Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers Explanation Part Seven
The next area to be covered is Furiko High, the high school that students are enrolled into in Furiko City. It’s mostly got the essentials for a school to function, classroom, gym, library, cafeteria, and other stuff that a school needs is here. It’s curriculum is largely the same also, but there’s some key differences that normal schools from our time have. And that’s it largely being a result of a merger of both American and Japanese school systems. Naturally it has a standard, less strict dress code from our modern day. Only limitations are the no downright nudity rule. And the standard testing, all the jazz from the United States schooling. But where it differs in one major difference in lunch. Normally students just have one place to go and that’s the cafeteria. But new regulation allows for students to be anywhere, given that it’s not a restricted area meant for either teachers and dedicated testing rooms. Since the great invention of the food generator, it’s been easy access for those not lucky to bring lunch. But since it’s has a poor taste and unappetizing look, this made students bring in their own lunch. Essentially marking the rise of Bento Boxes in the United Portion of Staria. One other difference is a new school year starts in January. Summer break is not affected and lasts through the last week of June to the first week of September. Afterwards, a nice recap occurs where students are caught up, and exams happen in October. Holidays are kind of here, the students get certain holiday breaks like Winter and Spring break, as well as Golden week, but with a day cut short for no reason whatsoever.

Part Six of Explaining Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Staria, the home country of the main heroes and villains, is a futuristic place given the time period this Visual Novel takes place in. Due to it’s size the city Furiko City, the city Yushinhen and his current friends and foes live in, it’s really a tiny portion of the actual offerings this entire country has to offer. But this city being a small one and a new one doesn’t mean it’s not important, the opposite in reality. It’s the capital of Staria for it housing the current and most unique leader, Furiko Enterprise. No mistake, a company is leading the country, as it’s HQ is it’s equivalent to the White House in our time (To which fun fact, it still exists). Mainly serving as the home of the CEO, with by extension the leader of this country, and his family. Including his soon to be publicly revealed son and wife to the public. There has been rumors saying this man is a golden child, but we’ll see what plays out when we do first see him.

Part Faiz of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! Explanation
Xross Up is a simple mechanic introduced in the Xross Driver, it’s the defining factor that created the name for the Driver. Typically it’s the exclusive feature to the Driver but there may be some scenarios where other Drivers can use the Xross Up functionality. But development of the Xross Driver had been completed rather prematurely, so that will have to wait for the foreseeable future. One notable trait of Xross Up is that it allows the user to combine with additional Contract Monster on top of their existent Transformation they have. This can be done with up to four Contract Monsters, and in special cases, five. But the special case has yet to be seen in official media. It’s a tool that allows for certain abilities to be gained by the Contract Cards. For example, when Golden Felgrand Xross Ups with Kidmodo Dragon. He gains a vest and a claw styled weapon, this allows for sword type melee action that normally would be considered dangerous on some occasions. It gives the Slasher an updated appearance plus a new weapon to coincide with it. As mentioned earlier, the Xross Up mechanic allows for up to four Contract Monsters to be utilized in a Slasher’s form, Let’s see an example. Crafty Witch Xrosses Up with Witchcrafter Genni, Pittore, Schimietta, and Potterie. It grants her an updated appearances, giving her an aura on each of her four limbs representing an element for each of the four monsters, plus updating the appearance of the Hammer thingy with a new part for each of the Witchcrafter’s element being added on. This can be a powerful tool, especially when combining the right monsters with the right people. There was a good call in the creation of this system by Seisen.

Fourth Part to the whole Explanation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers!
Slashers are the vital reason for this world’s safety, without them, various disasters could cause the end of humanity as we know it. They aren’t as old as time it self, but exist long before Staria existed as a country. All they need is just a Driver and a Contract Monster, and they’re set. Not much to note except for when they henshin, they gain traits from the Contract Monster they used for transformation. For example, Crafty Witch gains Aruru’s hammer thingy when transformed, this facilitates for both her main attack style and her Xross Ups, with mostly reside in the hammer object she holds when transformed. Another could be Lusting Hero, where he gains the sword and shield of his Contract Monster, Black Luster Soldier. Although this is a benefit to where it lacks as Yushingo Tokugo, the current user of Black Luster Soldier has the F.E.C.G. Drivers, one of the weakest Drivers currently existing. Sometimes the user would have a weapon built in with the Driver, however that has yet to be shown in an official manner.

