All that I remember

All that I remember is that I was falling and fast. I couldnt spread my wings, I felt paralyzed and my vision was fuzzy. I was unable to sense any pain or the air flowing around me. Suddenly everything stopped and I couldnt see any light through my eyelids. I opened my eyes but it was nearly pitch dark. There were occasional faint glimmers. Something was approaching me, I couldnt see it but I wasnt alone.

Quickly I startled awake and realized where I had fallen into. I felt I mmense pain and I hastily started backing off. It was abyss. The place of forever lost souls. The place full of sorrow and chaos, it is the opposite of peace. There was no ground. Anywhere I stepped decayed from existence and I couldnt move. Despite of everything it was too late to struggle.   I covered my face and pulled my legs against my chest. Abyssal darkness was all around me and my eyes started shedding black tears. the tears were running down my pure white muzzle dyeing it pitchblack. It was cold and I was slowly collapsing. I thought the end was near until I started feeling pleasant heat from my chest. I was even more groggy but the feeling on my chest started to intensify and everything turned white. I could hear my ears ringing and I was blinded by the light for a moment. The wind was whirling around me again and I was in the same fall as I was at the beginning, like I never stopped.

Finally the fall had ended and I sank into a lake. I dragged myself on the shore. When the water settled down I saw my reflection and my fur wasnt fully white anymore. Only the parts which I covered had remained white. I had lost white from my eyes. I wasnt pure anymore. I survived from the abyss but I had paid my pureness from it.

The my way

Since I have drawn nearly ten months, I have developed probably a very unique way to do drawing. My computer setup, settings and habits have shaped pretty well to fit how I like them to be. Here I’ll be listing how I have done those things on these past few months.

Setup

I have been using Huion H610 ever since I started drawing digitally. I got 3 monitors, two 1080p 22.5″ screens and philips 43″ 4K monitor which I bought from sale on last (2016) December.

All these gadgets needs dozens of cables and 2 desks to fit in! It was a bit hassle to set these things up, but it was definitely worth of the effort. 43″ 4K monitor is not necessary in any manner at digital art, but hey, it was 550€ and dogdammit I like it a lot. I can connect it to antenna and watch crispy 480p tv broadcasts.

I also got this fancy 5 ft (150cm) mirror which I have used plenty referring myself in drawings. Very helpful to get body proportions and hand anatomy about the right. Also that’s me with Canon PowerShot A800

Here’s my computer which I built 2012 December. It was about 1400€ back then and I have upgraded it a bit.

It has I5-3570K 4.1GHz cpu with evga cooler, GA-H77-D3H Motherboard derp, 16GB Kingston ~1333mhz ddr3 ram, Two used  GTX 660, two 1TB WD HDDs, Samsung Evo 850 128GB, 500W Nexus PSU, Antec 300 atx case and Asus blu-ray r/rw.

Here’s my computer view when I am drawing. I run Arch Linux with xfce4 desktop environment. Krita as art program, Firefox as webrowser, htop and nvidia settings computer load monitoring and FFmpeg to record the screen. 4G internet connection is tethered via phone using dhcpcd. Kampus’ Corner

Hello! This is side ramble blog of Justcampus.tumblr.com The idea of this blog is just archive some of my toughts and conclusions about generally everything. So this will be again one of those terribly boring vlog blogs where you’ll see only blog updates. My main blog is meant to be mainly my personal art so it felt a good idea to make side blog where I can post non art stuff. It won’t be anything interesting. I believe few first posts will be extremely geeky stuff, so hopefully I won’t cringe you too much.
