A Nice Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Part Seventeen
F.E.C.G.
Furiko Enterprise Combat Group, or F.E.C.G. For short, it a government force that takes care of more dangerous tasks that a normal police force can’t take care of. Like for example, a monster attacking a street. Since the strength of a monster can likely kill a normally equipped officer at the time, a Slasher is dispatched from the force to take care of it. Some others are taken as a squad to make reporting and driving a more considerable easier task on the spot. The only real active group in the country is the one in Furiko City, where starting January. Monsters started showing up out of nowhere, and have strange quirks that can kill a person or two. A Slashers in the combat force uses a government issued Driver named the F.E.C.G. Driver. A Driver that is so massed produced, it’s likely the Driver with the most copies of it. With the added effect of it being considered the weakest Driver, this had it caused most potential people to be turned down because of the high strength expectation to make up for the weakness. This didn’t stop Yushingo since the high requirement was added after his acceptance into the force. Meaning he was immune to this, but decided to see if he can pass it for shits and giggles. He passed with extremely flying colors. Destroying the model they used because of the excessive training he did to himself after each monster attack.
A report would be done after they return from a case to log everything they had done in the past. Normally this would be done automatically, but Kuria, one of the report writers, would write down on paper with her neat handwriting and hand it over to prove it was not A.I. generated from the start. She hates that kind for being lazy and unoriginal, but is not opposed to beings such as Anexa, since her A.I. Is sentient and self thinking as a whole, and not based off human programming beyond the basic principals from which her model was based from. Regardless their main purpose is to gain as much info on the battlefield as possible, and make a very detailed report. Kuria’s mind is very open, meaning she has a good time writing these down on paper.
Shelter isn’t a free thing once you’re in the force, so the employees have to provide themselves. Fortunately, Kuria and Yushingo live in Seisen’s apartment, the owner is the same person who teaches Class 2E in Furiko High.

A Nice Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Part Sixteen
Alter Beasts
Alter Beasts are the monsters of the series. When we mean monsters, we’ve been saying the Alter Beast were attacking the city, and just this city alone. No other city or prefecture on either side has notified F.E.C.G. At all of these creature attacking them, but still in case of an emergency, each force has a Slasher per city. Getting back on track, the most common way an Alter Beast can be detected is by cameras hidden throughout the city, while it’s used to detect denizens and make personalized ads. It’s also used for crime prevention and detecting the monsters on the streets, they can appear and attack randomly so a 24/7 crew of watchers are enlisted to detect them. When one of them spots the monster, the force is dispatched and Yushingo takes care of the monster. Or the Xross Driver users in the case they find one of the monsters F.E.C.G. Detected on the cameras. While they have no known origin, they do have one bit of trivia that might give a lead. They look like and resemble the Contract Monsters of those who’ve gone missing for quite a while. Is this a coincidence, who knows?

A Nice Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Part Fifteen
Kuria Sora
Kuria’s the final member of the force Yushingo is apart of. She’s not the latest one as the teamed was formed with them in mind. So she, Yushingo, and Seisen were together since day one. Kuria’s the other serious person in the group The first one being Yushingo, the only Slasher of the group. Her main contributions are her sending the reports of the monster attacks, usually they mention Yushingo. But with his brother now being a Slasher, his name might not even appear on the paper. As she does this for all monsters that have shown up. Meaning that sometimes, monsters appear Yushinhen is not aware of, but Yushingo is. For now, she’s just a messenger and a person Yushingo gets scolded by constantly after his job is done. Particularly thanks to his reckless behavior when dealing with monsters. It’s a simple life she has, and no one knows for sure where she comes from. She just showed up in the HQ of F.E.C.G. and applied for a position there, with no reason to why or even how she got the job. Will she be willing to tell her origins, or are there more hidden secrets to her than truths about her.

A Nice Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Part Fourteen
Seisen Yamikazu
Seisen is has two jobs. One is a simple Teacher at Furiko High, and the other is working as an officer fending off monsters. You can guess which is the more complicated job. To say he has enough time to double down on two separate careers is thanks to all High School having one hour removed from hour modern system. If it wasn’t there, then he’d still be in his other job. Just not as efficiently and he would be fired because of that. (Reminder, they need to be efficient so that the monster can be defeated quickly.) He’s not alone in this job, Yushingo and Kuria are in the same force as him. So when one of the trio comes out, they all come out to the scene. Back in school, he tends to love his job as a teacher well. Particularly because of the shared kindness in his class on Thursdays, the only day he teaches Class 2E. He’s friends with Yushinhen parents because they work in the same place as him, a random piece of trivia that could prove vital for the ongoing plot of the Visual Novel. Could he be vital in the Heroes journey to figure out who’s making the monster, or is there something more to him than we think.