Third part to Yu-Gi-Oh! Slasher's explanation... Now with more lore.
Drivers are the mandatory tool to transform. Without one, the Slasher cannot exist in their primary form. It can be in any shape or form, or really any size for that matter. It can be made by anyone, it’s technology isn’t restricted to Furiko Enterprise, the ones who pushed the Contract Monster agenda in the first place. But for now, all Drivers we say today are made by someone related to Furiko Enterprise. The usual tools for it to function is just one, a Contract Card. That’s all there is to the requirements and nothing else. A key example of a Driver is the Xross Driver, developed by Seisen Yamikazu. It’s goal is just to function as a normal Driver, except with a special function built in. Xross Ups, something that this driver can do and nothing else can, except for when it comes to newer Driver made after this Driver. Another Driver that can be used as an example is the F.E.C.G. Driver, while it lacks any special ability. It does make up in the fact it’s supposed to be mass produced, it’s main goal is to be the Driver that F.E.C.G. Slashers used. Because of the lack of a boost or any additional function, the Slasher must rely on the Contract Monster they have to do make somewhat of an impact. Overall there really isn’t much notable to the Driver other than it’s near availability for someone who wants to become a Slashers. Being not restricted to one user is a trait to all Drivers, but an important value to it.

The Second Part to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers Explanation
Again Let me know what you think of this, and again. Thanks for reading this loooooooong post So yes as I said before, the Contract Monsters are used in the Driver to transform into a Slasher. This does not mean that a person HAS own the Contract Monster’s respective Contract Card to transform. Figure 1 shows Felgrand Dragon’s Contract Card as an example, and let’s just point out the obvious, his name, portrait, and type are displayed, along with other key detail that’s somewhat vital to the technology behind it. The Level, Attack, and Defense serve no purpose for now. But that might change when future events occur after I release this document. But the Owner, Slasher, and Xross-Up are important to understand. A fourth section will be mentioned, but isn’t relevant for now, this is called the effect, and will play an important role with an upcoming character you’ll meet down the line. The first is owner, this section contains the Contract Monster’s Contract Card’s current holder. On the filled in section, we see Yushinhen Tokugo, the current holder of Felgrand Dragon’s Contract Card. This can change if Yushinhen decides to either lend it to a friend, or permanently hand it down to his future child that doesn’t exist yet. Either way that would cause it to change to that friend or child’s name in the place of Yushinhen. Moving on, we have the second section, Slasher, a simple one as this is the permanent name given to Yushinhen’s Slasher Form. It cannot be changed. The third and final section is the Xross-Up one, where it’s the same case with the second for the name, but it’s exclusive to certain drivers that support it. One final thing is that if a Contract Card were to be destroyed, the monster paired with it would die. Another way for a Contract Monster to die is their current owner passes away by any circumstances, other than that they are essentially immortal beings with thought. Who can speak and think for themselves if they wanted, or if the owner wanted to instead.

The first part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Slashers! being explained... Even though I don't have art, yikes.
This is just a small portion of a whole document I'm working on. Let me know what you think, it's the synopsis and nothing else. In the world of Slashers, the earth here is in the year 2050. Where we’ve mostly have made improvements to the technology that we already had, and some new ones. A big inventions for a long while is the Contract Card, where a person could take a monster and claim it as their own. Note these beings have free will and once contracted they are known as Contract Monsters. They can be used in a large variety of ways, like chores, cooking, or even shopping. But one very known notable use for them is it’s conjunction with a Driver, where a normal human can combine with a Contract Monster and fight without some issues. Normally this is done by Furiko Enterprise Combat Group (F.E.C.G.) for combating the Alter Beasts, strange monsters appearing out of nowhere for unknown reasons. One of these Drivers end up in Yushinhen’s hand, a boy with initially no Contract Monster until his first meeting with Felgrand a Golden Dragon with a lost brother. Can he, his friends, and F.E.C.G. Stop the monsters, or are there more within those creatures.
