This next book is about doing something heroic and it makes me wonder - have you ever been in a situation where you had to do something heroic? It doesn't have to be epic. For instance, I once saw a guy stalking a girl who was crossing the dark hotel parking lot to her car late at night. He was clearly following her and trying not to be noticed. I ran up to her and acted like she was someone I knew. Loudly. She was confused at first but I kept insisting I knew her until I was sure the guy had left the area, then I told her what I saw. Throwback to my trip to Dublin! I went over Thanksgiving and got to take part in the lighting of the Christmas tree at Temple Bar. That's a mostly-inebriated me with a cup of hot mulled wine listening to the Trad music with the crowd. That was a wonderful trip. I need to go back!