A Nice Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Part Thirteen
Bast Arashi
In simple terms, Bast is Yushinhen’s best friend, they’ve been like that for a long while starting in 2nd grade. Where they first met each other in the first day of that grade, Yushinhen’s mother, Val, prevented him from going to his friend’s home because of her experiences with the Arashi family. In other words, Bast’s parents mocked Val a lot, and that’s the main reason why Bast meets him at the door and instead of moving inside the house. He’s also one of the few people that try to nudge Yushinhen into getting a Contract Monster, as on the same day he met Yushinhen, Bast told him the festival was coming soon and it was going to be tons of more fun with a Contract Monster. I think we can tell he’s a fortune teller because what happened that same day. One sure note is that Bast does have a Contract Monster, to him it’s because his mother told him not to show to the public or there will be a major panic in the city. He’s not to phased, but he obligates for his mother’s sake. Regardless, he chooses to stick to the sidelines cheering instead of running like the other more sensical people do. Now is that a coincidence, or does Bast has more tricks up his sleeve?

Part Twelve of Explaining Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Yushingo Tokugo | Lusting Hero
Yushingo is Yushinhen’s older brother Therefore they share the same father, but not the same mother. Yushingo’s already an adult working on the front lines at F.E.C.G. A police force dedicated to stopping assaults by Contract Monsters that are deemed to dangerous to stay around. He’s a Slasher dedicated to deal with the recent monster attacks in the city. This is usually an easy job for him with usually one monster per week showing up, however there are occasions where more than one monster shows up on their radar. In this case he usually deals with them fast as Furiko City lacks another active Slasher. (Prior to Yushinhen’s first transformation.) Of course now with Yushinhen as a Slasher, the town’s a lot safer and his job had been decreased as a result of the three Xross Driver users making a more efficient way of dealing with the rampant monsters. Can he be able to stop some monsters, or is his duty doomed as the trio become more powerful on their path as Slashers?

Part Eleven of Explaning Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Kuroko Asu | White Warrior
Kuroko’s a shy kid due to some unfortunate circumstances that led to people looking at him like a superstar. Quite thanks to his family being literal superstars. His parent’s are both famous in both the music and acting industry, and his sister is an idol all on her own. Belonging to a totally different idol group that she is a lone member of, and people love her for that. But due to this, and his young age. Thanks to this, some people purely talk to him with the only intent to ask what’s his relation and job in the family, and he’s used to it as of this day. However, this made him isolate himself to prevent others from asking that embarrassing and obvious question. This changed one week when he was wandering around bored, and Witchcrafter Genni asked what a driver was. He knew what one was thanks to prior knowledge and his position of owning one of the three Xross Drivers, the final one that was given by his teacher. He was not going to use it as he had no intention until later that same day where a monster had started a fire in a local convenience store. Where he had to reveal that he’s going to transform to Bast, causing him to witness the first transformation of White Warrior. Kuroko’s Slasher identity. Can Kuroko use this Driver to raise his identity, or will he keep silent and join the heroes side.

Part Ten of Explaining Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Aruka Shimasen | Crafty Witch
Aruka Shimasen is a lonely girl who was just allowed to enter into Furiko High. This is strange because her parent’s are known travelers, at least until an incident that caused her to be contracted with a special illness. With a single cure that only the Witchcrafters know, because they’re the ones who made it in the first place as a defense mechanism. After curing Aruka, they gave her Aruru and demanded she return back home and never returned. So, as a precaution, they made her stay in the house, with little time or reason for her to go outside with fresh air. She had no way of leaving the house until the day she met Yushinhen for the first time. Here, her parent’s finally conceded and enrolled her in Furiko High, the common school teens go to in Furiko City. She was a 2nd year in High school, so she ended up in Class 2-E. The same class that Yushinhen, Bast, and Kuroko are in, as well as their teacher Mr. Yamikazu. hours after she was introduced to the class, she was forced into a conflict between a monster and herself. Before that event occurred, she had been gifted the Xross Driver. Where she found a use for this situation and it allowed her to transform into Crafty Witch. Where it paired well combat wise with Yushinhen’s 2nd Xross Up form. Who knows if she can meet up with the Witchcrafters again, or is her Contract Monster barred from seeing her master again.

