Cassian Andor was not having a good day.

Cassian Andor was not having a good day. K2 was excited about this not because he wanted Cassian to suffer - it was a singularly ineffective motivator for him to change - but because he had predicted it, and the previous three, and this meant wonderful things for his semantic microdata framework.

Factors precipitating Cassian's bad days included, in roughly order of importance: stasis (physical), contact with command (in person), encounters with unknown individuals, encounters with known individuals, unfamiliarity, familiarity and whether he had slept, though that was sometimes a sign that he'd had a *good* day. "I'll only wake up to trouble," he would say, and opt to stay awake through the night in favour of catching fitful patches of sleep on the way to their next destination. This was, apparently, a trick learned he'd learned in the army, information that K2 tucked away in his memory.

He'd assumed, when he could first do such a thing, that his information on military protocols was relatively complete, but it quickly became apparent that the Imperial database he'd come equipped with was woefully inadequate, hence the semantic microdata project.

"Why are you so happy?" Cassian muttered, punching disconsolately at the crafts controls.

"I'm no such thing." It was important that Cassian not be allowed to compile his own semantic microdata until K2 had decided which expressions he preferred and how he might make them. It seemed like far too many assumed a tongue.
