“I…” Hinata’s words trailed off, whatever thought he had now lost somewhere unimportant. It was like Hinata was fixated on him—his gaze only breaking so that his eyes could flick to Kageyama’s lips.

Kageyama didn’t know why, but something felt different. Maybe it was the drinks or maybe it was because the night had been going so well, but he felt a surge of confidence filter through his body. He brought one of his hands up to brush an orange strand of hair out of the other boy’s face, eyes locked onto the pools of honey brown in front of him.

“I really want to kiss you right now.”

Hinata didn’t protest this time, a challenging look glimmering in his eyes. “Then do it.”

quick update on color theory: school has been eating my free time but i’m finishing finals soon and then i’ll finally have some time to dedicate to it! definitely not abandoning the fic so don’t worry about that ;>