Part Nine of Explaning Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Yushinhen Tokugo | Golden Tokugo
Yushinhen Tokugo is a 15 Year old boy born in Furiko City, his parents are from different halves of Staria, so he has American and Japanese ethnicity. One of his traits is him treating Contract Monsters like they have sentient thought. While they are in fact free thinking creatures, most of their mind is suppressed to prevent the Contract Monster from randomly attacking the owner. This is also to gives the monster the ability to speak, as some do have the ability but some do not. Consequently this caused Yushinhen to reject the idea of having a Contract Monster, as he had no opportunity and saw no necessity on why he should have one in the first place. At least, that’s what was on his mind for the first few moments of his life until he met Felgrand Dragon for the first time. Seeing him in an injured state, he saw this opportunity to save his life from death’s door. As a Contract Monster without an owner is vulnerable to death. Anexa said the only way to save his life was by making him his Contract Monster, he reluctantly agreed and made him his first Contract Monster of many he will have in the foreseeable episodes. This sigh of relief of him saving a life would not last for long. As a monster was near his house, and the reason why Felgrand nearly died. Not taking up on the chance of him dying once more, he ran to confront the monster and fight him alone. (Unaware of the consequences of him getting killed.) When Felgrand told him not to fight, Anexa slid the Xross Driver that was left behind by Yushingo after his failed transformation, and he saw what needed to be done. He took the Driver and slapped it on his waist, and with a couple of movements, he transformed into Golden Felgrand for the first time.

Small little interuppt in the weekly posting.
Nothing to major, just wanted to show a little Link to a wiki that's in development. It's mostly based on the Kamen Rider wiki since I wanted to have some of the colored title bars on the certain locations. Check it here it's incomplete for now but... art is something this fan-series lacks and needs some so...

Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers Explanation Part Seven
The next area to be covered is Furiko High, the high school that students are enrolled into in Furiko City. It’s mostly got the essentials for a school to function, classroom, gym, library, cafeteria, and other stuff that a school needs is here. It’s curriculum is largely the same also, but there’s some key differences that normal schools from our time have. And that’s it largely being a result of a merger of both American and Japanese school systems. Naturally it has a standard, less strict dress code from our modern day. Only limitations are the no downright nudity rule. And the standard testing, all the jazz from the United States schooling. But where it differs in one major difference in lunch. Normally students just have one place to go and that’s the cafeteria. But new regulation allows for students to be anywhere, given that it’s not a restricted area meant for either teachers and dedicated testing rooms. Since the great invention of the food generator, it’s been easy access for those not lucky to bring lunch. But since it’s has a poor taste and unappetizing look, this made students bring in their own lunch. Essentially marking the rise of Bento Boxes in the United Portion of Staria. One other difference is a new school year starts in January. Summer break is not affected and lasts through the last week of June to the first week of September. Afterwards, a nice recap occurs where students are caught up, and exams happen in October. Holidays are kind of here, the students get certain holiday breaks like Winter and Spring break, as well as Golden week, but with a day cut short for no reason whatsoever.

Part Six of Explaining Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Staria, the home country of the main heroes and villains, is a futuristic place given the time period this Visual Novel takes place in. Due to it’s size the city Furiko City, the city Yushinhen and his current friends and foes live in, it’s really a tiny portion of the actual offerings this entire country has to offer. But this city being a small one and a new one doesn’t mean it’s not important, the opposite in reality. It’s the capital of Staria for it housing the current and most unique leader, Furiko Enterprise. No mistake, a company is leading the country, as it’s HQ is it’s equivalent to the White House in our time (To which fun fact, it still exists). Mainly serving as the home of the CEO, with by extension the leader of this country, and his family. Including his soon to be publicly revealed son and wife to the public. There has been rumors saying this man is a golden child, but we’ll see what plays out when we do first see him.

Part Faiz of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Explanation
Xross Up is a simple mechanic introduced in the Xross Driver, it’s the defining factor that created the name for the Driver. Typically it’s the exclusive feature to the Driver but there may be some scenarios where other Drivers can use the Xross Up functionality. But development of the Xross Driver had been completed rather prematurely, so that will have to wait for the foreseeable future. One notable trait of Xross Up is that it allows the user to combine with additional Contract Monster on top of their existent Transformation they have. This can be done with up to four Contract Monsters, and in special cases, five. But the special case has yet to be seen in official media. It’s a tool that allows for certain abilities to be gained by the Contract Cards. For example, when Golden Felgrand Xross Ups with Kidmodo Dragon. He gains a vest and a claw styled weapon, this allows for sword type melee action that normally would be considered dangerous on some occasions. It gives the Slasher an updated appearance plus a new weapon to coincide with it. As mentioned earlier, the Xross Up mechanic allows for up to four Contract Monsters to be utilized in a Slasher’s form, Let’s see an example. Crafty Witch Xrosses Up with Witchcrafter Genni, Pittore, Schimietta, and Potterie. It grants her an updated appearances, giving her an aura on each of her four limbs representing an element for each of the four monsters, plus updating the appearance of the Hammer thingy with a new part for each of the Witchcrafter’s element being added on. This can be a powerful tool, especially when combining the right monsters with the right people. There was a good call in the creation of this system by Seisen.

