Completely random but have you read Banana Fish? I feel like you would love Ash Lynx’s character and the relationship he has with Eiji
WHY is that title familiar to me?? I’ll put it on the list, anon.

Ooohh kaer!! since you like laurent and andrew, may i introduce you to our lord and savior the locked tomb series by tamsyn muir? it's a sci-fi mystery with classic fantasy aspects and magic, and one awful horrible girl that would fit in that particular group of characters methinks. shes not blond though
I will consider forgiving her lack of blonde hair and will add it to the list ❤️

to be honest i really liked how batshit insane the "sports... with mafia!" plot of tfc was, it was fun in a Very Horrible kind of way, and sometimes i wish more books would go out of the "is this realistic?" way of thinking to spice things up a bit every once in a while
"is it realistic?" maybe not. but does it serve cunt? tremendously.
other than that, and the characters being amazing (i really like how nora writes characters relationships), both neil and laurent being in the ace spectrum and in lasting romantic relationships make me really happy :) (nora confirmed that neil is demi, and i remember pacat mentioning about laurent somewhere in ye olden days)
Oh I absolutely love it NOW.
When I read something for the first time, I’m often an asshole. Especially if I’m not in just the right mood for it. I was Unimpressed with Capri until about midway through the first book when I realized “oh shit this is complex, actually.”
AftG started life as Nora’s middle school (?) OCs and she’s done an amazing job of developing them. I adore her writing. The bones of “this was an overdramatic super traumatized oc I made up as a kid” are visible but now I love it.

Hi hi!!
Ive never seen an author say they dont read fic from fandoms they write for, is there a particular reason you started doing that? Im curious :>
Hi Anon!
One reason is because, like professionals, I don’t want to accidentally be influenced by someone else’s ideas while actively writing. (I also don’t want to stumble on something popular and get jealous or start second guessing myself.)
Reason 2 is because once I get a really firm vision in my head of who a character is, it begins to become very difficult to enjoy depictions of them that don’t match my ideas.

fellow andrew appreciator if you like fic recs, "never fallen (from quite this high)" by crystalcrow is aftg by andrew's pov and an insane andrew study in general!
Thank you, anon!
Normally I try not to read fic once I start writing in a fandom but my aftg thirst is insatiable right now. I will give it a look!

I always find it hilarious that canonically Andrew has had a thing for Neil since book 1 while Neil was just thinking EXY EXY EXY. But in your opinion, when do you think Andrew’s physical attraction towards Neil turned into an actual crush?
Maaaan how much time do we think Andrew spent been thinking about blowing Neil for that to be the first thing he says when confronted with liking him?
I don’t know if Andrew was capable of an actual crush while medicated (maybe he was? Maybe when he was flying high he’d also be riding all those gooey quivery crush feels) but I feel very sure that the “pipe dream” comment was due to his awareness of said crush, so I want to say it was there in some form before he went off to rehab.
Next read through I’ll see if I can pinpoint an exact moment.

Hi! What make you like aftg? I followed you for capri, and saw you also posted for aftg, and decided to read it as well. Now, I have just finished the first book, and I felt as if most of the things there were predictable and/or a cliche. I don't want to judge a book by it's cover after I've only read the first book (esp since I'm a capri fan lol), hence my question, if you don't mind answering/have some free time! I value you as a writer and your opinion is prob the only thing that could change my mind on this. Ofc you're not obligated to, I am by no means entitled to your opinion.
Am I presumptuous and this series has more surprises to come, or are my taste and the series simply not going to like each other? I really, really wanted to like it lol, the art seemed great, and I've been seeing it everywhere as of late, and actually reading the first book was,, somewhat disappointing.
Oh friend, no offense taken!
Anyone who was hanging around while I was reading the series the first time saw me bitching about it. I found the plot really contrived and silly, beyond the stretch of my very forgiving suspension of disbelief.
I kept reading anyway, because I wanted to see how much crazier it got and because I liked the writing style even if the plot was bonkers. Somehow along the way I fell in love with the characters, particularly Andrew.
When you strip everything away, at the end of the day these are some incredibly deep characters with so many subtleties that you miss before you get to know them. I’ve read them through twice and listened a third time on audiobook and I keep discovering new things about them.
I would at least try to finish the series before deciding, anon. I totally get struggling with it up front. It might not be for you, but for me the payoff was so worth it.

Can't believe I will see Laurent grow up in Obligation of Kings sooner than the Captive Prince News :,D I am glad you are a writer for this fandom, otherwise I would die
I hope you enjoy it, when the time comes!

Crown & Paw sent me the preview for the Roxas replica I ordered and it looks amazing. Not 100% him but I kind of like that there are some little differences. It should be shipping soon and I can’t wait.
Pet parents, I have consistently good experiences with this company.
