I see people found my Grenda epilogue to @modmad's Sock Opera comic again.

So while I really enjoyed this comic by ModMad, the ending was killing me because it was just so darn depressing. Doodled this to make me feel a bit better and also because I love Grenda and her canon freakish strength.

Having "a lot" of followers on tumblr is funny because probably 80% of them are ghost blogs who haven't been on here in like a decade.

It's like, no no, those aren't my followers, that's a graveyard! I'm the caretaker of a thousands of tombs. I love them, but they've been dead for seven years.

Whistling as I trim the hedge and pull the weeds throughout my massive cemetery, occasionally telling humorous stories or showing animation clips to the spirits of Tumblr-past. Once in a while an actual human visitor shows up and gives me a lil spook.

For any Mortal Kombat fans out there, especially the ladies, this is an adventure, suspense, romance spanning a bit of every aspect of the MK lore from the OG 1992 game (and accompanying comic by John Tobias) up until MK11's Aftermath and MK Onslaught. And I gotta say, I am having a blast with it.

By the by, everyone is freaking out over the lighting, but I have to highlight the FRAMING in this clip. Every single shot is beautifully and dynamically framed but one of the greatest moments that conveys eeeeeverything you need to know about Germs is a very simple and yet incredibly unique shot here:

This framing is INCREDIBLE. The camera is mounted right flush against the door at this low angle to show in phenomenal detail, both visually and psychologically, where Germs' mind is at all times. Then later his comment about the hospital and "sick people" double-taps what has already been embedded in our minds from this framed shot. Even the way the bar blocks out his face at the end to perfectly transition from one space to the next.

It doesn't look like much, but I have worked with many illustrators, story boarders, and artists, and most in the industry these days can't even think in this manner, let alone pull off a shot like this without being hand-walked through it.

Batman: The Animated Series survives because of the talent and passion of every person working on it. From the writers to the boarders to the animators to the colorists. Everyone actually loved what they were working on. This perfectly illustrates our current creative dearth with the phrase: You Can't Pay People to Care. Everyone working on Batman: TAS cared.

I had no idea Clayface from BTAS was one of Ron Perlman's early roles. I imagine he must have enjoyed it since he continues to take many voice acting gigs

And now, of course as usually happens, I am enjoying the Mario compilations from Terminalmontage that make very little sense unless you're aware of the Pannenkoek2012 video.
