(flashgame upd8 mini-fic. I don't like the headcanon that Terezi would just stop being Terezi just because of Karkat? She would still be vital and living, but she can wait for him for as long as it took.)

Terezi sat by Karkat, her eyes shaded beneath her bright red hood. Waiting for him to wake up so she could talk to him, teal tears began to slowly well up in her ruined eyes. She'd waited so long. Waited for him to grow up, for him to realize how much he meant to her...

And she was so tired of waiting. Dave was confusing, she was never sure where they were. Moirails, matesprits, it didn't really matter. He wasn't the right flavor, and besides, there would always be someone in between them.

Gamzee was different. He was so close to Karkat that she couldn't kill him, but she hated him. It was his fault that Karkat didn't have anyone to turn to, didn't have anyone to help him sort out his feelings. Not only that, but Gamzee was a menace to them all. Chaos, lawbreaking, killing, all so different from her order and law. She would hold him in check, nearly the perfect kismesis. 

It wasn't right, none of it was right. It wasn't meant to be like this, she'd seen what was supposed to have been. Tears slowly dripping down her face, she stood up.

She would wait for her Knight to wake up, but she couldn't stop living.
