In this art shes about 9 sweeps here but she lives for a longggg time. She ends up being a tad younger than the GHB in the end. She dies during the Vast Glub.

Premte is on the surface warm and inviting. She has a certain motherly charm to her trolls arent use to, leading them to place more faith in her than they generally would any other troll. Underneath her surface however she is conniving and condescending, believing that her goals are the most important and doing anything to achieve them. That includes manipulating the following she has amassed to be her bidding.

Shes a purple blooded troll closely related to the clown church. She sort of works under the GHB but in a different “sector” of the church. Premte is not focused on subjuggulation as much as she is enforcing control over the other blood types by insuring there is always a good amount of highbloods being born.

Despite not being the priest of the clown church she is a strong believer. Her placement in the church isn’t earned, her ancestry insures that when she is born she immediately goes into training to prepare her for her place inside the cult.

Under the HIC’s command she runs a brothel type establishment ensuring that high-ranking officials (ie. Highbloods and the occasional wealthy midblood) can consistently fill their pail so HIC isn’t down an army come collection season.

Premte and the GHB share a very platonic hatred of one another. The GHB “fears” she will attempt to usurp his power and Premte fears that the GHB will rid her of her role in the Church, taking away her birth given title. While Premte has no desire to be the priestess of the Church directly she would support any powerful purple blood attempting to take GHB role from him in an attempt to retain her own power. Having someone she can trust/manipulate in the highest possible position for a purple blood is extremely interesting to her.

The hatred between GHB and Premte is manufactured partly. The HIC fearing a revolt if the Church ever decides to team up instilled feelings of tension within the Church itself to guarantee that never happens

On top of the brothel she also spreads her messages via media!! The people that work underneath her (mostly various low-ranking purple bloods plus a ton of jadebloods) insure that her message of love and lust is spread throughout the various planets adult trolls are saddled on. Her outreach includes a good portion of film industry, modeling/magazines, the arts etc. Basically anything to encourage trolls to fill their quadrants.

She’s basically made to make trolls fill their pails in a slightly gentler way than drones. She represents a different level of being in a dictatorship that includes keeping the population under control and brainwashed. Premte herself has been raised since birth to inherit her job, meaning she is incredibly brainwashed herself. She keeps the HIC “fed” with a constant supply of new wrigglers to convert into soliders

She also is in close relations with the school-feeding system in which she plants propaganda into the minds of children.

Despite being all about meddling in others quadrants her concupiscent quads are pretty empty. Other than occasional red/black flings she doesn’t get much. She shares occasional red/black flings with Her Imperial Condensation but it’s an on and off deal because of their mutual responsibilities.

Her pale quadrant is the most steadily filled. She is very quiet and closed off about her conciliatory quads and who is in them. Even though she has multiple pale lovers over the course of her extremely long life she is very loyal to them. They usually only part after death in which Premte takes several sweeps to grieve.

Her dancestor/beforus version works as an actress, similar to Porrim she is an activist. Mostly she works to encourage pailing positivity. She doesn’t really do it as a genuine activism thing she’s just a freak. She snoops around in the dancestors quads but never gets herself settled around in one.

She does have Damara in the Pale quad, being one of the reasons she doesn’t go totally off the rails. (She did embolden her to murder Meenah however.)

when Porrim recontextualises the caste system as an extension of the patriarchy i wonder how much of that was in immediate response to the fandom's refusal to engage with any of Homestuck's preexisting feminist themes? when she refers to Alternia as "superficially matriarchal" how much of that was aimed directly at the readers who had been made so uncomfortable by the idea that there was misogyny among the trolls - a species who, mind you, were literally made to represent the toxic culture of the internet during that era* - that they decided Karkat's derisive comments toward "games for girls" were actually aimed at extreme sports? not that any of it even seemed to matter when readership expressed such disdain for anything any of the alpha trolls represented that they made Cronus one of Porrim's most popular ships

*and just how much of this breakdown in communication can be chalked up to differences in background? I know the whole “blood color = skin color” thing is a pretty divisive headcanon but honestly I rlly like it. I know ppl r usually like “well that means karkat would be caught right away” but I honestly view it as a thing that develops when they age similar to the whole eye color changing thing. It just adds another layer of “Karkat was always doomed if he stayed on alternia”.
