amazing book. Eating While Black by Psyche A. Williams-Forson. It delves into the racism regarding food. I learned a lot of new information in regards to racism and anti-racism.
psa to everyone on antipsychotics during the summertime
some antipsychotics can make you more susceptible to heat exhaustion because they make it so your body cannot regulate your body temperature correctly. I learned this the hard way last summer, I got really nasty heat exhaustion while on a high dose of quetiapine. so check if your meds react badly to heat, and if they do, please be sure to wear your sunscreen, have light cover ups on or with you, wear a hat, and stay hydrated! be safe
Craving spaghetti? This shit right here. 40 calories per package. I use a very heavy (as in a lot of spices) sauce (tomato) with a lot of garlic, basil and oregano.
Cut the tomatoes in halves or quarters, depending on the size.
Roast the tomato (or a few grape ones) flesh side up on a sheet pan at 450 degrees F (232 C) for 30 minutes.
You can use the tomatoes as is, mash them, or blend them (like in a blender).
What kind of tomatoes?
Campari tomatoes. These are my personal favorite.
Plum tomatoes
Roma tomatoes
Cherry or grape tomatoes. Can be roasted whole, if you prefer.
