Usually Macaque wakes up to him if he’s had a nightmare faster than Wukong is able to- but they both tend to be the ones he’ll feel safer around after a nightmare and even get to have a nice cuddle

if it wasn’t clear only the cuff remains when the weapon isn not summoned. Kind of a in-between from completely summon it like macaque and keeping it hidden like wukong does. Also as his shadow powers grows, he will able to extend/stretch/widen the staff more like the normal ruyi bang.

This song has been playing in my mind for months, and every time I listen to it I picture this scene, so I drew it.

It's my first time doing, like, three continues illustrations, so I think it came out pretty good. (though I'll probably won't think that after a month, but oh well:') ).
