Update on the superhero au fic! I now have rough drafts for 3 chapters! That said, I once more underestimated how many chapters I would need to tell the story I have planned, so I'm onto working on a forth chapter that'll hopefully finish up the fic.

The three chapters I have atm are approximately a combined 23 700 words long. This is a chonker of a fic.

Red Riding Hood: Being a werewolf is great! The other wolves have totally accepted me as one of their own. I don't have a curfew, I can run around outside all day without Mama scolding me about tearing my dress, I can hunt without a license --

Arthur: Wait, what?

Red Riding Hood: What?

I feel like there would be a difference in the vibe between Merlin and Arthur arguing versus Jack and Arthur arguing.

Merlin and Arthur I think are meant to be rivals (though I also hc them as half-brothers or maybe step-brothers). They're competitive. They're constantly trying to one-up each other. If they're arguing, it's usually about something dumb and, for the most part, it just annoys everybody around them.

But if Jack and Arthur are arguing, it's because they genuinely don't agree on something. Jack doesn't seem like the kind of guy to lose his temper easily (although he definitely annoys easily), but if anyone can really push his buttons it's Arthur. They'll bicker about the dumb stuff, sure, but if they're actually fighting they've been known to make their other roommates uncomfortable and leave.

Merlin and Hans end up tag teaming as the mediator. The triplets just make it worse.

take the fearless 7, put them in a jar and shake them, dump them out, they are now in one of your favorite shows. how's that working out for them?

Oh great question!

One of my favorite shows at the moment is Arcane.

And I think for the triplets, Hans, Jack and Merlin it's working out pretty well.

(There are spoilers in case you haven't seen the series, if you don't mind you can read on)

I mean we are talking about a fantastic and magical universe with a Steampunk setting and full of adventure.

I think they fit well into this world and the narrative of the show. Now I think this world has enough ability to divide the team.

Seeing the social issues, inequality, systematic oppression and corruption, I'm sure the triplets would support the Firelights, they have would improve the quality of life for the Zaunites.

Hans will also come to assimilate the Zaun cause but it will take him more time.

Jack for a while would be part of Piltover, I can even imagine him on the council.

And for me Merlin would be conflicted, on the one hand I see him wanting to be in Piltover and be in the academy, learning from the magic of this world even if it is in secret. But on the other hand he knows of the injustices and corruption that Piltover exerts on Zaun, as time goes by he will want the best for Zaun too.

And Arthur pppfff I can't imagine him having a good time in this world.

I had an interesting conversation with a friend about an arcane au and she made me see that Arthur doesn't fit in either city.

And since arcane is based on Runeterra from the League of Legends universe, he would be a Noxus soldier.

So maybe he has been influenced by Ambessa and wants to be part of her army? Idk

Made a post about this scenario a while ago, so here’s a very belated lyrics comic because the concept intrigued me.

Fun fact, I was originally planning to do the whole song! But then I got realistic about it and stuck to the first part, and that still took me a while to finish. Making comics are the bane of my existence (<- spends way to much time on each panel). Might still do some doodles based on other ideas I had for later part of the song (especially the last lines!), but I can’t promise anything tbh.

A four page comic.

The first page of a four page comic of Arthur from Red shoes and the seven dwarfs and my oc Edda (A pale chubby woman, with deep eyebags, dark hair and grey eyes), specifically from my villain!Edda au. The comic is drawn in black and warm greys, save for the dialogue which is written out in light pink with the occasional red for Edda and gold for Arthur. The first panel shows Arthur walking through a forest in the night with a cloak on his back, a title card to the left of him reading (sans punctuation) “Wouldn’t you like. Lyrics from Epic by Jorge Rivera-Herrans (slight edits by Cookieek)”. The three following panels shows him walking though the forrest holding a carefully neutral expression as red laughter starts to sound around him. A pigeon lands on a branch near him on the second panel, observing him, his profile reflected in it’s eye in the third. In the fourth Arthur is surrounded by the laughter as the full moon shines down on him and the trees seem to lean toward him. In the fifth panel someone starts speaking from out of frame, saying “I must say what a brilliant speech you gave”, making him freeze. In the final panel Arthur looks to the side, hand moving towards his sword, asking “Who goes there?”.

The second page of the comic. In the first panel, Arthur looks to the side as the voice continues speaking, saying “Just a friend who could help you save your men” , the bird looks at him in the background. In the second and third panel the bird lifts up from the branch it landed on and sweeps over Arthur’s head, the noise of it leaving the branch making him turn towards the tree. Meanwhile th voice is still talking, saying “A foe like Circe is not to be messed with. You want to beat her? You’ll need the blessing of a certain magician.” In the fourth panel Arthur turns back towards the birds destination as it lands on an outstretched gloved hand of someone standing amongst the trees, the voice in the background saying “Divine intervention, someone who’s not afraid too…”. The final panel shows Edda, slightly hunched over dressed in her robe with her hood up, throwing shadows over the upper part of her face. She still has the pigeon resting on her finger as she grins maliciously at the viewer, finishing her sentence with “send a message.”

The third page of the comic. In the first panel Arthur looks surprised, but has a slight blush, letting out a confused “Edda?”. Edda just laughs again in the second panel, the pigeon once more taking flight. In the third panel she points at Arthur (with her belt, pouch and dagger(which is strapped across the back of her belt) now visible as well), the background a swirl centred around the tip of her finger, saying “Wouldn't you like a taste of the power? Wouldn't you like to use more than words?” [The word power red and laying like a bridge over her pointing finger]. She continues talking in the following panel which shows her torso down from behind (showing her baggy pants under the robe and large leather boots) with Arthur looking at her in the background, looking a bit less tense then before. She says, “Deep in the night, the fight lasts for hours.” The last second panels shows her gesturing as she speaks, saying “You can be hurt” [hurt in all caps, underlined and coloured in red] while swiping a thumb across her neck, a red line following the movement with the word “be” under it. She then says “or you can beat her!” [beat in all caps and coloured in red], while clenching her fist. She’s grinning a crooked smile the whole time, baring her gums.

The fourth and final page of the comic. The first panel shows a vial with a root inside being held up in the foreground with Arthur looking down at either it or the viewer still appearing to be a bit taken aback but also mildly curious, as Edda says, “Wouldn't you like to have some of the magic?” [Magic in all caps, coloured in red and written across the vial]. She continues in the second panel with shows her holding up the vial with one hand, while gesturing with the other and grinning at the viewer, saying “Wouldn't you like your outcome preferred?”. She moves toward him in the following panel, her back still hunched and pointing at him, as he cautiously takes a step back, one hand lifted as if he’s considering trying to hold her back. They are both back lit by the full moon and she says “Deep in the night, the fight can be tragic”. The final two panels are drawings of them torso up, one for Edda one for Arthur. Edda has finally straightened up her back grinning triumphantly with her arms out as she gives him her offer, “I'll help you conquer her!” [All of the text is coloured red]. Arthur, though his eyebrows are still lifted in surprise, has a smile on his face, appearing more confident then before as he seems to puff out his chest a little, there’s a small blush on his cheeks. The backgrounds for the two of them consist of lines pulling towards their faces.

In the lower left corner of all of these is a signature reading “Cookieek.