Fourth Part to the whole Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Slashers are the vital reason for this world’s safety, without them, various disasters could cause the end of humanity as we know it. They aren’t as old as time it self, but exist long before Staria existed as a country. All they need is just a Driver and a Contract Monster, and they’re set. Not much to note except for when they henshin, they gain traits from the Contract Monster they used for transformation. For example, Crafty Witch gains Aruru’s hammer thingy when transformed, this facilitates for both her main attack style and her Xross Ups, with mostly reside in the hammer object she holds when transformed. Another could be Lusting Hero, where he gains the sword and shield of his Contract Monster, Black Luster Soldier. Although this is a benefit to where it lacks as Yushingo Tokugo, the current user of Black Luster Soldier has the F.E.C.G. Drivers, one of the weakest Drivers currently existing. Sometimes the user would have a weapon built in with the Driver, however that has yet to be shown in an official manner.

Third part to Yu-Gi-Oh! Slasher's explanation... Now with more lore.
Drivers are the mandatory tool to transform. Without one, the Slasher cannot exist in their primary form. It can be in any shape or form, or really any size for that matter. It can be made by anyone, it’s technology isn’t restricted to Furiko Enterprise, the ones who pushed the Contract Monster agenda in the first place. But for now, all Drivers we say today are made by someone related to Furiko Enterprise. The usual tools for it to function is just one, a Contract Card. That’s all there is to the requirements and nothing else. A key example of a Driver is the Xross Driver, developed by Seisen Yamikazu. It’s goal is just to function as a normal Driver, except with a special function built in. Xross Ups, something that this driver can do and nothing else can, except for when it comes to newer Driver made after this Driver. Another Driver that can be used as an example is the F.E.C.G. Driver, while it lacks any special ability. It does make up in the fact it’s supposed to be mass produced, it’s main goal is to be the Driver that F.E.C.G. Slashers used. Because of the lack of a boost or any additional function, the Slasher must rely on the Contract Monster they have to do make somewhat of an impact. Overall there really isn’t much notable to the Driver other than it’s near availability for someone who wants to become a Slashers. Being not restricted to one user is a trait to all Drivers, but an important value to it.

The Second Part to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers Explanation
Again Let me know what you think of this, and again. Thanks for reading this loooooooong post So yes as I said before, the Contract Monsters are used in the Driver to transform into a Slasher. This does not mean that a person HAS own the Contract Monster’s respective Contract Card to transform. Figure 1 shows Felgrand Dragon’s Contract Card as an example, and let’s just point out the obvious, his name, portrait, and type are displayed, along with other key detail that’s somewhat vital to the technology behind it. The Level, Attack, and Defense serve no purpose for now. But that might change when future events occur after I release this document. But the Owner, Slasher, and Xross-Up are important to understand. A fourth section will be mentioned, but isn’t relevant for now, this is called the effect, and will play an important role with an upcoming character you’ll meet down the line. The first is owner, this section contains the Contract Monster’s Contract Card’s current holder. On the filled in section, we see Yushinhen Tokugo, the current holder of Felgrand Dragon’s Contract Card. This can change if Yushinhen decides to either lend it to a friend, or permanently hand it down to his future child that doesn’t exist yet. Either way that would cause it to change to that friend or child’s name in the place of Yushinhen. Moving on, we have the second section, Slasher, a simple one as this is the permanent name given to Yushinhen’s Slasher Form. It cannot be changed. The third and final section is the Xross-Up one, where it’s the same case with the second for the name, but it’s exclusive to certain drivers that support it. One final thing is that if a Contract Card were to be destroyed, the monster paired with it would die. Another way for a Contract Monster to die is their current owner passes away by any circumstances, other than that they are essentially immortal beings with thought. Who can speak and think for themselves if they wanted, or if the owner wanted to instead.
